Great place! Fairly clean, great staff, and super reasonable rental prices. Go on adult night if youre over 18 though.
I have been going to this Special Skating Rink for quite a few years! I have to say I have never had a problem with them! I am 65 and will spit in the eye of Covid-19! If this outbreak would have happened in the 60s all the people I know would have said why dont you just use that mask as a suppository! May God bless you who own and run this facility i hope to see you again real soon! Remember me when I introduce myself as Mr. Taz! Love you all and Thanks for the memories!!!
The employees were nice and friendly. Clean facility for the most part. However they are really relaxed on the mask policy once we got in there. Saw several adults and kids with mask down or more even wearing them. So when we notice more people not adhering to the mask policy we decided to leave.
I’ve been coming here for years since I was a kid, now as a mother I’m so happy to be bringing my own kids here to learn to skate. Service has always been great the staff never has never had any issues with any requests or questions. Food offered at the food court is your typical concession stand items, great for nostalgia also awesome pickles. Both rinks are very well kept and they always have a good mix of music anyone who says differently must just be super picky. The entrance doesn’t face the Main Street but then again if you have common sense and can read you shouldn’t have any issues finding the door. Lastly about the masks I’ve read comments about the staff not enforcing people to wear them which is completely untrue as far as social distancing goes you can’t really expect them to police every single person to stay away from each other, stay with your group and if someone gets too close for comfort perhaps skate away? My family and I will gladly continue to support this business so long as it’s open.
After 20+ years it was fun to put on the wheels again, fun atmosphere, good music, and lots of smiles from everyone. Good yes Thank you for the fun night, and many more to go.
Easily the best roller skating rink in a 30 mile radius, large skate floor with a separate small rink with rails for beginners. Floors are always smooth and clean, so you dont have to worry about getting tripped up. Staff is very talented and very friendly and social. Prices vary by day and event, but the price is always worth it for the quality they provide. They also have an adjacent building functioning as a skate shop, helping you pick out custom skates if you wish to buy them.
I only give it 3 stars for the simple fact that I did not go in so I will give it the benefit of the doubt. Was supposed to be meeting people here for a birthday occasion. First off the signs on where to park are very misleading although there is plenty of parking. It didn’t seem that busy so I wanted to find a place somewhat near the door which is located opposite of the road. The building has a fence around the back but oddly the door is on the back of the building not facing the road. There are signs everywhere saying they are not liable for theft or damage to vehicles which I understand but the whole place doesn’t seem very inviting from the outside. Then my friend calls and tells me not to bother coming in because it is really hot in there and apparently the ac wasn’t turned on and the food was non existent.
This breaks my heart because I literally grew up here and have a ton of great memories. I brought my daughter and her friends for some fun on a Saturday evening. The music was NOT at all what they advertise. When I approached a staff member about mixing up the genre of music I was told that they cater to a more adult crowd. Ummm, then why is your adult night on a different night? I love all genres of music being a dance teacher but all hard core rap and nothing else, really? The facility and quality of skate rental is still outstanding. But the rude young people running this family place has made it go down. I am totally bummed that it has gone this way.
Good roller skating hangout joint. Clean, well spaced and good
They keep it clean now. Staff is kind and helpful. The only problem I have with Interskate is the people (mostly teens and young adults) are using their smart phones while on the floor while skating. This should be prohibited and staff should be on the floor to maintain the rules. Ive seen so many kids ran over because of this, adults as well.
It was ok. My daughter had a blast at the birthday party. For parents though, the music didnt do anything for us. On a good note, the check-in attendants were very nice and respectful.
Vibes, staff, experience, everything overall was perfect. I will be back. 10/10 would recommend.
Been coming here for the past few adult nights and dang it’s been amazing! Normally it’s always packed but today was just right with not a lot of people but the right people! Music was perfect and well carried towards all! Skate counter girl was very nice. I’m sad to say I will not be back till next year but am glad to say it was a blast! Keep rolling!!!!!
After getting a lot of pushback from friends about going skating, I decided to venture out “solo”. I did an extensive search to find a rink suited for me. After reading the reviews and checking their schedule, I opted for Interskate.I’m glad I did. Haly was a first good impression. She was courteous, kind and super helpful. Registration was a breeze. I like your COVID-19 protocol. But most of all I like that you have the smaller rink for beginners. I was able to navigate this rink by myself while hanging on to the bars. After about thirty minutes I got more confident and skated for another ninety minutes. It was the best experience ever. I will definitely be back. I’m now looking to buy my own skates. I am recommending this place to my friends.
