Wine was excellent. Some of the best white wine in the NoVa area. The operations disciplined commitment to cleanliness and appropriate distancing is an example of how to proceed in these trying times without compromising the winery experience. Great job!
I came here with my siblings for the Harry Potter themed wine tasting and it was AMAZING! I loved the Ladies man and the Perry so much. The little food pairing was amazing as well. The staff was extremely friendly and explained everything clearly to the point that a novice wine taster like me understood. I also tried the flight of cider and got a charcuterie board and I was beyond satisfied. I definitely understand why my sibling is a member of their wine club! I definitely recommend this place and would love to go back.
Think twice about going to Fabbioli Cellars. We went on Saturday after long hours at work (we are essential workers) hoping we can relax and enjoy. They started cutting grass. When we made a comment about it, employees acted surprised and asked if it bothers us... Not at all. Also be careful with their tasting option for $15. Wine and food... Do not order it unless you brought a microscope with you.
We got the apple raspberry cider for something different and good! There are others, didnt do a tasting. Nice spread out tables, area to bring your own chairs or picnic blanket
Really impressed with the wines here! Also highly recommend going during one of the themes. The Harry Potter themed tasting was great!
This was an amazing experience with great staff beautiful view and I enjoyed learning about different wines with different foods. They also made special accommodations for people with disabilities
We have been part of the wine club here for over a year. When we have visited the winery we have not had the best of welcomes. Despite this we continued the club. In June 2020 we were charged for the club wine, after two weeks of not receiving our wine by delivery I called three days in a row, but only got voicemail. I then spoke to the wine club manager who said “I am behind on the mailings and I will send your out on Monday”.after two weeks and not having received anything I called back. The same manager said “oh, the delivery was damaged, it will go out this week”. Really? She looked up my account and said “you are in Maryland right”. I said not, I am in Virginia. It was clear she did Not have her story straight. I asked that my club be canceled and I receive a refund. I also wanted email confirmation with a receipt that they refunded my money. She told me on the phone that she just submitted the refund. However, she sent an email and no receipt. BEWARE OF THIS WINERY AND THIS MANAGER. THEY ARE SHADY!!! IF I HAD NOT CALLED WE WOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITHOUT RECEIVING OUR PURCHASE. THEN SHE LIED TO COVER UP HER HORRIBLE. USTOMER SERVICE.
We came here for a family day. It is true that we picked a Thursday, a 90+ degree day, but with covid around we are trying to avoid crowds. Unfortunately, once we got here, we were told the only place we can hangout was at the family area, because our 3months old daughter. An area that has shade but no AC. At 90+ degree, we couldn’t afford to stay in the shade area, so had to get back in the car where my wife had to feed our daughter, and I the diaper change. As I write this review, I do want to highlight we never tried their wine, just commenting on the hostess’ service that shoved us in an area not with an AC. Although, they seemed to have plenty of indoor seating but not available to us.
Enjoyed a bottle of rose with a friend and bought 3 bottles to take home. Wish traditional wine tasting was back though. Will be going back with parents over Independence Day weekend to try wine and food pairings.
Not kid or family-friendly at all and the wine isn’t that great either. Would highly recommend that they change their policy to not allow kids if they hate them so much. The hostess made our entire party feel very awkward and unwelcome. I realize it might not be good for business (for them to come out and say they don’t allow kids) but I was always taught that honesty is the best policy.
We were hesitant to come here after seeing a few reviews indicating Fabbioli isnt kid friendly (we had 4 kids between 2 and 8 in our group), but we had a great time with the family celebrating a birthday in our group of 13. It wasnt very crowded, and the outdoor family picnic area had about 8 tables available with around 30 to 50 feet separation and plenty of open space. We reserved table 1 which was nice and big and had a tent setup for shade. We setup a ladder golf game and pulled the kids around in a wagon, all without getting anywhere near other guests. Oh, and my wife really loved the Outlander theme they have going on right now.
