Although people do seem to be keeping appropriate distances, the park was a little bit crowded. Some areas are good place for kids to play in the water. There are several different access areas along the water front, some with beaches and some with concrete break walls. The park in itself is well-kept and clean. The restrooms are open. No one has seen real sun here for a couple of months, so it’s probably a little more busy today than it would usually be.Amenities:Covered area with built in bbqPlaygroundIce cream truck (although it’s playing the same Christmas song over and over)RestroomsSeveral parking areas
We went there 2 weeks ago & it looked very beautiful with the sunset!! There were people having their own fun with music, barbeque, bubbles, relaxing, swimming & there was a lot of social distancing. Its huge so you can easily maintain gaps. We just stolled around with our kids & put feet in the waters & just relax. It was so calming & has really nice shades of trees around.
This park is a hiden gem! Its a wonderful place to spend the day with your family, especially if you have little kids. Its nice and cool because its near the water, but there are also plenty of trees for shade and to help keep you cool. There is a small beach, huge lawn for little ones to run around, as well as quite a few barbecues for the adults enjoyment All and all a great family park for everyone to enjoy.
This was my first time going there I really enjoyed it. It was clean. And it had a lot of space. Based on the parking lot I thought it was going to be jam packed... but it wasnt it. The view was crazy beautiful and the sunset made the night even better.
A very nice beach bark. Theres a break off between the lawn and the lake, but if you dont like the usual gravelly approach on the other beaches, thatll work perfectly for you. There are plenty of picnic tables and even a covered area, but Id recommend bringing you own stuff. An awesome picnic spot in general. Would highly recommend on a good weather day.
A great place to watch the sun set over some water! Very family friendly place to hang out. A downside to this park would be the limited parking.
Its a great location, very quite and less crowded . So its perfect to go if you are looking for a park that is less crowded during these pandemic times.there are some BBQ stands and tables, mostly people arent using it now . The sand beach is limited so kids cant play in water much. But grass area is huge and lots of area to run around. Some park parking available but limited, there is street parking . It can be challenging!
Great place to.visit on a sunny day! Has two parking lots, a large grassy area, picnic shelter, and is right on Lake Washington. Will definitely be back!
Nice lawn type park by the water. It gets pretty crowded in the summers and parking is limited. They started ticketing for parking on the street so make sure you find a legal place to park (even if you see cars stationed on the road). I run to this park periodically and my biggest complaint is that there are no sidewalks or shoulders.
Nice gem in Kirkland, just north of Juanita. Benches and water access on an expansive lawn, definitely worth coming to!
So its a pretty nice beach/lake/waterfront area, but often times over the summer there are a lot of people here. Other than having a lot of people to watch out for it is a very nice place to bring children and/or dogs for a lovely little day trip.
This is great out of the way park on the lake. All the benches and tables are widely spaced, as if the landscape architect was prescient.
This park has beautiful scenery! Great view of Mount Rainer. The beach spots were small, but they have a areas you can access water by the grass you just have to jump in. The playground area was nice and shaded and kept my 3 year old busy.
Nice shaded Park along Holmes Point Drive with excellent view of Lake Washington. good place to have a picnic, covered area with BBQ, lots of benches and picnic tables here, playground for kids, lots of room to roam around and good place to walk your dogs. Theres parking in the park and directly across the street.
Beautiful waterfront park. Nice place to take a walk or have a BBQ. They have gazebos for shade and little bridges crossing over creeks. Grassy areas, not much for sand. Parking can be limited during peak times. Well maintained, trash being emptied throughout the day, on a busy Saturday afternoon. Great spot for families, highly recommended.
Great area for picnicking, the open grass area and tables allow for easy set up. Theres even a covered spot! Swimming for kids and dogs so long as they stay near the wall, otherwise it gets deep fast. Its also a great place to push off paddleboards and kayaks (:
This is the most amazing place right on lake. My grandon and I visit at least once a week.
