I love this place. This time around was different. One entry and exit. Temperature head taking at the door mask is required. Room service was amazing. Everything is giving at the door with a lovely greeting and they are extremely quick to. My room was amazing and cheap. 5 days cost me $300 dollars. The pool is breathtaking and relaxing. Drinks are served by the pool deck but you must wear a mask when your not in the pool.
This is a great place to stay. Its in the heart of Fremont experience where you can also experience the Zip line.. Regular temperature check as you walk in and out of the hotel plaza. One way in One Way Out. Housekeeping was amazing. Front desk was amazing. There is also a McDonalds here and a Subway. Theres also a little Korean restaurant and gift shop too.
Great Room ...The luxe is very up to date. Young female receptionist was a pleasure. I loved Bingo and it was all around very convenient. My husband never went to the strip. The Fremont Experience for 2 nights in a row was good.
Great location, love the convenience of the restaurants inside the hotel. Parking was a plus and free... Pool area was nice but a bigger pool would be even better, the pool filled up so fast. Pool opens at 9am and close at 7pm which was a bummer. The toilet and shower room was tiny. Like getting dressed in a closet. They should upgrade the bathrooms seriously. It served its weekend getaway purposes so five stars it is. Oh my room view was nice... Windows dirty tho
Positive: Location Negative: no coffee pots no maid service no shuttle unfriendly front desk
Positive: Room was clean Negative: Straight up ghetto.never ever stay there.
I had a wonderful experience at the Plaza and enjoyed a great view of the original Las Vegas during the classy Old School night. The hosts at the front desk got me checked in quickly and gave me a luxurious room I was able to relax and unwind before enjoying a night taking in all the exciting experiences The Freemont Experience has to offer!!
Booked a room for the weekend, located on the six floor. The information desk was fast and employees greet you with great service. Got a nice view from the room, and the beds are super comfortable. Perfect hotel if you love Fremont. Also a fun place to lose money.
Casino is great and beautiful. The rooms though are like a normal hotel. The water was hot coming out of the bathtub faucet but when you turned on the shower it was warm and went cold fairly quickly. The ac was noisy and sounded like there was a diesel truck in the room with us.
The only nice thing about this hotel was the half descent room we stayed in. Security was rude from the beginning when we had to hand carry our belongings to our room (no carts provided) only one of us were allowed to carry belongings in, while the other stayed at the car and was forced to check my temperature and show ID each trip(I told the officer it would be at least 10 trips but he made me show my ID and take my temp each time). The following morning, on our way to work, we got trapped in the elevator. We had no cell service in the elevator so we called on the elevator phone and the gentleman that answered seemed impatient and offered little encouragement other then saying he’d let the elevator workers know about it. Eventually after being trapped for some time they got us out. The officers asked if we could fill out a statement and waiver. We told them we were running late to work and asked what good it would even do. They said they could leave a note with our room# at the front desk and that they might wave our resort fee. They told us we could go to the front desk after work. When we went to the front desk they had no record or notes about the incident they gave us the contact info for the Risk and Safety Manager and said he’d be the best person to talk to. Called him and he said he hadn’t heard anything about the insistent and treated me as though I might be making the story up. I ended up tracking down the gentleman who answered the elevator phone to verify my story and whether the front desk was ever informed. I found out the fronts desk had been informed so I went back and talked to the lady who had been told to take down the notes and she said she’d been too busy and never wrote down anything and that was that. No one cared and no one would do anything! I have a record of all of the names of those involved, I also have a statement that I filled out at the security desk after checking out. I doubt anyone will get back with me and I won’t be back!
Do not stay here they have roaches. The customer service is horrible they do not answer the front desk the security does not come help when help is needed it is just get all the way ghetto I would’ve had a better stay at the motel six at least they would’ve left the lights on for me this is the most horrible state I have ever had in my life I stayed in room 938 in the south tower beware do not stay at this hotel.
A really great place... But...Honestly in todays competitive market, you can afford to be picky (especially since its your money). In regards to the the Plaza, the age of this location is really showing through. Despite the renovations, clearly you can only do but so much with an older building. Old doesnt have to mean bad, however...There are six things that really bug me.1. When you open the door, youre able to see the bed. Im honestly not use to that.2. No fridge... I mean really?3. Hard beds4. Small bathrooms5. No room service (that might be Covid related).6. You can easily hear your neighbors, and outdoor traffic. Im on the 4th floor and I hear the train pass everytime. When I come back, I wont be staying here, however Ill am enjoying myself while here so that helps.