Great boutique winery, full of great spaces to enjoy their premium wines and small plates! Staff is super-friendly and offer great information on the grape varietals and wines! What more could you ask for??!! Oh, and the wines are great, try the Tannat, Meritage, and Something White, the Chardonnay was also very nice!
My wife and I are very Covid paranoid. We are always concerned going out as some business range from treating Covid serious to seriously-not-at-all. I would say that this place is very comfortable for germ conscientious people. All their tables are comfortably separated. They require masks (even sell some with interesting patterns (I bought a Star trek themed one)). Hand sanitizer at the door. Wine tastings are done self-service. This means that they provide instructions and the wine is divided up in to-go samples. Is it the traditional wine tasting experience; No, but appropriate for the times.Loved their wines.Went there on a weekend. It is a pretty venue/location. We sat in the family section which was nice and open. No not every table has shade; so if it is a scorching day one may want to avoid. The adult sections looked like they had plenty of shade though.Only issue was they lost our reservation which was made the prior week and is required for Sat/Sun, but they weren’t too busy at that time and sat us anyway (So maybe a bit disorganized but ultimately fine).
Fabbioli is always my favorite winery in the area, and the only one Im a wine club member for. Their tastings are unique in that they are always paired with food, and membership gets you 6 tastings for $70 every 3 months (valued at $15 each) plus discoubts on bottles. Their atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming, and they have taken excellent COVID precautions for reopening. Always a great place to hang out with friends!
Outstanding! Great wines and such a beautiful property with great views. Buy local, support local businesses and growers!
Nice food pair with wine.
This is at least one of my favorites in the area. I was fortunate to meet Doug in 2006 just after he opened. Hes done well, and has lots of good wines. We went as part of a group outing, and got 2 flights. I was busy socializing while my wife got them. Without any instructions I didnt sample them in order, but mostly backwards. All were more than pleasant, as was the snack plate we shared. We ended up buying a bottle of the Barbera, and finished most of it before we left. Easy to get to, good parking, and a new 2-level tasting house with lots of seating and good views. Try it, youll like it.
I had the pleasure to try out the wines and they were magnificent. Highly recommend it!
A vineyard with an atmosphere as enjoyable as the wine. The tasting room is very spacious as to not feel crowded at one tasting bar. There are several stations setup if you wanted to do sampling or there is a seating area upstairs with 360º views of the property if you wanted to get a glass/bottle/flight and just relax and look around. Definitely worth a visit.
They always have a rotating and seasonal wine and food pairing which are quite good. The way the wine flight menus are set up is a bit odd, as you cant pick and choose which wines you want. Most wines are available for purchase by the glass, and all by the bottle. Unfortunately the wines are much better than the staff, as they leave a bit to be desired. Definitely worth a visit, and recommend trying the chardonnay, petit manseng, and chambourcin.
Great wine, nice location, excellent staff.
The food and wine pairing it always amazing. I have been here many times and they never disappoint.
Visited with a large group and couldn’t have been more happy with the experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and the tasting experience was superb. Every wine offered was worthwhile and went perfectly with the food offered. We were able to enjoy food and wine on the lovely patio after the tasting. So fun! Highly recommended!
Don’t bring your kids.... We ended up having our kids with us. We were ushered to the family friendly part of the winery. Not the end of the world except it was the basement and there was a large group doing a tasting together down there. Made my wife and I very uncomfortable. When they finished their tasting and went upstairs to the more welcoming parts of the winery (the good outdoor seating is also adult only ) we asked the host if we could do a tasting down there. She said she would but we had to go coordinate with the tasting coordinating staff. They were very rude. Refused to offer us a tasting because we had kids so couldn’t come upstairs and did not have 7+ people to do it in the family friendly room even though there was a tasting station set up downstairs and a staff member who said she’d be more than happy to do it. The other staff who checked in on the family friendly basement were all very nice. Don’t set up a family friendly segregated area with tasting stations if you aren’t going to offer tastings. And why would you have your reserved tasting table in the kids section? If I reserved a table for a group of 15 and found myself surrounded by kiddy tables I’d be a little upset too when there is a gorgeous top level worthy of the Virginia winery experience along with the price of food and wine here.We used to go here before the new tasting building opened. It used to be a great place to relax with a glass of wine sit by a fire place and do the fun food pairing tastings and kids were not an issue. This used to be a family favorite. This experience we felt rushed and Unwelcome.
