Just wish there was smaller toys for kids to play on but other than that its awesome

A fun park! They have a brand new play structure, swings for big and little kids, baseball fields and tennis courts, a covered picnic area with tables, and a recreation center. It is clean and located nicely in a neighborhood.

Great park for toddlers and big kids! Low swings allow easy sitting for little legs. Soft and bouncy turf makes for a safe environment for boundless fun.

I dig this place. Say what you will about it but Ive experienced rec centers or similar establishments in a lot of different places. Holcom Park Recreation Center is by far one of the best. Its clean...I know some will not agree with me. But keep in mind that a lot of people these days will never be happy with a given situation anywhere! Also remember that this is a place completely open to the general public. Lol its fairly difficult to keep a place spotless when folks from all walks of life and varying ideas of who is responsible for a persons mess. Anyway, the staff all seem to be pretty cool and friendly. The grounds are well maintained as well and too and also. There will always be some things that could use improvement anywhere you go. So be happy with what you have available Lawrence! Be grateful for this place existing and is open for any and almost all. Ya know, within reason. Its probably not open to bears...bears are to do all their bear stuff and their activities elsewhere. That is all. Carry on. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program which is already in progress...

Love location. Great swings and child playground. Decent BB fields. Original indoor facility not maximized or updated well.

Awesome community resource. Plenty to do inside (bball, racket ball, pool, equipment) be outside (volleyball, bball, bocce ball). We always sign our son up for kids day out when school is out and its offered.

Went here today for our walk for Huntingtons disease research and fundraiser. Park is super nice and clean.

I really appreciate the new playground. The tennis courts could use some fence work, but the playground is new and fun. My toddler loves climbing to the big slide. It also seems like a very popular place park in the early evening time. Tons of families with primary school and younger children.

Indoor: basketball court(s), small weight room, racquetball court (reservations suggested but not necessary if not being used). One large room that can be divided into two rooms by sliding curtain that can be reserved for functions. Outside:two racquetball/handball courts, tennis courts, 4 large baseball fields, pitching/batting tent structures, 2 sand volleyball pits, large pavilion with picnic tables (can be reserved for a fee), playground jungle gym equipment with slides, several swings including infant/toddler safe swings. I loved bringing the kids here when they were younger and I lived in Lawrence. There was always something fun for them to do inside and out. They loved this community center! When I move back this summer I plan to make use of their facilities again with their little cousins. I love the outdoor playgrounds, the open fields and the baseball diamonds. When the weather is bad the kids would play air hockey and racquetball in the gym. Its one of Lawrences gems that everyone should take advantage of.

While mostly a good place for basketball and volleyball inside and baseball/softball outside, there are rooms available for meetings and parties if you dont need fancy. Parking is pretty limited, so if youre coming for a game or tournament, you may be walking a bit to get there...but it is a sports complex, so expect some exercise! Theres also a picnic area with a playground on the west side. Great for a group of 50-75.

Holcom Park has grass, trees, tennis and basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, a rec center, and lots of fun toys. Its clean and well maintained. If you go there be sure to climb the cluster of trees next to the toys, its pretty fun and not too tall so even accident prone people like me can safely climb it. They also have a gazebo for birthday parties. Yay!

Very nice place to take kids to a park or they have indoor courts as well. They have outdoor and Indoor drinking fountains.

Decent park with play options for very young (toddlers and babies) alongside a big toy. my kids had a thoroughly good time.

We rented the community room from 2hours to hold a memorial for my brother. Everyone was respectful and kind.

Nice public workout, basketball...indoor/outdoor, outdoor playground - nice for the kids, shelters for birthdays...come out for fun.

Ive mainly used the playground, and not the actual rec center. Its geared​ towards older kids, and is difficult for kids under 4 to navigate. One incredible thing is the multicultural diversity found here. Ive heard Hindi, Mandarin, and Spanish all in the same day.

Great place for families and friends to come and play basketball, racquetball, or pool. Also has a weight room and conference room. Most things are free or have a free time.

Great facilities. I come here for sand volleyball or a pickup game of basketball. Always clean and well taken care of.

I absolutely love this place. Enough outdoor play area for hundreds of kids. Decent indoor facilities as well.

I enjoy this place a lot. My friends and I go here about 4 to 5 times a week depending on our schedule.

Ive been coming here for my sisters softball games for about three years now and the facilities are always clean and well kept. The food stand serves decent food for a sports complex and the benches and tables are in good repair.

This park is primarily for sports. There are a couple of pavilions with grills here and there.

One of the older gentleman whos an employee there, was very RUDE! When I asked to use a basketball from there rack used for the public, he was very disrespectful...smh:( Ill make sure to get his name later on, and warn all of you.
