2 boardwalks over wetlands and jutting into Lake Washington. Wildlife views of turtles, gadwells, great blue heron, kingfisher, and the occasional rare siting. Park workers keeping invasives out to best of their ability. Beautiful place to observe nature without getting mud on your shoes or negatively impacting habitat.
Two bald eagles and loads of ducks and coots in a beautiful lakeside setting.
Good park with raised trails into marshy on parts of Juanita bay, good to see some wildlife: ducks, turtles, herons. And supposedly beaver, but Ive never seen one.
It continues to be a perfect calm nature spot in the heat of our metropolitan area. We loved the ducks, the turtles all living together in harmony along the lily pads.
Juanita Bay Park is an absolutely amazing park!!! Juanita Bay Park is big, wide open and one of my favorite places to come and walk. There are benches located in various locations throughout the park, so you can sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful views. Defiantly a great place to bring the family or a loved one and have a picnic on a warm sunny day. Also a great place to bring your dog to play and walk.On my last visit here I brought my camera to take some scenic pics. I ventured out to the wooden pathways, which lead out to Lake Washington, and I never knew there were so many turtles in the Lake. There were probably close to 100 of them sitting on logs soaking up some sun. It was a great sight to see. If you really like to bird watch, this is a great place to come. Out on the pathways near the lake you can see all sorts of birds and ducks. If you are lucky, you might even see some Bald Eagles or Ospreys. The main parking lot is pretty small and fills rather quickly on nice days. I do believe there is another parking lot across the street near the fire station, but Im not to sure how big it is.
Always a great place to come. I walk my dog here a couple times a week and I always am I awe of the beauty of this place. You can always see ducks and other wildlife in the water or in the bushes/trees.
A great place to live! Awesome sunsets!
Nice park on Lake Washington, large pier that extends into water for walking, large swimming dock area
Saw turtles here and i gotta say, thats pretty dang neat.
I love this park. Its the perfect place for birdwatching. When I visit, theres usually 5-15 types of birds to spot and when its warm you can sort dozens of turtles. Perfect place for a leisurely stroll, to have a picnic, and enjoy the beautiful views and relax in nature.
We were surprised by all the greenery and open space here. We explored the boardwalks and docks. It was a nice walk in nature and it was easy enough for my 2 years old to do all on his own. We were so surprised by all the turtles!! We also noticed tons of bird watchers/photographers with their large, fancy cameras so I’m guessing it’s a good place for that too!
Nice place to walk, just a lot of mosquitoes the time we went not allowing us to enjoy it to the fullest.
Great views and areas for photos.
Its a beautiful park. Its hard to believe that in the middle of a concrete jungle that a wetland like this exists.
Beautiful park for a leisurely stroll or a picknick
Supe nice park. The boardwalks are always super fun
Juanita Bay Park was such a beautiful experience. I visited with my son in springtime 2017 - the sun was out and the day was warm. Flowers were popping out and all the birds were on full display. I highly recommend this natural area for a nice stroll or natural photography.
I love this park. I love those cute little turtles. You can see wild life in the city
Great place for nature watching. Also good for an engagement shoot. Loved it.
The Wood Ducks were all over the park today
I can enjoy seeing some of the natures amazing beauty here without going too far.
Beautiful rolling hills. Picnic tables and decent bathrooms that are clean and bright. Its kind of a funny park in that it sits on the water but really has no water views because of all the wonderful trees. Theres also a family of bald eagles that routinely fly through screeching at one another! Very cool to see!
It has a few great views on sunny afternoons but it is a pretty small park that manages to feel crowded with a surprisingly small number of people. If you just want a nice place to take a winter walk, this is a possibility. If you want a moment of immersion into nature such that you can forget the world, this is probably not the place.
Great park and a fun walk for my mom and I to see the wildlife!
Simply beautiful and a great spot for wildlife photography, would recommend
Beautiful, quiet wetland area and great view of Lake Washington.!
Juanita Bay Park has some nice boardwalks that you can walk out onto and get a good look at the aquatic wildlife. There are many ducks but also bald eagles that utilize the lake. I also saw hummingbirds
Trails and saw an eagle. Girl tried to kiss me here 12 years ago. Should have accepted it.
I love this park! I have brought my grandchildren and my parents, a beautiful walk for all ages. And the turtles, eagles, osprey, mallards, blue heron...oh my!
The park it’s so quiet and no crowded. It’s just some steps away from Juanita Beach
There are currently 2 bald eagles living in the area I have seen them almost every day for the past 2 months
Beautiful park with nature walkways. Blue Herons, Eagles and Red Slider turtles often seen, as well as seasonal White Swans.
We call this the turtle park. On a warm day when you walk out on the docks, turtles are basking on logs amongst the cat tails
Awesome park, carp, turtles, trails, birdies, a one of the few nature areas not leveled by high density houseing
Peaceful walk amongst turtles.
This is a beautiful park with lots of trails and fun places to visit
So much beautiful nature to see here!
First time here. Wonderful park, so much wildlife.
Having lived in the area for a few decades I have failed to visit this park before. Perhaps being a bit wiser I better appreciate this park? The walking paths are great and the closeness to the lake is an added benefit. I would recommend this park for those who want to stroll and talk or sit and ponder.