Fabbioli Cellars does a food pairing with their wine tasting which we really love! Their tasting does have several fruit based wines, and we would have enjoyed more of their reds. However, we solved that problem by ordering a flight of red wines after our tasting. They have an adult only area for the wine tastings, and outdoor seating where we took our red flight to enjoy the views of their vineyard.
Best winery I have ever been too. Every time I come to Virginia I make sure to visit.
We really enjoyed the tasting with the food pairing (for a good price too!). I loved the Barbera New Release from the tasting. We thought the outdoor atmosphere was really relaxing and enjoyable. Would definitely go back.
Enjoyable afternoon with a picturesq view.
Personally, the wines don’t match my tastes, but the food pairings are always very well prepared. They also offer a cider tasting recently. This is not a BYOFood or drink establishment, so plan accordingly. Tasting room can be very tight at busy times, and that will likely lead to mixed groups/parties of people at a booth. Also, plan to get dusty! There are no paved roads that lead here once you leave US-15. Overall, a solid stop in this cluster. Only three stars for wine, but the fourth comes from having unique bites.
Very nice staff. Beautiful relaxing place, even when busy.
Really enjoy their wines and they have a great selection, including some ciders and Port-style. The monthly tasting themes and bites really keep it feeling alive. The owners are always working on-premises and the people who work there are fun and fantastic. One of my favorite places in the region.
Excellent time and fine wine
Very crowded when husband and I arrived around 1 p.m. on Sunday. However, the tasting tables turned over quickly despite the crowds. I think we waited only 3 minutes for seats. During the tasting, several wines were paired with bite sized gourmet snacks so we could taste for ourselves how food paired with the wines. The staff was knowledgeable. We were pleasantly surprised by the Perry Pear Wine. We expected a sweet dessert wine, a style we dont like at all. However, the pear wine was dry, crisp. It would taste delicious with cheeses, a turkey sandwich, a bowl of butternut squash soup, or an apple crisp. We liked the reds, too, especially the Cabernet Franc. Nice seating areas inside and out to enjoy wine and snacks.
We has a lovely visit at this winery. Our hostess Celeste for the tasting was very knowledgeable, friendly and great personality. Her descriptions of the wines were spot on! We purchased several bottles and we will be back!
Relegated to Siberia in the basement—cold with an aggressive host. Didn’t feel like I had my questions answered well. Wines were half decent. Good reds
Although the wine sampler was amazing, I’ve never seen such a weak pour. I couldn’t taste some of the wines. I wish I would’ve recorded the pour it was so sad. For $15 don’t waste you’re money here and go somewhere else, there are so many wineries in Leesburg this is not the place to waste your time
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice wine parings with food. Nice venue with wonderful views. Relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful place to sit, drink some wine and eat some light food parings. Very enjoyable experience.
We brought a group of 8 for a tasting and really enjoyed the food pairing and friendly service. Really lovely outdoor space too.
This is an amazing winery. All of their wines come with paired items, and the pairings are thoughtful. Today and tomorrow, there is a Doctor Who themed tasting with British sweets and it was fantastic. Fair prices, knowledgeable staff, good atmosphere. Cannot ask for more.
Today was our first time visiting this winery and we couldn’t be more of a fan. My husband and I liked all of the wines we tasted except for maybe 1 or 2, and those wines/ciders were okay just not great. It’s a beautiful atmosphere and we wish we could have stayed longer. The food pairings with the wines were so good and you really got a taste for how much better your food would be when you paired them with the recommended wines. We ended up buying a whole case of wine, we liked it so much!