Out standing professional and friendly Front Desk staff!(20)Thank you Plaza for being the ONLY DOWNTOWN HOTEL HOSTING BINGO!!! Another plus, HASH HOUSE A GO GO is one of my favorite restaurants and its located inside the plaza!
Positive: Close to what we came for. Negative: everything was fine
Didnt have the greatest stay here. But, we shouldnt have expected much with a 3-star hotel. Most staff members we came across were great, our issue was with the room; tub drain backed up and toilet not flushing correctly. Wished it ended better with decent winnings at their casino. Maybe better luck next time.
Such a great old style casino. Play the Silver Strike machine and win a collectible coin.
Excellent service and very accommodating staff everything was clean and had that home-like feel. Old Vegas at its finest.
Nice location but put by ice machine and then construction outside hotel began before daylight. A hanger left on bathroom door hook not mine or friends so how much did they clean? Bed comfy and loved the pillows.
Positive: Location to Fremont experience Negative: The smoke (marijuana) you can smell it all in the halls and elevators.
Great place to stay down town. Felt very safe as far as covid concerns. Lots of sanitation spots for clean hands. Just about everyone wore masks. Staff are really nice. I stayed there right after labor day and got really good deals on room and bingo vouchers for bingo. Bingo staff are also very nice and you can also get free drinks. Room was good . Only negative was that bingo packs I thought were a little over priced for the pots that u can win.
Location was great! Room was nice although there was pee on the toilet seat in the room that said “cleaned and disinfected “. Casino was nice although not very generous in winnings!
Positive: Staff was friendly and the cleanliness of hotel Negative: No
I had a great experience. Clean and comfortable room. My only bad experience was not the hotel fault. The guest across from 921 fault like it needed to wake up the people around her at 3am in the morning because she was up, elaborated not of sound mind. Outside of that my guest with Plaza (itself) was GREAT.
Plaza hotel is right across Fremont street pedestrian mall. Rooms are designed really well and have plenty of space, including a walk in closet too. Rooms have huge mirrors and great view. Parking is little far but connected to hotel but I had issue with elevators when using from parking lot. It has plenty of dining options including steak house, pizza place and food court. Almost forgot to mention it has a rooftop outdoor pool.
Had a great time stay at this hotel/casino. Love the Old Vegas feel! My room had a great view of the pool. I had the flashing lights of The Fremont Experience calling for me to come down as join the fun! Perfectly located just across the street facing The Fremont Experience, down from Main Street Station, and multiple other attractions. This Casino has never lost its ambience!
Positive: Very clean Negative: Nope everything good
Stayed at North Tower. Quick check in. Clean room. Strong ac and shower. Perfectly situated. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Will skip car rental next time. Casino clean. Staff friendly and accomodating. Did the late check out for extra $22. Will stay again.
Positive: Was conveniently located by freemont street Negative: It was dirty and the employees are rude
It was the other patrons that made the difference. The mood in the casino was so positive! Everyone was laughing, joking around and just having a great time. People were so very friendly and The Plaza knows how to treat their members. Food, drinks and freeplay. I had a blast!
Nice hotel and casino In the downtown area. They are on the job about cleaning and facial covering... i took off my mask to drink a beer and forgot to put it on and they kindly reminded me to put it on.. not mean or offensive and I didnt take it that way... i liked what they were doing .
It was a really nice stay staff were accommodating even during covid timesDid full id and temp checks before enteringOnly problems were two things the king bed was very uncomfortable to sleep in. It was hard to get good sleep because of that and parking on the weekend because of the casino so you would have to drive around the parking lot for awhile looking for someone too leave.Other then that great place and relatively cheap stay :)
Clean, comfortable lodging. Some tight quarters in the room we stayed in. (The bathroom is quite small). Water temperatures fluctuated a lot, for hours it was only hot water. Nice complimentary items. No fridge or microwave in room. TV is nice, and beds were comfy. Great location to enjoy Las Vegas. I wish the pool was open a few hours later, (it closes at 8pm, could be 10pm). The casino was clean and lively from my observations. Overall, great stay and efficient.
They have BINGO!!! Only reason not give star is the front desk lady on check out was not friendly and very condescending. Rooms are older but clean and comfy.
