The Harambe Village is a neat place in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. First you ride a unique and old fashioned train to this hide away area fascinating to both children and adults. The first attraction is the petting zoo, where hygiene is the top priority. Then you go into the conservation station where you learn about all kinds of interesting little creatures. We enjoy the animation experience most. You follow detailed and visual step by step instructions from an animation expert to draw a Disney cartoon character. I always admit to my inability to draw anything, but look, I did this attached image of Scar in less than 30 minutes. This is definitely the highlight of my visit today.
Gone to Disney several times. This was our first time going back to the Conservation Station. Its a quiet, calmer area to hangout and see animals. If you are having a busy week where the family is tired, this is a nice change of pace. Make sure to block off enough time, however, because it does take some time to get there and back. But it is worth the trip if you have the time.
Such a cool place to escape the craziness of Animal Kingdom. Its like youre leaving the park entirely and going somewhere completely different. This area has a place called affection section where you can pet goats, and admire some other animals. They also have a spot where you can learn how to draw characters from Disney artists. They also have a walk through where you can see the lab where some of these animals are cared for.
Our kids really enjoyed this exhibit. Theres a petting zoo, exotic insects, and a class that teaches you how to draw Disney animal characters based on inspiration from actual animals. We drew Simba. Theres a lot of additional education out here as well.
They have a great drawing class here! We miss that class from its days at Hollywood studios. Hoping it gets a permanent space!
Went just for the Animation Experience. Had a great time drawing Zazu! They are doing great at managing the guests in this very hands on experience.
The research they are doing at Disney will help protect many animals and help keep them from becoming extinct.
Half closed due to covid-19. You cant go into the petting zoo and they dont have some of the exhibits open. Worst part is the train ride, they have everyone so spread out it took us 45 minutes to get back on the train to return to the main part of animal kingdom. The train only runs once every 10 minutes and when theyre using 10% of capacity it means you got to wait for a lot of rounds of the train before you get on. It started pouring rain and we were just left standing in line in the rain for 45 min getting wet with nowhere to go because they only let a handful of people under the covered awning so we all had to stand there and got soaked because they didnt want us to be too close to each other...
Loved to see the medical side and the animation side. Great displays!
Its in disney and you get to learn about the animals plus classes to learn how to draw.
Had a great time learning about the background of the goats. Really enjoyed drawing Dumbo
First time here. Good information!
Great knowledge base for children and adults
Disney gets an A+ for safe distancing while keeping the magic alive!
Drawing lessons and the view into the veterinary center is amazing.
Disappointing. The train ride is short. About 2 minutes to Conservation Station and very little to see, along the way. Boring! The station itself is also pretty underwhelming. I feel Disney could do so much more with this area. Perhaps more interactive shows, local animals and conservation methods regarding them, expand and improve upon the diversity of native and exotic plants in a nature walk, a larger variety of animals for the petting zoo, maybe a movie theater showcasing the need for conservation and the efforts being made, displays explaining animals and plants extinct or endangered, maybe a ride or two, and just more. Is this just a check in the box or a tax write-off? Honestly, it is such a waste of time and space.
So amazing
