Perfectly good park with benches, swings and playgrounds, and large shelters for big groups. I think one of the citys paved walking paths goes right through the park, too. But, if you just want a small picnic table on your own, there arent many options.

Spacious, close to schools and accessible to neighboring homes. Softball field, playground and pavilion with electricity for cookouts. I use it a lot to train my pup. And the Grandchildren love the playground.

Brings back wonderful memories. Hasnt changed much over the decades. Im not sure that it should.

I like this park because it has a lot of open area, good for dogs and other animals. The park is kept in decent shape with all the landscaping and all that, but I believe that the park playgrounds need to be updated.

Baseball and soccer fields. Volleyball pits. General playground equipment, swings, slides, etc. A gaga ball pit has just been built and you would need to bring your own kickball style ball. Large pavilion with grills and a stone fireplace. Lots of open grass areas.

Loved it like I always do. Only problem with the park this time was all tiny little flies that were biting me and everyone else but I still had a lot fun.

This park is one of my faves. Both of my kids have played here as they grow. Has a nice, big shelter for get togethers and cookouts. The bathrooms arent terrible. There are a lot of different areas to go to in this park.

They specifically had rooms for sped and the basketball room had mats wonderful vents by the way loved it.

So beautiful. Plenty of room to walk and let kids run and play in the grass. Loved kicked around the soccer ball. Clean, beautiful, one of the many beautiful parks in Lawrence. If its in your neighborhood or on your way home give it a visit!

This has always been a favorite. I miss some of the things they used to have, but still love going.

We tried to pick up our friend but he got lost. We searched for an hour...

While not the best park in Lawrence, I do like it a lot. It has both wide open fields for kite flying and nice, shady wooded areas for relaxing picnics. The playground equipment is in good shape and I really love the stone picnic shelter. A lot of people enjoy the baseball diamond.

This Park is small but it seems to be well kept and then people seem to be friendly. I took my daughter to the infant swings to have her first swing. She loved it. There was one person and their dog at the park and a group of older people at the covered tables. Seems like it is well hidden and perfect for small familys for a simple park outing

Every year the 4th and 5th graders have a kick ball tournament pretty fun to play in

The bathrooms were not open today on the 4th of July and we had to go all the way to McDonalds to use the bathrooms and thats really hard for kids and elder people

A very nice lovely little park. I reccomend going here to relax and lets the kids play and whatnot.

Huge, spacious park! It has covered picnic tables for group events, swings and a playground, and a pretty decent sand volleyball court.

Nice park on the south edge of Lawrence. Many do not know that the north part is a city park and the south park is a county Park. Great place for a family picnic.

Fun park on the South side of town. Usually pretty crowded on Summer evenings due to baseball and softball games that are going on.

Big open space that’s great for playing, but the play grounds aren’t too great.

Lots of shade, 2 gazebos play equipment for kids and a drinking fountain. The grass is thick and lush however in the evenings the mosquitoesCome out so bring bug spray if you are planning an evening trip:)