The Hotel itself was Awesome, the Casino Not so much.... But had a good time anyway
So its my Birthday weekend. First night TV is not working after we come back to the room. Called in the morning and just wanted to switch rooms. They totally upgraded me for being local and choosing the Plaza. Kristen was the gal that spoke to a manager. We love the Plaza. I pray they never sell/change names/implode. Totally on the old school level. Great Job Team!!!!
Great happy hour and stellar service!
The Staff was Nice, the location is great, right across the street from Fremont. I would definitely stay here again.
I love this place. The people are respectful, the casino is giveable and rooms are comfortable plus its at the tip of downtown las vegas action.
Oscars was great. The rest was typical Vegas. Which, as a 50 year plus native, was quite nice.
We loved our stay for two nights at the Plaza Hotel. When we entered the room it was clean and smelled fresh. Very big bed and very comfortable. Large bedroom it even had a safe in the room also a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board. We went down stairs and played the slots then went to walk the strip. I purchased some items from the gift shop and purchased some food from the Chinese place in the hotel. It was ok, we just got our food before they closed. I bet it is better when it is fresh. It wasnt bad or we were just hungry...lol... we slept so good while we were there. Our room had an amazing view of the tennis courts, pool and jacousy . We could see the light show on the strip also. We didnt have much time to watch tv but the room did have a good size tv. I suggest this hotel. You will like your stay also.
Positive: I like the location and food options in the area. Negative: I wish I had more towels and soap felt cheapened.
We got 2 check in early, no extra cost & were up graded 2 suites. They r so beautiful & great view was amazing. The staff Kristin, checked us in. She was so sweet, kind & friendly. Gary her boss, very helpful & suggested she up grade us. Hotel is so beautiful. I will be staying here on all up coming visits.
Being that 2020 has pretty much failed, my mini vacation to Vegas . The Plaza showed me the very best time accommodation were by far the best ! The staff was top notch and Oscars out did themselves ! The very best place totalky will return again !
ID & Temperature check upon entry.I stayed in a room that wasnt remodeled yet ( I did not upgrade) Room was clean, comfortable. I have stayed here on 3 different weekend & never any problems.
Nice variety of machines and video poker. All employees are Very polite and helpful.Comps are decent and all facilities are immaculate.Considering staying in the hotel on my next visit.Well done Plaza.
Plaza hotel is the best on Fremont street Friendly good service great music good food in RESTAURANTS clean rooms just a wonderful place to stay in Vegas
Found a great deal from Groupon.. I so love this place for old Vegas.
From the doorman to the security guard, to the service entourage at Starbucks, McDonalds, and the Janitorial Staff....an absolute 5 stars! The doorman will check your temp and to insure that you are wearing a mask throughout your time inside the Casino/Hotel. When I asked where the McDonalds was he was kind enough to give me directions with such simplicity (usually I get lost ). Smoking and drinking is of course still permitted. There are signs through out directing you to the restrooms and there are plenty of sanitizing stations to Sani your hands. Mom had a great time staying there with little time to tour but from the sporadic trips made throughout everyone was polite and very professional. Funny we didnt see much of a commotion anywhere due to President Trump visiting Las Vegas for the weekend. Guess I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Stayed in the north tower and loved it. Very clean and new feeling for an older establishment. Staff have always been friendly. I enjoy the dealers and pit crew. No problems getting drinks if you are playing. The pizza I was comped after four hours of cards saved the day. Its our favorite hotel at the moment!
It was good went to McDonalds and got coffee and then went to Fremont Experience and look around
Had a great stay here. The room was clean and the beds comfy. Had a great view of Fremont Street. And the noise level was minimal. But if it is to loud for you they have complementary ear plugs on the nightstand. The casino floor has a great variety of machines.
Clean. Temperature checks. But no valet (for obvious reasons). Always stay here and they never disappoint.
If you want to register your betting for William Hill they have it here. Nice to go to avoid strip businesses.
The beginning of Fremont downtown. Perfect experience for Classic Las Vegas. Hotel is always clean and staff super friendly.
Its ok... small bathroom. No outlets to plug in phone, etc. Staff seems nice. Only place checking ID and Temperature
Outstanding historical landmark Hotel... Here are a few pictures, Ive only visited a few times, but the entrance of this place is so famous, as most of you will know it has been in many movies. Lot of construction around it but still accessible fairly easy. For loading and unloading and valeting your car. I will do a more detailed review later.
Love it!!!!! Spacious room, got a view of Fremont street. For the price awesome.
