This place seems to be over fished and people dont pick up after themselves. Caught nothing except tiny bluegill. Fished around most of the lake and almost every opening had someone there. I wish I could say it was a great spot, but its not.

The dock off the main parking lot needs some serious attention. Borderline on walkable. No kids should be on it. I did catch some bluegill on a fly rod and the small mouth below. Wish I could take at least a belly boat to the middle. In distance on the photo can see part of dock sinking.

Im not very happy the way this park is on the website it states its handicap accessible and its not at the moment very disappointed drove 35 mins there and the dock was separate from the ramp and sideways couldnt even fish because of the ramp also the ramp was full of leaves and over grown trees on the ramp and the trail was nothing but stumps something needs to be done to fix this problem so we can continue to fish and give my client the independence he needs and deserved.

I love fishing here if you have patience and know where go and what to use the fish will bite. I caught that largemouth on a Hula Popper if that helps anyone. Great place if you can deal with the weeds as well. Fun place to take kids and its completely free only downside is its close from like October to May but guess that lets the fish recover a little. Tight Lines!!

They need to make people clean up after they are done. But it is a nice spot

Decent fishing if you have the patience and can handle the weeds, pretty big Pike and bass here do to it being catch and release only. No kayaks or inflatable boats allowed, not the best place to take a kid fishing as the floating docks are practically held together by twine. The railings on the docks are very loose and sometimes non existent. Overall decent place for bass and pike, would not recommend physically disabled or children fishing here though. Typical fish caught here are: bluegill, yellow perch, largemouth bass, northern pike, and theres rumors of channel catfish in the lake but Ive never tried for them so I wouldnt know.

The place used to be nice but people havent been kind to it. Quite upsetting when people abuse whats given to them for free. The docks have been vandalized and people leave trash laying around. Also a lot of dead fish in the water because people dont know how to catch and release properly, and it smells horrible. So thanks to the ungrateful people who have no respect for natural widlife and free parks Michigan gives us. At least I got this nice pic of frog near the waters edge .

Fishing used to be better. Definitely worth going to if want to catch catfish. But its a fun place to throw some lures and drown some worms if your not looking to drive very far of you live close by.

Fishing pier has collapsed! You can still fish the shore but casting is difficult. Hopefully they will get the pier rebuilt? Anybody have information?