Pretty nice rink for roller and inline skaters. Well organized operations but guests need to take crowd and some waitings during peak time. Good for kids parties as well as adults. However snack bar offers various items but not quality but also a bit unexpected size.Note: go with RED ARROW when you have entry by your car
I actually enjoyed this rink. It reminded me of The rink in Chicago. It has a separate mini rink for kids and beginner skaters which definitely helps with avoiding collisions and those mini support walkers everywhere. We went on Memorial day. During the 2-6 pm session, they had a shark attack avoid the shark game for kids and adults as well as a highly intriguing race game. All and all, well be back soon.
The owner JoAnn was extremely rude to the customer. She yelled at me over the phone when I just had a simple question about the price for one of the group activities they offer in the summer. It made me feel like this is the worst place you can ever trust to send your kids over. Will never come back here again.
Had a great time. The DJ plays good music!
Great place to go skating. Ive had alot of fun here. Most of my childhood birthday parties were here and I had a great time. Its not to busy and its overrall pretty taken care off
Staff needs to do a better job of keeping patrons socially distant and need quicker service at the concession stand.
The skating rink is awesome but when you go before 5pm the music does not Cater to everyone it was just Country music on don’t get me wrong I love all kinds of Genres of music.
Good, clean fun! Awesome tunes, clean facility, great family environment.
If I could give this place no stars I would. It’s very HOT they have fan, but don’t seem like they had ac. It felt better outside then it did in the building. When I say hot I was literally getting light headed just with one lap around, the staff was very rude when asking about food FYI anything involving cheese they don’t have. Want cheese on your pizza not happening, no nachos, nothing. The entry way to the door is back behind the building good luck finding the place I took three loop around a before finding it.
They kids had a ball in a safe environment. Its refreshing to be able to see kids being kids.
Came out here on Saturday and it was packed!! They were hosting maybe 5+ Birthday Parties . . .extremely kid friendly. The facility is great, staff was friendly —- because it was my first time I wasn’t sure where everything was, they were more than willing to direct me to where I needed to go.Prices are fantastic! I do not have my own skates, but you’re welcome to bring your own, they even sell skates in the facility. Overall, this rink is great for family outings, beginner skaters and non beginners.
Saw them on tiktok lol, but I’ve been here once before nice rink
Theyre not enforcing masks. Its frustrating to see businesses unwilling to comply with public safety. We wont be back until they begin mask enforcement.Edited to add: I have no problem with masks not being enforced in snack bar areas. Exercising indoors is not a legal exception for wearing a mask. The mandate clearly states than unless you are eating or drinking, if you are inside a public space you must wear a mask. This includes places like gyms, as well. Your refusal to enforce it while people are roller skating is a public safety issue and people have the right to be informed that when they come skate at your facility, they will be exposed to others who are not wearing a mask.
Good fun. But lots of unmasked people plus some ignore the social distancing rules. A 40ish couple came right next to me at the counter and pressed for quicker service. Staff were all masked and stayed as far back as possible.
I love this skating rink! Have gone here every year for my birthday since I was a kid!
We had fun, but staff (mainly at front desk) was not very friendly. Concessions were closed, and we had no cash, so we had no way of getting anything out of vending machines either. We tried renting a locker, but the credit card part was not working, so I was not able to skate bc I had to stay with our belongings.
Very nice place to have fun with your lil ones
So much fun. Very affordable. We had a birthday party and had a blast. From the front door to the party host everything was perfect. Interskate gets my vote for best party venue. Plus, if you dont know how to skate? No problem. Theyve got lessons and trainers for around $5. Super fun. Visit their adjacent skate shop if youre a serious skater.
Went there today with my friends and it was great! We were there for 3 hours and was not at one point bored! They keep you entertained with games every hour and music. They offer skates, in lines, gift shop toys, mini arcade games (not a lot) and food. The experience is worth the $5 admission. If you do not enjoy loud music this is not the place for you.
We came for the first time here using a Groupon. I can tell yall we had a great time. It was 2 adults and 2 kids and we spent over 2 great hours skating. It was the first time in a skate ring for my 2 kids and they had a blast. The place has a big ring plus a smaller one for beginners/kids. Everyone was friendly and there is a great atmosphere. You wont regret coming here!
We had a great time skating here. Yes, the building is old, but the floor is nice and in good repair. You can rent inline skates or quads. You can also bring your own. There is food available for purchase. They also host birthday parties. Many different people were there, young and old and all varieties of ability levels, too.