I love The Plaza! Great location at the end of Fremont Street downtown. Amazing food upstairs at Oscars and theres also pizza, a taco joint, Subway and McDonalds in the lobby. As far as gaming, The Plaza is the only place I could find that had single zero roulette anywhere downtown. They do a pretty spectacular fireworks show every year on July 4th that is worth checking out. Service from the front desk staff was impeccable considering what they have to deal with on the COVID restrictions when I was there. So far its by favorite spot downtown.
Surprisingly affordable we were surprised and impressed when we got here right when we walked up to the counter. The attendant named Marfi was so friendly and helpful. She answered all of her questions and even gave us some good advice about things to do in Vegas. My wife recently pulled a muscle in her leg and she noticed and made sure we had a room that was very close to the drive in pull up area so my wife wouldn’t have to walk too far. We really like the room that we got. It’s a lux room. it has a refrigerator, coffee machine, and newly renovated. Nice modern style. Right next to the bed is a charging station with USB plug-ins very useful. We love it here.
I had a reservation at the hotel it turned out when I got there according to them I never had one and it was never guaranteed when I reserved one of the lux rooms, they instead tried putting me into one of the older rooms and they tried to charge me an extra 25 dollars if I still wanted the upgrade. The manager didn’t care and was extremely rude
South tower is by the parking garage. Dont carry luggage through casino, until you know your tower no bellcartsDo casino website, perks and bonuses, room is same $ on stay. Then dont forget to use them. Parking is validated for rooms. Start at beginning of the Freemont street experience.NO FRIDGE OR MICROWAVE, some tote coolers through. Rooms not sound proof . There are many smoking rooms, but windows/balconies not open. If you can sleep in during the day, good luck! you will hear the music and the sound of the town from about 9 a.m. till hours in the dark.Restaurants are open here
Great ol school Vegas feel. Excellent location at Fremont & Main. Rental car agency in lobby is very good. RN4L !!!
Love this place. Great pool. 1st class
The staff is always friendly and the rooms are super clean. Probably one of the best and most fairly priced places to stay downtown!
After a horrible long check in experience, my girlfriend and I made it to our room. After about a hour of laying down, she started to scratch and said she was itching. A half hour after that I went to the restroom and observed a bedbug crawling on my shorts. We immediately got our things, went to the front desk and asked to be moved. The hotel told us to fill out a incident report, which we did.. we also took pictures. Was told by hotel staff it would be taken care of and I haven’t heard from them since. Over a week of waiting now
This is our favorite place to stay in Vegas. Rooms are affordable and decent. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. You are walking distance from lots of entertainment on Fremont. The casino isn’t the biggest, but lots of selection on slots and a fair amount of table games. My only complaint is that the rooms do not have a mini fridge. Always a fun, positive experience here.
Been to Vegas twice. Stayed at the Wynn the first time. The Plaza has it beat just by sheer character.
With it being on fremont its the perfect place to stay !! The pool is nice and relaxing and its close to everything Vegas has to offer !!
Great gambling drinks and food . The rooms our nice and clean . I will definitely be coming back to the plaza 5 stars
Always enjoy the plaza. Great place for fun and rest afterwards
This was a great room at a great price. We got room 2012. It is the second highest floor with an awesome view of downtown Las Vegas. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The only reason I didnt give five stars is the lighting above the mirror over the sink was very poor and made it difficult to apply makeup. Heres some pictures of the view.
Positive: Location Negative: Dirty sheets on a supposedly cleaned sanitary room. We requested new sheets and duvet. Then the new ones brought up were even dirtier. Absolutely disgusting. Never going back.
Positive: Location Negative: Old and room was small.
It was meh. It works for a less expensive alternative to staying near the Las Vegas strip. The location is very convenient for access to the Freemont Street experience, but the rooms are very basic. The 100% ID check just to get into the hotel was a drag. The pool closes at 7pm and the gym is closed due to Covid.Ultimately its passable and it wasnt a bad experience. The staff were very nice too.If youre looking for a place to simply use as a base of operations while you explore Vegas, it works very well, but dont expect a mind blowing hotel experience.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! We been staying at the plaza for over 20 years so disappointed will never stay here again!!!! First off checking in was a nightmare they didn’t have any bell carts so you have to carry all your luggage yourself. Then we got the old school package we had 3 people in our party and none of us were able to use the free play it didn’t work. At checkout we had a 7pm flight and we asked if they could hold our luggage till our flight they told us no we had to keep it with us all day. We had to pay an extra $22 to keep our luggage in our room till 4pm anytime after 4 they would charge us another night.
