Visited last night for a group game night, just my second time here, but it was excellent. Drinks and food were great, staff was professional and worked to keep everything clean even when the place was packed. Games, music, fun atmosphere, I love it. Definitely coming back soon, so worth the 45 minute drive for me

Love this place! Drinks and food are amazing. The service top notch also. Their mixed drinks are some of the most creative that I have had in Knoxville and I havent had one yet that I didnt love. They also have some really fun non-alcoholic concoctions for the kiddos.

Really great place to relax! The pinball tables are fantastic, the drinks are really well made, and the food is REALLY good for casual eats; Theres only one down side.The one thing that keeps it from being 5 stars though are the booth experiences when playing video games on the flat screens. The pair of joycons I got when playing the switch had severe stick drift, and playing the SNES classic, the buttons would stick inside their sockets.If theyd keep regular maintenence on their console controllers, it would be an easy five stars.

Couldnt have asked for better childhood flashback in this very clean upscale but classic joint.The bartender definitely recommended a couple of drinks (oh so good) and their signature piece is some sort of candy or candied fruit inside of the drinks which makes the perfect combination of Awesomeness!As far as games go in the very front of the TOKEN they have board games and so many to choose from. Around the outer walls there are old school joystick/arcade type games as well as pinball. They have tournaments throughout the week so definitely check in if you feel that youre man enough to take on that challenge! And as far as Xbox PS4 Super Nintendo etc type games the TVs are mounted up on the wall and most of the controllers are wireless and you can play for free! Yes I said FREE!THE CROWD WAS EASY GOING AS THERE IS A DEDICATED BAR WITH SEATS AS WELL AS TABLES AND HIGH STOOLS TO SIT UPON. YOU COULD GET LOST FOR HOURS AS THIS IS A MODERN-DAY ARCADE WITH A HINT OF ALCOHOL AND ANOTHER BIG PINCH OF FUN!A great tip for all is to TIP the bartenders! They do a great job at keeping you entertained, feeding you knowledge and giving you a great time while playing some old school games or new school! Serious Gamers beware.

Solid nerd-centric atmosphere, good deals on drinks. Seating is weird but lends itself to game playing, which is simply something Im not used to. The tacos were great, however and I watched my girlfriend play Mario Kart racing as I ate tacos and drank beer at a bar, with 90s hits playing in the background! It was a great night!

Token has really went downhill. I don’t know if there’s new management or what: but the service and drinks went downhill. My server tonight wasn’t bad by any means, but on other occasions it’s terrible. The drink tonight was kinda gross, tbh.

This place is amazing. The food is way better than typical bar food. Lots of board games, three tvs with consoles at the bar so you can play games while youre there, and most of the arcade games are 1 to 2 tokens. Would give this place 10 stars of I could.

Amazing food and atmosphere! We had so much fun here were already planning our next vacation around going to it. There are awesome nerdy references everywhere, board games, Pinball, arcade games, and instead of sports on the bar TVs its Mario kart! The delicious cocktails are all nerdy references, and come with strange accompaniments like a rocket popsicle, a chocolate twizzler, or nerds candy.

One of the more enjoyable retrocades due to the mix of pinball, modern, classic, and more unique games. Good bar with cocktails, beer (mostly canned/bottles). Food is forgettable.

I LOVE this place! This is my go-to arcade in the area, even though its a bit of a longer drive than many of the alternatives. The food and drinks here are really good even though they arent the focus of the place. There are free arcade and card games for patrons to play in addition to the ones that require tokens, and the crowd that this place draws in is always a friendly one. Always a good place for a night out!

Always recommend it. While it feels more like a fancy restaurant during the pandemic (you must buy board games to play them, and you purchase time on the arcade/pinball machines), its still a great place to relax.

We went here for the first time this weekend and had a blast. The food and drinks were excellent, the environment was super fun, the staff were all dressed in movie costumes and were very attentive, and the arcade was amazing. We went here for lunch and stayed for about 2 hours after playing the games. They had probably a dozen or more pinball machines and the Stranger Things machine was our favorite. They also had quite a few retro games like Pacman and Donky Kong. After we played in the arcade, we found out that they have home videogame consoles you can play all over the restaurant for an unlimited amount of time, so we spent some time playing the Super Nintendo. All in all, really fun and we will be back!

We had a great birthday celebrating with friends for sons 12th birthday. The variety of games included video games, arcade games and boardgames for all ages. The food and service were excellent and every was child friendly.

Great mixed drinks and fun games! You get a huge selection of board games you can play at any table as well as several consoles spread throughout the room. There are a lot of old and newer arcade and pinball machines.It can get crowded pretty quick, but its never been intolerable. The food is surprisingly really good for being a bar. You pay $5 for a stack of tokens that let you play all the games.I had an issue recently where my credit card was given to the wrong person, but I got it back the next day and the owner gave me a gift card and apologized. They were really cool about it and made up for the mistake.They are kid-friendly until late and they have all the snacks and nostalgic items an 80s kid could dream of. This is my new favorite bar in Knoxville.

