I really do enjoy the new 9D virtual reality chair rides at the new Immersion VR Experience. They have over 50 new virtual reality packages to choose from, I wish they had three chairs so my family can all ride together. My two sons also like the virtual reality gaming stations and the racecar chair rides. It’s the only place in Knoxville that has over a dozen packages for the 9D virtual reality chair rides.

Being new to VR i had no idea what it was all about. After i got brave enough to ask, Courtney expertly guided my wife and I through the most amazing experience ever. The realism was phenomenal and well be spending many date nights in the goggles. Thanks guys!!

Although the staff was very nice (I’m grateful for their service), the rest of the experience was very negative. I tried two of the 9-D Chair experiences and they were both really disappointing. The first one I tried was called “Beautiful Earth.” I would give it zero stars. Negative stars if possible. The experience was staring at one spot on the earth for four minutes while a voice talked about how awful humans are with all their wars and bloodshed. It was a completely negative experience. All I wanted was to experience the wonder and beauty of the earth. Not listen to a rant about how awful humans are while looking at one single picture the whole time. The second one I tried was the desert travel coaster one (i forget what it was called). It wasn’t even virtual reality! The video feed had black bars at the top and bottom. If you looked around it was the same picture everywhere you looked. My five year old phone and a card board box create a better VR experience than that. It was pixelated. The sound when out on one side. The chair movement which was basically non existent was out of sync with the video feed. Not the 9-D experience I was paying for. I still have hope that the other experiences are better. I only tried 2 out of several, and Wild Demesions has more than just the 9-D chair. They have a racing simulator that looks great. I want to go back and try some more things. But if the next thing I try is like the first two I tried that might be it for me.

The racing sim was very disorienting. The main cause of this was the headset they use. They have Vives, but chose to use some weird cheap brand headset instead. This caused a lack of FOV as well as motion sickness. Would recommend they replace them with Vives in the future :) (There are other attractions I havent tried, but I assume the live seat vr isnt using a Vive either.)

Courtney helped us set up our sons birthday at Wild Dimensions and we had a great time. There were ready for us when we arrived and everyone got on to the VR consoles right away. They helped the kids get adjusted to VR and gave guidance on what to do when the kids were stuck. The adults in the party had a blast too. Beat Saber was the favorite. I was concerned about the younger kids getting motion sickness, but it turned out that everyone was fine and didnt feel any sickness at all. They were meticulous about cleaning the headsets between uses. All in all, it was a great 60 mins of play time for our group of 5. Will be going back the next chance we get!

The virtual reality quit working and showed a blank screen the whole time starting less than a minute in.