This place is like magical. During weekdays is not really busy so you can feel how calm, quiet and relaxing a really nice park can be. Is really gorgeous and also perfect for a picnic or a barbecue. It is also my favorite spot for shooting video with my drone
My kids enjoyed playing in the water. Bathrooms were clean. Not crowded when we visited.
Nice park with facilities nice areas for picnic and grilling awesome for kids.Just make sure to clean after yourself as people often forget.
Nice grassy area to sit on. Be careful of the water. Can get rough sometimes and it drops off quick.
Nice little slice of hidden Park. Can get quite busy but a good place to launch off for a little lake float.
My favorite lakefront park!! What a beautiful lake park! My friend brought me to this gorgeous place and it has become our go-to park! The lake is crystal clear and not as cold as the ocean, my girls enjoy being on the floaties and just chill in the water! The view is spectacular, truly a sight for sore eyes! The bathroom is close by, there is also a park for the kids! Get to this park EARLY, because it gets PACKED!!! And take a beach umbrella because the sun is directly above and will burn you like a piece of bacon! There are shaded areas but the best spots have no shade. Highly recommend this park!
The park has 3 parking areas. One of which is next to the water so you can walk your kayak or paddle boards down. We spent the day kayaking 10 miles between parks, stopping in-between to have lunch on shore. Highly recommend!
A swim beach, but no floating dock. Shallow, dirty water now. Lots of unmasked people with dogs. Pretty view and nice shady barbecue area. I used to swim there every summer, but would not now. Limited parking on weekends, but plenty early morning.
I love bringing my dogs to this park! Large park on the lake with wooded areas, playground, picnic shelter, bbqs, and beach access. People here are always so friendly too!
Beautiful park, Friendly people, No need to worry about algae blooms not alot of fowl.
Company picnic at Park. Great venue, beautiful views of Lake Washington. Highly recommended for a lazy summer afternoon.
Love this park, not too crowded. I always had very peaceful and relaxing experience.
Love this beach area. Plenty of room to distance. Perfect put in for the SUP.
Lovely park with access to Lake Washington and views of Mt Ranier in clear days. There are some trails behind the park you can explore. Dog & child friendly.
Excellent park. You can get into lake Washington. Lots of picnic benches/ play structure for kids
Has great trails, nice little park where you can relax.
Beautiful place . You can watch sunset . Easily accessible
Beautiful hiking trails surround the park, leading into St. Edwards state park. Sylvia (Washingtons) largest trees is here.
Peaceful, great views, lovely trees. Nice place to walk around at sunset.
Goto pivnic place that has access to water. Inflable kayaks are easy to launch here. Restrooms are ok. Picnic benches can get packed when weather is good. There is a picnic shed with water tap near to it. Children play park. Extra parking space is also available but can get pretty packed when crowded.
Great waterfront park with nice hiking trails and good water access.
One of many beautiful waterfront parks in Kirkland!!
Mt Rainier and Lake washington gorgeous views
Dont want to share this park! Its awesome. I take the dog here off leash on off hours, and she loves chasing sticks there. Lately too many people who just want to drink or smoke come here and leave their trash... part of my walks here are spent wrangling trash to the cans.
The kids love to go here, always plenty of space for them to play and run.
Beautiful local park provides mt Rainier view during sunny days. Photographers like this spot (saw several at once). Good playground for kids, several picnic tables, grill. Winter season - muddy, wet soil. Resume: decent park with incredible view.
The view is great although the water is just so so cold and I came during summer.
My favorite park in Kirkland, beautiful, clean and can do outdoor bbq.
Well maintained, ducks and geese are friendly, and the park is relatively large
Denny park is so peaceful. I love bringing my dogs here
A good time for shore.
I love walking down there to read or barbecue by the beach.
Beautiful park. Great for a picnic or afternoon with friends or family. Good hiking trails as well.
Huge beautiful park with water front. Washington lake
Nice quite beach to have snack with a family and let kids play with water. Parking can be a trouble though!
Excellent place for kids!
Nice little park on the water. Great views. Plenty of space for larger groups.