Cool little place with a ton of cool games. The beverages are super fun and inspired by childhood favorites like boozy slushies and alcoholic Capri suns. They also can make other drinks as well but what’s the Fun in that while you’re playing Mario kart?

Video/board games everywhere. Fun video game themed drinks and very helpful staff. A lot of the games are free so that is a plus. Not a place to have a deep conversation just a place to grab a drink and play so games.

If I want to go somewhere with my family this is the first place I think about lots of cool retro games for all ages not to mention that they have food. Also they have Consol games on the walls and board games that are both freeplus the coloring books and their drawing utensils are an amazing quality. GO ELSEWHERE!!There was only one person working. The food was good & the drinks, were ok. I still gave the girl a great tip, but I got ignored more than once. Im not from here, Im traveling for business, staying @ the Embassy, I remained beyond nice the whole time. To anyone non-local, i wouldnt recommend this place. I still gave the waitress a great tip, because I just still felt it was the right thing to do. Hope this place improves, it has potential, but not when theres only one person and customers are getting ignored.

I live this place. Great food, great drinks, and you will never run out of stuff to do. And if its before 10 PM you can bring your kids. All around a really great, unique concept and execution. We just had our sons 8th birthday party here and it was a blast!! My husband and son come every Wednesday for an hour of games and soda and they always have the best time! It has a retro feel to it with plenty of games and fully stocked bar! The kids and adults all thought it was the coolest place! Jennifer who is the bartender/waitress/party attendant was awesome and went above and beyond! Ryan who assisted with the party also was awesome too!! They both went above and beyond!! They made our party great and made sure our guests were happy! I highly recommend Token Tavern to everyone!

My friends and I have been going to Token since it opened and we have always loved it. Here recently it has been CRAZY busy, which is great for business, but it seems like they dont have enough servers or bartenders to get to everyone. Most of the servers are rude now and act like you are inconveniencing them (we have all been servers and bartenders before) My friend was sitting at the bar tonight and people literally looked at her and ignored her and never asked if she needed another drink. I love this place but now I feel embarassed because the service has been so bad lately and my friends dont want to go back.

Great board game & pinball selection. Lighting is oddly dark and multi color, and music is a bit loud - kind of like a serious having spit crossed with a nightclub. (Though if they had a big party, Id totally go)

Token now has amazing comic and game related stuff all over the walls so it just looks dope once youre inside. Also has amazing food, I keep finding things on the menu that I absolutely love. And they also have Killer Queen. Best arcade game in all of Knoxville.

Food was actually surprisingly good! Drinks were served quickly. The staff was friendly and professional. A lot of bars dont exactly hire professional people and these people were. The prices were super fair, and next time I go Ill be sure to play some games!

I have been wanting to go here for about a year and finally ended up going. It was a lot of fun! They have a ton of board games for people to play for free on the side including some expensive ones like Catan and Game of Thrones Risk. They have video games scattered everywhere for everyone to play for free as well. They were newer systems as well as older ones. The pinball machines were also really nice and great condition. It was about $1 for a game of pinball. They had other arcade games as well that took tokens. Food was good as well. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend!

Nice option for entertainment beyond the usual. Not a lot of video game arcades around. Menu prices are reasonable. And, they rotate new pinball and arcade games into the lineup.

Really fun place with arcade games, pinball machines, and Nintendo, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. They have a very fun vibe. They have a bar and food, so its a great place to spend lunch or dinner, throughout the day, its a good arcade for kids, but in the late evening, no minors are allowed. Its great for parties and a lot lunch or dinner, but only come here if youre good with noise and crowds.

A lot of people love this place, it just isnt for me. When I go to a bar, I am looking for 2 things. First, good drinks and second, able to have a conversation with my friends. Token has too much going on, which makes conversation difficult.

Just ask the bartender for a controller and you can spend the night drinking and playing a classic. This locale gets busy during trivia and during the weekend which might deter introverts who would really enjoy a place like this. My advice would be to go during a slower time if you can. Theres a good mixture of pay to play games and free fun to be had here.

My wife and I were there for a meeting with some work friends, and the experience was great! Excellent service, delicious and afordable food, several games and a great ambient. We really enjoyed be there! And this day was a very special one, because apparently many people was there playing a game in a worldwide tournament and the best third player in the world would be there this day, so many people was there very excited!

So I have heard of this concept before of video games, board games, and other fun stuff nostalgic to those in their 30s and 40s. Just so happened we were here for a 5-yr-olds birthday party (at 11:30am). It was fun, my son got a cup of tokens and enjoyed the games. Food was above average and reasonably priced. Didnt drink but the adult capri sun pouches looked interesting. Worth checking out.

This is a family-friendly/ adult place. Its kind of like Chuck-E-Cheese but with better alcohol and video games. You can you loved brother or sister, who ever you decide to bring can sit down and enjoy a nice beverage while the kid go and play game. You dont need tokens for the board games or consoles that they have all around.