As someone who has worked multiple retail jobs, I absolutely love the owner responses on these reviews. This place is super crazy fun and cheap! It’s a roller rink, people are not professionals and WILL fall down. It’s part of the learning process. It’s cheap fun for parents that don’t know what to do with their kids. Thank you!
It’s really disturbing to see that the owner is arguing with everyone on these complaints with no type of solution to the paying customer concerns or problems remember the customer is always right. I’ve been coming to this place for 3yrs and even bringing groups of people but after tonight this will be my last night CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING. And the customer Service is very unprofessional and I see where they get it from the OWNER! Take pride in what you do!
To start they were taking peoples temp BUT ONLY after you paid and came in the building. Very run down feel. AC is horrible. Was so hot after 20 mins all of us were dripping sweat beat red and had to leave.
Its an Amazing place, great employees, and even better owner !!!!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Good quality roller skates. Nice rink. Our group had a blast. The only down side is that they charged $5 to use their PVC pipe crutches for the kiddos.
Great place if you happen to get here when theres no birthday parties. Great for kids because theres literally no rules or skating etiquette taught. If you want to get ran into by a child running full force directly perpendicular to the flow of the rink go ahead. Just expect your kid to fall a lot and if you dont have kids and want to skate here dont bother. Because little johnny will completly skate directly at you and cause both of you to tumble.
Very nice, friendly and family-oriented place.....
Its going we saw a tik tok peeson
It’s This the tik toker that post?
This is the best! I been going there for more than 3 years! 100% recommend it
Well organized, very fun, and they happily accept Groupons. Their staff is super friendly and its always a clean environment. Highly recommend it.
Great place, clean, friendly, good for beginners and pros
Service was good but the guy at the skate rental desk was kinda rude. I know it was busy but you can only do so much, no need to take it out on the guest. Had a pretty organized birthday party, good prices, just major crowded. I didnt know that many people still skated, love that!
We went for a birthday party. Its a fun place. The kids took a little time to get up to speed. At the end they didnt want to leave. They are asking for us to go back again tomorrow.
AWESOME place for good family fun
I hate that people jump into the rink from no where and cut Others off! This place needs 1/2 walls of some sort to control and limit the places people jump in from both sides of the rink. I have seen so many ppl have to come to complete stops because of pp just jumping in.
As a business owner myself, I cannot imagine what it takes to sit behind a computer and chastise customers that are leaving feedback on your business. Sitting here with my jaw to the floor reading the responses from the owner, I’ll look to go elsewhere. Someone told me they re-did the Skating rink in Grapevine. I’m sure they aren’t so harsh with customers that are spending their hard earned money to keep their doors open. YIKES.
Prices are good, and the atmosphere is fun and nostalgic. Theres a small rink to the side for kids and beginners as well.
This place was amazing! Haven’t been in years, took my 15 year old daughter there, and it was just as bright and fun as I remember. She had a blast and so did I. Used a Groupon to save money and it was worth every penny. I wish they had more side rails though!
The skate ring was very organized. The staff was people friendly...I love that they have a SMALLER skate area it was great for a first timer... Had so much fun
Went for rollerskate classes, everyone working was so nice!
Great birthday party place.
Exceptional place! Spacious, nicely kept, clean, and friendly. A must do if youre in town Food is fabulously priced and affordable
Great place for some wholesome family fun! We purchased tickets off Groupon and getting in and snagging skates was super easy. The staff was really patient with us and super eager to be helpful. The floor space was quite large with enough room to accommodate lots of people. I also really liked that they had a separate area for beginners to practice a little before hitting the main floor! If you are a beginner, bring a couple extra bucks to rent a walker...my kiddo would have had a horrible time without it and having it definitely gave him the confidence to skate by himself after an hour or so. Win!We did not get any of the food or purchase the souvenir toys, so I cant share an opinion on that, but Im sure its similar to most other fast food/carnival food type places.Overall, we will definitely be back!
This place is great to ride and learn how to ride.
Interskate Roller Rink is a wonderful place to skate. The rink is always clean and fresh. The skating rink floor always looks brand new. The atmosphere is fun and enjoyable......also, the staff is professional. This is an awesome place.
Loved it. I havent skated in probably 25 years, but it eventually came back to me and I got a nice workout. Family wants to make it a regular event.
Good place. Not too expensive but dont like the music. Maybe th et y should play some 70s on weekend. Kids enjoy it though.