Great wine tastings, which include little bites to pair with the wines during the tasting. Easy parking, great space, amazing staff. I visit yearly and always have a great experience.
One of the best wineries in Loudoun. Love that the winemaker came from Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma. Everyone is super friendly, unpretentious and knowledgeable. I love the food pairings and gluten free option! Wine tastings change monthly, so I come often and love the experience.
Top notch wines! Excellent reds. Love the bites of food with wine tastings. Personable staff. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend!!
Stopped by chance on the way back to Maryland. Great time with friends. Staff was very helpful. Wine tasting and food pairings were great. Wonderful side trip.
Just excellent, the wine and food pairings were perfect! A great experience. Dont miss this!
One of my favorite wineries of all time. The setting is lovely, especially from the top floor of the tasting room. And their wine tasting is awesome, each wine is paired with a small food bite, which truly enhances the flavour of the wine. Its so rare to enjoy every single wine in a tasting, but it happened for me here. I highly recommend visiting here!
Such nice people and such tasty wine!
Awful service!
Excellent wine and fantastic wine tastings paired with food. The pairings made this experience more than a typical wine tasting. Fabulous room upstairs with a 360 view.
Classy! The wine is de-lish and the atmosphere has that certain jay-nay-see-qwa that will make your special event a hit!
Friendly staff, fun tasting and beautiful grounds
I’ve been to this winery now a number of times and absolutely enjoy it each and every time. The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable and on one occasion I was lucky enough to have Dave, the winemaker/owner, as tasting host. Totally enjoyable experience. Unlike many wineries that either make good whites or good reds Fabbioli has excellent wines across the spectrum. Having lived on the West Coast for almost 30 years, many of which were spent in N CA, I am happily surprised at the quality of N VA wineries and find this to be one of my favorites.
Great wine and wonderful pairings. Beautiful building with an excellent view of the vineyard. Wonderful cheese platter. A must go to winery.
This winery just keeps getting better! Theyve built a new tasting room (which takes care of the complaints about it being cramped) and they have a new upstairs seating area that holds 60 people. Its lovely!Fabbioli is unique in that its the only winery in the area that offers a small food pairing as part of the experience. The samples are bite sized but its certainly enough to give you an idea of how to pair some meals and to see how the flavor of both the wine and the food are affected. The wines themselves are tasty and they mainly focus on red wines (and always have, despite some earlier reviews). Their only true white wine is simply called Something White because they had so many requests for a white wine and ended up importing some west coast grapes to accommodate them. Other offerings include Pear wines which are surprisingly delicious, especially the port style wine. They recently began offering cider tastings in the barrel room too which was a pleasant addition. They were on the dry side though so if youre looking for sweet cider youve come to the wrong place! My favorite wine from the most recent tasting was the Cabernet Franc!
Amazing wines, great range, I love that they have food bites with their tasting
Horrible service
We have visited this place once, and we really enjoy the place the different kinds of wines that they have, though a little bit pricey but is worth every penny.
Great pairing with cheese you can get at Wegmans.
Rude, impatient, and snobby staff. Went on two separate occasions. Won’t be back. Decent sparkling red.
Incredibly rude staff. I would much rather go to a more down to earth winery than be regarded as less than by the local Leesburg “socialite” staff. Almost kind of funny how awful they are to paying customers.
Truly a beautiful place. The staff is wonderful. Their tasting was fantastic! Learned a lot about how food and wine pair together. Excellent place!!!
Really enjoyed the experience and the wines had some real character. Best of all the wineries I visited this week. Didnt have a single disappointing wine and will buy several of my favorites from the tasting.Staff were very pleasant, facility was charming and well kept. Food pairing with the wines sets it apart from the other VA wineries Ive tried and they were all spot on. Last winery we tried after Fabbioli could have benefited from pairings - especially since their wines didnt stand well by themselves. Definitely will return soon.
Great tasting hands down. First time that every selection was exceptional. Well worth the visit.