We go there all the time
Very beautiful serene place ! Peaceful and less crowded as compared to other parks in Seattle! Clean water ! Good place to spend a whole sunny day barbecuing and enjoying with family !
Surreal experience to be on the water and then turning left to see Mt. Rainier looming majestically in the background.!
Very fun with both the play structure and the water so close!
Really beautiful. Tucked in a forest, this is a great little getaway. Simple nice hikes, not too much mud in the summer. If you are at all unsteady, just take a walking stick. Listen for the birds. Enjoy the expanse of Lake Washington. The views are soothing and sunsets to die for
Nice place to spend time.
Small and quiet. A little off the beaten trail, but a nice park for feeding birds or just chilling out to watch the waves.
Beautiful day.
This is was first time Id been to the park for something other than the christmas carol boat tour thing that happens... around christmas. Its really a nice park with plenty of benches, some tables, and a reasonable amount of shade. Obviously the view is fantastic and on a nice day theres a lot of water access.
Nice place, but too many people.
Great afternoon sun!! ️
Very lively on Summer weekends
We did a Popupstorywalk on the trails and it was so beautiful! I will definitely be back!
For being packed, it still had a cool view
Good place for kayak lover.
Beautiful walking trails...easy to medium, not flat. The park across the street on the lake has all amenities. Great for picnics, parties, dog walking ( on leash please)...
Vary beautiful trail, there is an enormous tree thats over 6 hundred years old. I will continue to revisit.
This park is great! Plenty of space, theres a restroom, plenty of parking, you can play in the water, bring your kayak, picnics, outdoor games, theres a trail, lots of fun! One of the parking lots is across the street and that street Ive noticed the cars drive fast, so keep your eyes on the road!
The grounds and parking are great. Well kept and for my first time there, though it was VERY busy, people were polite and generally pleasant. However...I went in to use the mens restroom. There are no doors on the stalls. It wasnt even made with doors, and then taken off -- the urinal is separated from the toilet by a brick wall, and theres no evidence of it ever intended on having doors.Step back from the urinal three feet, step two feet to your left, and youre now watching your neighbor relieve himself.Walk in the door and stand all the way to the left wall, youre now watching two people relieve themselves. This is unacceptable. Regardless of grounds and atmosphere, I have no idea who thought this was a good idea and I wont be returning.
In short, great if youre in the water because the land is too crowded on nice days.Used to be a great park. But Kirkland has put too much effort into popularizing it. Now it gets crowded as all hell on nice weekends and they just added more legal parking since no one ever got ticketed for the no parking zones.
Lovely little lakeside park! There are plenty of barbecuing spots, a playground, picnic tables, and good spots to throw down a picnic blanket. It isnt a huge park - you can probably walk across the whole thing in 10 or 15 minutes. There are some little bridges going over creeks, and some public restrooms. There are two parking lots you can use, as well as some roadside parking on the northern end of the park.
Very beautiful. Peaceful and friendly
Best neighborhood park
Good park cleaned regularly
It was great, we got 20 portal keys for footsteps through time, on ingress.
I love this park. Its in a nice (really nice) neighborhood and always well maintained. Its not a sandy beach for swimming buts great for a picnic or just taking in the view. The parking lots are always full even on the off days so be prepared for that.
Great little park.
Great open park with multiple covered areas. Easily able to pick a place to lounge or launch a boat. Pretty hard to find a parking spot, but when you do its a great place to visit
Very beautiful sunset
Small gem of a place, little playground, room to run around, picnic tables, great view of the water, perfect for a breath of fresh air and skipping rocks
Nice bank of Washington lake
My go to place for a picnic north Seattle..
Beautiful park; we had an excellent evening at the park, despite the rain and the wind.
Beautiful park with gorgeous scenery to the Mt. Reinier.
Very nice park along the eastern shore of Lake Washington. Great for relaxing, launching small boats from or having a picnic.
Beautiful lakeside park. Dont forget to make the trek to see Sylvia; largest tree in King County.
Quiet neighborhood park.
Decent park. Busy during the summer tho
I like very much this park