I love this place! Everything about it is just amazing.. I actually learned how to skate here!!
At 46 years old to be able to still be able to hang with my beautiful my 63 year-old mother out and have fun and see her smile and enjoy ourselves was a priceless and look forward to Friday date nights in the future
We went here for a school event and we had a blast. Food wasnt priced crazy or anything. The roller rink was big. They kept your shoes in place of skates so it was nice not having to pay for a locker for shoes. We had a blast. Music choice was great. Overall would go again
Great prices great place kids love all day from 10-8 for 5$
Grew up coming to this roller rink. It has changed over the years a lot. It is still a great place to bring the kids and have a good time. You can pick inline or quads for rentals. There are video games, concessions, air hockey, and a kids rink. A great time is always had at Interskate. If you like my review please toss me a like! Im trying to rank up here and its tough
My kids love this place but more adults then kids. Little kids dont get enough time with out adults.
We got a GroupOn pkg for 4 to celebrate my sons birthday. I had 3 kids with me (7, 5, &4) they all had so much fun. The ENTIRE staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. The whole facility was really clean. I especially liked the smaller separate rink that was great for smaller or beginner skaters. We loved the lights, games and music. Thanks to the DJ for the birthday shoutout. We will definitely make the drive back out from Dallas to skate again. This experience was definitely the best out of other rinks weve visited.
Prices a pretty good for admission and food. But on the Saturday I was there the staff was way over whelmed. No soap in the bathrooms. They were also destroyed.
Let me give a little context. i am extremely sensitive to sound and moving/flashing lights. the music was turned up way too loud for my liking and the music was all incredibly bass boosted, which made my head and stomach hurt and made it nearly impossible for me to skate without throwing up or passing out, so i had to take really frequent breaks. the little disco light thingies they have hurt my eyes and made it pretty difficult to keep my balance (even though i consider myself a pretty good skater as ive been skating professionally for almost 3 years now and its relatively difficult to make me *this* uncomfortable at a rink). it was also incredibly overcrowded and i got bumped into several times simply because there were WAY too many people skating at once.
This place is amazing. Vising from out of town, have skated in a lot of places and Interstate is one of the best. The decorating is fantastic with everything including the floor extremely well cared for. The staff is super helpful and really nice. The crowd skating were all having fun and happy. This place is a blast
Really nice place and good vibes
I really enjoyed skating here with my family. It is pricier than I am used to roller rinks being but that could be because those rinks are usually quite older and not updated as this one.I would have given 5 stars if there was more of a variety of music. I love dancing and skating but the music is not at all geared toward dancing music. It seems to fit kid pop music more than skating music that you can dance and move to. I danced more to interact with my kids but will probably go somewhere else for myself, which is a shame since this one is so close to my house.I wanted so badly to get out there and move but it was just like the radio was playing, not an actual DJ. There should be a difference.
Poorly managed, waste of time and money. What makes it worse, every valid complaint was argued by the staff of children, then the owner follows every negative review by trash talking and gas lighting the customer. Very immature and unprofessional.
This place has been a long standing skating rink that has kept up with the premises. The skates wheels have lights that light up as you skate! Its definitely a fun place for a date night or to have fun with the family/kids. The people are super friendly, and the prices are affordable. They offer lessons for $5 on Saturdays and Tuesdays are $2 days! Great place to hang out!
Place is large and well lit, but they dont have toddler skates and NO refunds on very OLD arcade games. They wouldnt tighten skates for my 3 year old because the owner gave instructions not to mess with them. Now we have 5 toddlers who cant skate. Lame.
I absolutely HATE when they play games or have certain dances. I sure the heck DO NOT want to play a stupid game. I paid to skate NOT play stupid games.
We had a GREAT time for my nieces birthday party! I havent been here in probably 25 years. I thought Id be better at skating....but need more practice. Shout out to Dawson! He was awesome and really made that party happen. He set up, tore down, asked all the right questions and even had good tactics on asking a bunch of 7 year olds what they want to drink. Good Job Man! You need a raise and possibly a medal Thanks InterSkate!
