We have been going to Fairfield Lakes Park for several years now. We love to take our dogs walking on the trails, especially during the sunrise! We really enjoy capturing the changing leaves during the fall as well. Fairfield Lakes park will always be one of our most favorite places to photograph couples as well!It also seems to be a great place to Fish! We always see families fishing in the early AM!

Had a fun afternoon with family of all ages kayaking

Great little spot to cast a line only had 30 minutes and didnt get one, but saw them out there splashing the surface so theyre out there!

Nice place to take family and young kids. Get spots for kayak entry. Clean, mowed trails that get you around the ponds with some access to the Wildcat Creek. Good fishing spots scattered around the area

This is a very well kept park with trails and fishing.

Relatively clean and stocked with fish. Very limited shade makes hot sunny days rough here and pretty plain scenery are reasons for 3/5 rating

Fishing from the shoreside is horrible. High weeds in water always cause the hooks to get stuck. Be nice if they had a pier. Not worth the fishing weight you gotta carry to come out empty handed

The park is very clean. My family really like the area. If the bank that I was at had more of the brush removed it would open the fishing areas.

Quiet, peaceful, pleasant. Lots of different kinds of birds. Nice place to fish. Picnic tables to use, plus benches to sit near the water. Also a clean outhouse. Less than ten minutes from town, yet feels like its far away. Good photography location. Beautiful scenery.

Nice clear lakes, great for kayaking, not so much for shore line fishing.

Very nice lakes for fishing or even just paddling around in a kayak or canoe. No motors allowed. No launching ramp accessible by vehicle, you must be able to carry or wheel your vessel to the water. There is a pea gravel area to launch.

A wonderful place if you have a kayak, but overgrown shrubs along the banks leave few places to fish from land

Too much overgrown vegetation around the water, but other than that, very good fishing.

Its close, fishing is good, trains are well kept and s lot of them. Many bird species. Just a nice place to go and relax outdoors. I dont recommend weekends. But through the week its quite nice.

Need to clear away more brush from around the lakes banks to be able to move around the lakes better while fishing. Could be better stocked also.....

This place is great for fishing and you want to just enjoy wildlife there, go ahead

Beautiful quiet spot to wander and listen to the birds. The lakes are so peaceful and there are benches so you an sit and watch the water and picnic tables scattered so you can have a private lunch if youd like.

Nice kid friendly place to fish, but the 8:30pm lock out is too early for summer time.

I was passing through, and I found it a relaxing place to take a walk or sit and think for a couple of hours. I was there on a beautiful Saturday in June, and others were there kayaking and fishing, making the park feel active, but not crowded. In the summer, the park closes at the earlier of dusk or 8 PM, and I lost track of time and didnt realize how quickly 8 PM came up.

Very nice little park. Has some decent size ponds and a nice little trail around them. Fished a little but didnt catch anything, missed some bites though so there are definitely fish there.

Bluegills gotta be seen here! Fisherman prove that they are so blue and plentiful. The lakes are quiet and full of wildlife.

It is beautiful and quiet. Ive taken many great photos here as well that I get asked about a lot. People are surprised when I tell them where they were taken.

The water is nice and clean, and its a quiet peaceful place. Love going out here to let my pups take a little swim. Love watching their feet through the water!Never overcrowded either.

Very nice little park with some benches and picnic tables, easy access fishing, tons of Grasshoppers right now, good for bait, bad if you are afraid of hundreds of jumping/flying insects :)

Quiet park with four fishing ponds, with close access to the Wildcat Creek.

We come every week to let the dog run. Love the changing seasons. We go early so dog does not freak people out.

Beautiful facilities but access to the lakes for bank fishermen is terrible. Something needs to be done about that.

Park closes too early for my taste, and Ive never caught anything worth while here. But! Its an awesome place for small fishing with the family

These ponds use to be really good to fish until the Lafayette Parks Department took over. When Indiana DNR maintained the properties, you were allowed to fish the ponds day or night. Now, park is only open from dawn to dusk, and they do make sure people are out. If the parks department allowed night time fishing, which is the best for these ponds, due to the clarity of the water, then service would be rated excellent.

Be a really great place if visitors followed park rules, quit trying to trash it out.

Love fishing here, only problem is fishing is typically only good towards the beginning of the season. Wish there was a catch and release rule here.

This place is great for photography and fishing or just relaxing and watching the sunset. They stock the pond across from the large parking lot with trout each spring as well.

Opens at 6 a.m. Wonderful and clean catch and release fishing. Great place for little ones and families.

Large piles of dog Pooh....dirty and meeting place it appeared for shady activity.

If Im desperate to catch something or if Ive had a long day at work, Ill stop in here to catch and release the small bluegill they have. Ive never caught a decent sized catfish here. The biggest problem is, if youre out to fish in this area, you have to deal with people that have no fishing courtesy. On more then one occasion, Ive had people cast in just 10 feet from me. Its a great place if you want to take youngsters, but if you dont want to listen to kids screaming, or rude people, Id avoid this place like the plague.

I took two of my grandsons, 15 & 18, with me to the north east lake and we had an enjoyable time catching panfish on bemoths and worms. I was pulling in a nice size blue gill every 4-5 minutes!! We did not have a trout stamp so we avoided baiting for them although we enjoyed watching them in the water. Great family place. There were four different families within earshot of use and we heard them hollering every time they caught one!! Great time!!

There were a lot of people, but plenty of fishing spots. Quiet, and nice catches.

The Dayton pits are a good place to go and spend the day fishing and kayaking we always have fun when we go out there