Upon arrival, there was a minor hiccup with the room reservation.Gary, was very helpful and resourceful. He quickly resolved the issue and was courteous and very professional. Check in was a breeze. The rooms are upgraded and great! Not only is Plaza a great value, but the service and location are above par.
This 3 star hotel was amazing. It was the best stay.
Had a good time didnt win much money but I didnt lose
I always enjoy staying at the plaza its a convenient location in downtown hopefully I get a deal next time I stay
Room was large. Beds were comfortable. Fitness room was good! Staff was really friendly. Food choices in the hotel were great. And you are literally across the street from THE Fremont Street. The Pool at the Plaza is in season and making waves in Downtown Las Vegas. With a 70,000 sq. ft. pool deck, you’ll have plenty of space for relaxation and entertainment. The pool and hot tub are heated year-round. Towel service will be provided, with pickleball courts and equipment rentals also available.
I stayed here at the Plaza from August 6th-10th for my oldest daughters birthday. This was the second time I stayed here with my mom and kids. In spite of everything happening right now I still had a great stay from beginning to end. Dawna checked me in and she made sure my rooms were adjoining and she had the best attitude and she was very polite . Security was nice and helpful. Housekeeping cant come into your room right now but if you need towels or toilet paper they are readily available to help you. I will be out there in November for my birthday and I will definitely be staying here at the Plaza.
Great location if you love Freemont. Rooms are clean and spacious yet the restroom is tiny. Upon first entering there is a peroxide oder which will dissipate if you leave the door open for a bit. Besides the small bathroom the biggest downside are the cheap mattresses. You could feel the springs and on certain spots, you could tell where they were beyound broken in. There is a bit of noise from the street but its Vegas!
The rooms were nice very comfortable beds. McDonalds in the lobby fremont street right out the front doors
Had a great time as usual, we spent alot of time at the pool. Vienna is the best!! Long Islands are great
I visited CIRCA. I was totally underdressed. Nightclub atmosphere not seen since Greece Monte Carlo. For the moment you enter three levels of gaming, entertainment and drinks. Inside sits an 800 hundred seat open auditorium featuring the latest in football betting and sports. Each level features different levels of gaming. A hgh rollers dream, and a lookeloustop. Go in and see for yourself, a welcome addition to the Fremont Experience. Parking $4 an hour. Yuk.
The casino is decent but the hotel is questionable at best. We reached out on the 100% satisfaction promise contact and was contacted by Gary Vickery Director of hotel operations. He refused to correct the issues due to we booked thru Kayak. We were charged for a room upgrade. If it is an upgrade I would hate to see the non upgraded rooms. I am upset over the upcharge this after we ran up a 644 dollar bar bill at the pool bar, ate in all their restaurants and gambled heavily for 7 days. We always get so much more from The Golden Nugget and other casinos we stay at. We normally organize travel in groups. This time we brought 5 other couples with us to the Plaza. We were a sizable amount of business. Bottom line, we got less and were charged a upgrade for it. We will not return.
Had a great time staying there last week.. We had a cabana at pool for three days and had great service.. Thank you scott and cory for being amazing to my group....
Stayed here Wednesday night, fabulous price for what you get. Great view on the front side of the hotel, very short walk to downtown. They gave us earplugs at checkin because apparently it gets extremely loud staying on the front side of the building which was concerning, but with the fan on we didn’t have any trouble sleeping. Little older style of casino, several coffee kiosks and eateries downstairs. Smoky (of course) but clean.Cons: Tiny bathroom and extremely slow front desk
Most of the old video machines were taken out. The new machines are not wanted! The only thing good about the hotel was the variety of places to eat.
Used to really like it years ago (been 10 yrs). Not a fan now. However, must say, dont like the whole downtown atmosphere anyway. Can get high just walking down the street.
Super clean, nice staff. The location is awesome, you can enjoy the fremont street experience just in crossing the street.
Nice little downtown spot, but got charged for parking. An internet search said first 90 mins was free. I was there about 75 minutes, so thats false.
I love downtown. Its the closest thing to the Vegas I grew up in. Still has the familiar smell
Awesome view from rm 2345. Slept very well. Thank you! I will return soon. Aloha