Prices are good my daughter loved it but although the staff was rude and obnoxious when I pointed out that I had bought a light-up watch bracelet for my daughter that the price on one box was for $3 in the same watches were in another container for a dollar they argued with me it made me very stressed and aggravated to have to sit here and argue with someone about a measly $2 that was simply their fault as a customer I should have not have been treated like that really ruined my experience I drove from Garland which was about 40 minutes distance but was happy that my daughter had fun they need to train their staff be not rude and Im noxious with the customers and just accept the fact that it was their mess up that the prices were wrong instead of me standing there feeling like I was taking advantage and they didnt have no understanding about that fact. When I then tried to take a picture of it the guy then grabbed the container and ran to the back with it . I was like wow I cant even believe this is even happening ...I dont know if I would ever come back to this place because of it but just letting everybody know
The facility is nice and certainly one of the best. Great place for children. I would like to see more floor guards. When I was there yesterday there was only one occassionally and he was pulling double duty working at the front door. Kids are allowed to skate against the crowd. One child had a terrible collision with another skater because of this. I have never been to another rink where this allowed at all. Plus there are not enough people that understand safety and skating etiquette at this rink. I think that having more trained floor guards would be beneficial.
Day 2 of my sons attendance at Summer Skate camp. He didn’t want to leave yesterday and today, in his own words, AMAZING!! Lunch and snack provided with several choices. Kid-centric staff teaching and guiding throughout the day! Clean facility, friendly, and affordable!
Fun place. Went on a Sunday at 1 for a kid party. Lots of children and birthday parties! My only criticism is the music at times was wildly inappropriate at times... Seriously cant believe some were playing during children parties. Thats why I did not rate above a 3stars
I loved this place... For exactly one day. I took my kids on a Sunday (September 29th) and we skated for a good bit of time in the afternoon before I was pulled over on my skates by a smaller child, rolled my ankle, and shattered my tibia with an enormous spiral fracture and broke my fibula in a seemingly freak accident. As I laid on the floor yelling for help, there wasnt an adult worker to be found. I was cared for by teenagers, some of whom did not even work at the rink, while I asked multiple times for them to call 911. In fact, no one believed that my leg was broken, and I ended up having to call 911 myself while I slowly went into shock. I had two small children with me who were in an absolute panic, and I had an unknown teenage boy holding my broken leg as he and I attempted to gently remove my skate so that I didnt lose circulation to my foot. There was CLEARLY NO accident training given to these workers. My children and I were carried off by the ambulance, and not once did an adult worker come to help or ask about my injury. An EMT offered to take my car to the hospital as they loaded me up into the ambulance--again, no adults from Interskate were involved. I spent 5 days in the hospital from the break which resulted in the insertion of a tibial intramedullary nail, which subsequently caused additional trauma in my knee. I am now four months post-injury and will have lasting effects of this accident for the rest of my life. My leg will not heal for at least 12-18 months. I was on medical leave from work for 6 weeks with absolutely zero weight-bearing ability for 9 weeks. Im still in physical therapy. More than $200,000 has been billed to my medical insurance. The reason for the 2-star review, is that the rink does not appropriately staff adults who are equipped to handle incidents like these. In addition, I have called no fewer than four times to ask for a copy of the incident report for my own medical insurance. Each time, the manager who answers the phone refuses to give me a copy of my report, refuses to give me their medical insurance coverage (which they are required to have for exactly these types of events), and refuses to tell me who owns the skating rink. After I called last week to threaten to sue for the information, the manager finally returned my call today (the caller asked for the mother of Andre BECAUSE SHE IS OBLIVIOUS OF MY NAME OR THAT I AM THE INJURED PERSON) to tell me that the rink had submitted my information to their insurance company and that someone would be calling me. I am shaking my head in disbelief as I type this, because if they dont even know my name, or who I am, or anything about my injury, I would be shocked that they sent anything to their insurance company. Again, when I asked for the insurance company name, she told me that she doesnt know. SERIOUSLY? At this point, Id be surprised if they actually have insurance. Skate at your own risk.EDITED TO ADD: I finally spoke with their insurance adjuster today and she told me that they do not have a medical coverage plan AT ALL. This place is super shady. How could you have a skating rink and not carry medical liability insurance? Thumbs down. They also determined that the accident is no-fault, because of course they did--there is no motivating factor for them to rule in favor of the payee on a claim. Guess were headed to court!
Great place... definitely going again and bring friends
Great for a fun time. Affordable and pretty good food for a roller rink
Loved this place when I was 15 and I still love it! Great deals on birthday parties :)
Fun fun fun!!! Great rink, super clean and well maintained. Skates and roller blades available for rent so everyone can join in on the funml. Off to the side of the main rink they have a learning spot for all ages.
Good place to have your kids birthday party. Very affordable. Not overcrowded
It was fun, havent skated in so long, but we made a day of it, And it was the best decision ever