Excellent wines. Pairing are wonderful.
With so many wineries in the Northern Virginia area, it may seem hard to stand out amongst the crowd. However, the Fabbioli Cellars winery does, and on a consistent basis! With a unique food bite pairing with each tasting, that changes on a monthly basis, it truly is a delight to experience their wines and learn about how food impacts the taste of each.Family friendly, great location and excellent wines.
Great wine, great food, great staff, and had a great conversation with the people at the table next to us. That was our 2nd time going, and well be back for sure.
Great atmosphere, good staff, and terrific wine! Some of the best in Loudoun County if not in the state.
Best tasting around! They pair the wine with small morsels of food. Delicious!
Beautiful scenery and great wine, but service is lacking. I did not receive any help while choosing a wine to enjoy that day and the woman behind the counter took my credit card and when I asked for the total, she gave me an attitude and said, $37, is that okay?. I did not feel welcome there and will most likely not drive an hour to go there for mediocre service.
Nice winery. calm, beautiful atmosphere.
Not welcoming and rude personnel . With so many wineries around I will go somewhere else. Wines were average too.
Great people and wonderful wine... check out gift boxes to share interesting mixes of different wines for your family and friends.
My worst wine tasting experience. Been here twice and both times we had to wait 30 - 45 minutes before someone became available to help us with tasting. The place is very noisy and you cant hear each other in spite of sitting next to each other at the same table. The wines are meh at best. Considering the options of wineries in northern VA, there are at least a dozen others Ill visit repeatedly before showing my face here again.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great wines. Beautiful site.
Went to tastings at 4 different vineyards last weekend, Fabbioli was by far the best! The tasting experience was fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed the wine, bought a number of bottles. I would definitely go back.
Really nice and beautiful place. I love the design. But I have to say a few words about the service. My wife with 2 kids (I was watching it from the tasting table) approached the counter with a question and was rejected. And then people at the register started to talk about it and making faces. I do understand how noone wants to see kids in a winery but that was just rude. At least hide your feelings. Similar situation happened later with one of my friends who asked for a glass of wine and hostess apparently was making some weird comments...for her excuse, they were pretty busy at that moment...
We visited today on Mothers Day and was seriously impressed. The new tasting room was beautiful and the wine and food pairing was sublime. I cant wait to visit again!
Absolutely fantastic afternoon wine tasting, very friendly and informative. The wine and food bites is an amazing experience. See you next time we are back in Washington. Neil.
Great wines and great outdoor environment. Perfect for days with nice weather.
A group I had sent there was greeted rudely and asked to leave. They were told a group of 10 could not be accommodated. I will never send anyone here again. That simple. There are plenty of fantastic vineyards in the area. This one will never get our business again.
We love the wines here so much that we joined their wine club. Doug Fabbioli is a great winemaker!
Always excellent! Amazing wines and food plate options.,,beautiful building. Worth driving in the snow to get there
Great wines!!! There tastings are a little different the have food pairings which is awesome 1st you taste the wine is then with the food. Gives a great chance for the flavors to.really come out!!! Down side you dont get to keep the glass???? Worth the stop beautifuly landscaped yard and nice tasting room
Nice building, but not a walkable winery. Blends were so-so, with the sweeter ones surprisingly better than most. The Viognier was just on the edge of being an interesting choice. Perhaps another time.
While the staff was warm and friendly, the wine was not good. The food pairings were unfortunate. This winery is a hard pass.
We had a very nice experience at this relaxing winery just outside of Leesburg. They have a unique food pairing approach to compliment their wines. You wont even think you ate close to the hustle and congestion of the city any more.
Great staff and great wine!!! Definitely will be back!
We have been wine club members here for years. Best winery in this area!
Wine is just ok, used to be better. New tasting room has great views, though.
Great place for wine tasting. Everyone is helpful and friendly!!! Excellent selection of wines to choose from.
Great local winery that always has a fun tasting experience and delicious wines and ciders