The park is nice for a good stroll
Always so much wildlife action. Never a dull moment. Today an eagle attempted to raid a nest and ruffled everyones feathers. All the different species of birds were sounding the alarm. Also a lot of turtles out.
Great walking paths, would be a fun place for a picnic. Easy trails, lots of diversity in scenery, open park fields, thick tree paths and marshland vibes on the decks. Lots of birds and ducks.
Lovely walk
Love this park. Well maintained with a lot of fun water creatures for the kids to watch
FANTASTIC place to do family photos! Contact Arriella Noelle if you want them done right. (Note: these are pictures I took at the photo session, not Arrielles,)
Nice place to take the kids to see ducks and turtles.
Nice park, turtles nesting area at the time. Walkway above marsh is nice and it had good views of the water! Public bathrooms available.
Really nice place. The boardwalk over the water was sweet. Also saw a Blue Heron which was very cool.
Very convenient place for quick bird watching trip. One of the best places in city for watching shorebirds, eagles and ospreys. Nice trails and easy access.
Really pretty and calming. It was very quiet despite all of the children. Lots of turtles (see pic)
One of my favorite places to go and take your pets for a good walk with no risk.
A Beach Park in North Lake Washington with beautiful views and local Wildlife to watch.
Great little park with walkways down to the water. Perfect place for some birding or just to see the turtles.
Great for a walk to enjoy views of the lake
Beautiful park. Just watch out for misquote there.
I go here regularly with several of my dogs and they love it. I enjoy the wildlife we encounter, and people are generally friendly.
Great spot for finding wildlife
One of my favorite!
We were able to finally get out and take some photos before our first baby is born. Great park with some hills but is handicap accessible. Beautiful nature walk through swampy area that has lots of mosquitoes but worth it for the beautiful pictures.
Ive only been here once, at night. It is beautiful. I definitely want to stop by in the daytime.I was so surprised to see stars here. As a city dweller, its been so long since Ive seen stars due to all of the light pollution.
Big park, nice walks. Beautiful boardwalks
Quiet and peaceful spot to relax and enjoy nature. Blink and you will miss it. A nice surprise
A very nice park! With room for everyone from all ages. My wife, my son and I love to come here and take a nice walk or let our son play around.
Always a scenic delight
Beautiful view of a nice pond and swamp land, lots of wild life. Great place for long walks for people and puppers.
ITS A REALLY KOOL SPOT, BUT THE TIMBERS ARE ROTING AND THEREFOR SHOULD BE REPLACED!!!
Absolutely gorgeous park and small beach area to pic nic, spend with a family, kayak rental, volley ball court and bridge walk. And I also enjoy juanita farmer market in the summer every friday.
Pretty nice
It is so beautiful. Park full of beautiful trees and awesome wetland. If you want to watch birds, you can and they are really uncommon and beautiful. If you prefer tortoises, you can count and count.. A lot of tortoises in water or catching the sun on fallen trees in water. I recommend to everybody who loves nature.
As always nice walk, eagles, ducks, red wing blackbird and turtles
This area has a nice balance between open park space and trails. There are plenty of opportunities to see the local wildlife. First time Ive seen a wild otter!
Excellent elevated walkway above the lakeshore marsh.
A stroll through the park here never disappoints. Unless it rains. Then it disappoints.
This park is one of my favorite places to get a walk in. Beautiful scenery by Lake Washington, lots of short-ish walking trails ending with observation platforms over the marsh, and best of all: tons of poke-stops and gyms. If youre in to Pokemon Go, youll love this place. If youre visiting, consider also stopping by Juanita Beach Park a few blocks away. It tends to be more crowded, but has a neat walkway over the water.
Lively park. Children and adults can enjoy equally. Swimming not allowed sometimes because of high bacteria content.
Loved this park!! Grassy area with paved trails, then several boardwalks into the marshy areas. SO many birds and a few turtles too! Lovely. Parking area & restroom available. Interesting facts posted around the park.
Good to walking around the place
Very nice park, dogs allowed if on leash.
Awesome hidden jewel in the city. It has got something for everyone. Beach, beach volleyball, a park, beautiful boardwalk into the sea. One of my favorite hangout place.
Fun place to see wildlife at the lake via wood boardwalks. Google Green Kirkland if you like to volunteer.
Obsessed with this beautiful park! Great playground and space to be outside in nature!
One of the last great, free parks in King county. Located on the North end of lake Washington in Kirkland.
Pleasent in some locations, such as the marsh area that has a long bridge, the beach however is pretty unsanitary. During the summers there have been frequent geese problems.
Nice and cool place in summers when its too hot. Lots of trees and shade for kids to go biking and have fun
This park is good for all ages. Theres walking pads, a bike path and the wetlands, and theres plenty of benches for those who just need to take a break.Amazing for bird watching and also the turtles are really fun to watch.
Experienced and incredibly gorgeous sunset at this park. Nice pathway out on like a boardwalk. In a very cute neighborhood with cute eateries
Love it here and love the nature. Ducks and turtles and birds and plants. Great little walk
Nice park to walk but not so many trails
Lovely walking trails across wetlands on the edge of Lake Washington. Consistent views of turtles, ducks, often bald eagles.
Beautiful setting and theres quite a bit of wildlife to see
Great place for walking, jogging, and for dogs.
Few parking spots on most days but is beautiful and worth the visit. Clean. Great for photos and kids
Doesnt look like a bae to me
