I had a pretty good time at the Downtown Grand. The location is great, barely a two minute walk to the Fremont Street Experience. The casino is small but it still had a decent selection of games. The valet staff was really nice in particular. They also have free self parking which always had spots close to the ground level. The look of the hotel is gorgeous, chandeliers, beautiful artwork, lots of natural light.I enjoyed the citrus pool deck, and the bartenders there were super friendly. It has a nice view of the city, too.The fitness center is extensive, but there aren’t that many options for weight training besides dumbbells and a couple kettlebells. The room was easy to get to, and it was spacious and well-lit.There’s a safe in the room, a full length mirror, and a very clean and nice looking bathroom. The biggest problem I ran into during my stay was the lack of staff. When you need help, it’s hard to reach anybody because it seemed like each employee was always busy or nowhere to be found. They are supposed to check everybody’s temperature at the door, but half the time there was nobody standing there to do it.Other than being understaffed, I really enjoyed my stay and I would consider visiting again.

During this time its hard to find a place with an open pool. 9am-730pm. If you have children go early and during the week. If your single or coupled its cool. Bar an food service. Drinks are expensive, vending machines are great have drinks, snacks and toiletries. Coffee place in lobby only open until NOON! Freedom Restaurant open til 3am, awesome Prime rib 3p-3a. Get 25 pts on players card pay half price. Coupons for food, and return stays. Pizza Rock! Triple George for fine dining open. Walk to Fremont! Oh if you have kids remember FIRST FRIDAY DOWNTOWN IS CRAZY,NO ONE UNDER 21 ALLOWED. ITS STILL VEGAS THE FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH! ENJOY!

The new hotel tower is nice but I recommend a valet team for luggage. The towers are all considerably far from hotel check-in. Its slightly awkward to walk through a gaming floor with luggage. This facility is far enough from Fremont to spare the noise but close enough to walk back. Its only a block away. The digital vending machine in lieu of a market is nice! Great loyalty program and coupons for your next stay.

I have not gambled here since it was the lady luck. If im downtown i prefer el cortez. I go to the grand for coffee on friday mornings. It has a nice seating area, however you cant sit down in there anymore. If you look up at ceiling there are reproductions of famous art work. That is why it is called art bar. See how many of them you can name. Ok i stand corrected. YES... You CAN sit down in the art bar. Beautiful highback leather chairs. Perfectilly socially distanced. I think they are yellow. Get in there.

We are currently sitting in the hall of our second room within the hotel. Our first room had the worst beds I’ve slept on in sometime. So we paid more money to upgrade rooms. We got to the room and it was 82 degrees. So we set it to a lower temperature and went to dinner. Came back and our room was 93. Staff is polite, but we’re done. Not a great place. I’m writing about the valet attendant this morning and how nice he was. Hunter was the only one out there and no matter what people threw at him, he kept his cool and was very friendly. Making sure the customer was taken care of.I did not have any cash to tip him. And shame on the Hotel for not having a system where we are able to add gratuity for the attendants when we use our card. I offered to Venmo Hunter a tip, but he graciously declined. You’re awesome, Hunter!!

We stumbled upon the Grand during our outing to the Speakeasy at the Mob Museum next door. The Grand is, well grand! Wonderful, clean, and inviting environment. There is music and a great ambiance but not too loud. You can actually hear yourself think! Extremely friendly staff, quick and frequent cocktail service, and a nice selection of slots and table games. I played craps for about an hour there and had a really fun time. The dealers were helpful, friendly, and had a great witty sense of humor. Everyone at the table had a really great time. The other staff from the cage, casino host/concierge, and players club were more than accommodating, going the extra step of helping out even when it wasn’t something that would normally fall within their role. This is definitely worth checking out. It is my new “spot” in Vegas. I know we’ll be back every trip in the future!!

We were on our honeymoon and with how we were treated at the hotel...why would we stay there again! We decided to check out a day early and go home! There room was adequate. Its close to Fremont Street. We spent almost a full day at the pool and about 5 hours into it, the pool manager rudely told us we needed to move the chairs that had been in the exact same place all day! He was not nice about it at all and behaved more like a bouncer than a manager. I was very shocked to be treated like that!! He argued that they were closer than 6 ft from the other side of the cabana, which they absolutely were not! He then aggressively moved them to about two (not 6) feet away from some other chairs. It was very intimidating and unnecessary.

Check-in was never mobbed with people, things just seem well polished and taken care of.The rooms are nice, very well appointed for the price. We opted for a Premium King, and were very happy with the room and amenities. I think it has to be the nicest room Downtown, bar maybe the Nugget (but the Rush rooms at the Nuggets are 2X/3X the price).Location is brilliant - Just off Fremont street (1min walk or less), so you get to enjoy to hustle of Fremont, but you dont have to really deal with it when you want to sleep/relax.Casino was great, really nice dealers and spacious. Stayed here in 2017 & was so disturbed by the noise I need to post something to raise awareness. We stayed here one night on the way up to Zion and then two nights on return through Vegas. The units given were opposite the Hogs and Heffers Bar which for some reason sounded like they pointed all their speakers towards the hotel. Hotel looked like they tried to mitigate the sound by increasing the acoustical effectiveness of the windows, as they were thick. But that did not help. The noise for all those nights didnt end until 4 or 5 in the morning. Shameful that surrounding business acts like its 1970 with being super rowdy. Also upon our family walk around the area we noted tons of hawkers for strip joints with scantily clad accompaniment. Not really for families. I know it is north LV but come on. Hotel was clean, food was good, valet was helpful. The city does have ordinances but they are not enforced.

Sadly, we will no longer be visiting this property. If you are a fan of skunky marijuana, this is the hotel for you.We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and have really enjoyed it, but this time it was a completely negative experience for us. From long lines at check-in, an overcrowded Citrus pool area, the CONSTANT stench of marijuana, even in the non-smoking tower and just poor customer service, the boutique hotel/casino is now a place that I cannot recommend. We had dinner at the Freedom Beat restaurant, the food was OK, but the bartender was rude and seemed to be upset that he had to take our order. He couldnt really care less about the customers. This was not an issue that was due to COVID-19, this is a lack of caring for the customers. It is not about the customers, it is about the almighty dollar. So as we are preparing to leave, I must say, sorry, we will not be coming back.

The mac and cheese sandwich (while sounds scary) was absolutely life changing. Partner with some loaded fries and we were ready for our show.We saw the magic show Leslie McKinneys Presto! My wife and I were definitely treated to an awesome experience. It is a smaller venue (about 30 total seats) but that made the show very personal, intimate, and way more engaging and interactive.Fantastic acts, illusions, and amazing humor throughout the entire performance. And way more affordable than many other shows. It was truly a memorable evening for us. I laughed so hard a few times that I almost messed myself. Will definitely be seeing that show again, and when we have our next Vegas vacation, may be looking to stay at the Grand.

Who on earth thought putting a half door on a shower was a good idea? The floors got soaked & slippery. This was not cleaned in the morning yet. So I did not stay in the swimming pool because of this. The continental breakfast is definitely not worth it, as it is super small and there was no variety. The pool is a very nice infinity pool with lots of space to lounge around it. Out of everywhere we visited, this hotel had the most kind staff. The Casino is on the smaller side compared to the other big name ones, but we found that to be a very nice thing. We never really had to wait for a table and all the dealers were super friendly.
