Great park. They did a fantastic job remodeling the park a few years ago! Our kids love the playground, fun splash pad, and little field that doubles as an ice skating rink in the winter. The statue and placard on George Poage are powerful. Appreciate the citys effort to revitalize this park and area of the city. Great neighborhood.

Good place for skating ice skating in winter. The park is well kept. It is small and the skating rink is the right amount of space not to get stuck in the middle of you are learning how to skate.

If you are looking for a place to skate for free. This park is really cool. Its small and the rink is the right size to skate with out getting stranded in the middle of it (for rookies).

Tonight was our first time visiting the park. Playground equipment seems to be fairly new. The grounds are well kept. Decent amount of space for everyone to skate. However, I was a bit disappointed and confused with information found on the website. Their page states that the skating hours during the week are 4-8. We arrived around 445-500 an empty building. There wasnt a park and rec employee available to assist with skates. Only one person in our party brought skates from home. Others needed to rent skates but were unable to do so. I did place a call to the main office. They said that an employee was in their way over. We waited almost an hour. Still no attendant. Our children were extremely upset. It ruined everyones plans for the evening.

A new park that is dedicated to racial equality. Includes futuristic playground equipment Wichita makes the large steel rockets we played on as children seam like jokes...honestly. pictures to follow. Also: memorial walk way and play water area, the visitors center isnt active yet. Very nice walking area too.
