Wailea Ekahi Village Destination Residences Hawaii

This place is phenomenal! Theyve thought of every little nuance! I only visited, but fell in love with the place! Even the kitchen window VIEW to the parking lot was bona fide beautifully landscaped! 5 star beauty, 5 star price! Mr friends got this lower-level wonderment for FREE for 2 weeks!! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Awesome place to stay. The numbering of buildings/finding your way around is a little tricky at first but makes sense once you get your bearings. The main pool is nice, but I especially liked the multiple quiet pools and large shared green space where folks sat out to watch the sun set each night.

Great property that was a great value for price, location, and space. Our rental apartment was a little dated but well-maintained. The pool is located adjacent to the gorgeous beach, so you can ping-pong between. There is a clubhouse that provides some kitchen-like necessities and bathrooms. The property itself clearly takes pride in cultivating and showcasing beautiful colorful pants that abound. The only word of caution would be to know which unit you will rent because some can be a hike (uphill and a fair distance) from the must-use beach and pool. Overall, I highly recommend the property. Hope you like it too!

I love the location, the staff are just so wonderful (and very friendly), the amazing landscape...wow! Just love it. There is currently renos happening down by the main pool. They have 3 smaller pools and 1 larger pool near the ocean. But the renos were not heard at our unit (40D). The workers didnt work past sunset, and not on the weekends, so that was nice for both parties. The Ekahi Village also has loads of fruit trees (oranges, avocados, etc.), for guests to pick off of. There is even coconuts in the back of some farther away units. Lots of lush greenery, flowers and cheerful birds. I cant wait to go back again. I hope to see a whale or 2, or more, next time I am there.

Great spot to stay for a family holiday. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils and any other supplies you may need (even a bread maker!) which made eating in very easy. Our unit was very well kept, clean, and comfortable. 5 minute walk through the village to get to the main pool and beach. The garden was absolutely beautiful as were the nightly sunsets. Highly recommend.

These condos are great. They are near the beach which makes it worth staying at. The condo we stayed in was fine but it is a bit dated. The pools need some work and only one of them off heated. The pool that was near us had a lack of lounge chairs do of you didnt get there early you could not get one. As Id said, the beach access makes up for the small other issues.

This apartment was spacious, clean and had EVERYTHING from well equipped kitchen with everything you can want (and more), to even free snorkeling equipment and beach chairs! Very thoughtful. The place itself was quiet and lovely but with not much to do. I wish the map / directions were a little better. There were supposed to be 4 pools on the property but we were only able to find one small pool. Overall I highly recommend this place.

Awesome place to stay. Great condos. 4 swimming pools. The grounds are kept in meticulous order. Access to the beach without driving.

Didnt know exactly what to expect and was really happy with the room. It was a lot larger than expected and had everything you need for a long stay. Would of given 5 starts but the large pool was not really usable due to construction on the property. The pool was great but the construction was extremely loud as they were breaking and removing concrete.

Destination residences did not handle this well. The unit we had was close to the street. My older mother was uncomfortable. They could not move Us to another residence. And they charged us one night penalty when we left early. This is not hospitality and was very disappointing. Expedia really did their best to try and handle the situation but could not control how private residences are handled versus hotels. Destiination residences is owned by Hyatt and should’ve been able to work this out

It was our Honeymoon and totally Paradise. The flowers, people, clear blue water and the laid-back lifestyle was magical. We also went to a Hawaiian Luau.... fabulous

This was really great! Beautiful and cozy condos that are very clean and have individual A/C units and plenty of amenities. The housekeeping service was great, and depending where your condo is, its an easy short walk down to the beach. Theres 2 pools, one a little more private further from the beach and one right behind the beach, that are both gated. Theres a nice grass field to play around in and a good amount of parking for each tenant. If youre looking to stay somewhere close to the airport and at the center of Maui, I highly recommend staying here. Mahalo!

Very private location with lush landscaping and a peak-a-boo view of the ocean. Very comfortable and spacious. Would stay there again.

Everything from the outside property and inside the rooms was beautiful and well kept. My only complaint is that the air conditioning unit kept turning on and off to keep the room at a certain temperature and it was very loud. We slept with it off and the doors open every night

Was visiting friends in one of the units and received two notices that my license plate and car description was noted and the car would be towed yet there was no indication anywhere telling us where guests are supposed to park. Obviously someone sits and stares out there window and loves leaving the notices yet they wont come out and tell you the correct place to park nor is there signage and/or marked spaces.

Nice beach with great sand and beautiful waters. As with most beaches in Hawaii the current is very strong.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ease of getting to Wailea Ekahi Village, the quietness of the Village and the spacious condo. You can tell it is well maintained. The only thing I would consider, is changing out the carpet on the stairs or having it cleaned.

Quiet, clean, and conveniently located. The check-in desk was off property, surprisingly behind our first meal of our trip at Monkeypod Kitchen in Kihei.Housekeeping staff was friendly and respectful, and the pools were well maintained. Definitely will stay here again when we return to Maui.

Nice condo complex with some ocean views on Keawakapu Beach with 4 pools but no hot tub. Beautiful stretch of beach. Individual condos vary according to owners. Grounds are beautiful although clubhouse area is currently under construction (Jan 2020)

We had a great family time staying in our unit. its a bit outdated but very comfortable, room enough for 4 adults and small baby. Location is great, close to pool, short walk to beach, which we did very morning and evening for sunset. Parking is easy too.

The interior of our condo was clean and up to date with a full kitchen including utensils. The exterior was very nicely maintained with a variety of flowers, trees and plants that you might expect in Hawaii. Very quiet and peaceful. Overall no complaints. Very pleased with the property and easy beach access along with multiple pools.

The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained. It is quiet and lovely! We spent a lot of time at the pool with our son, and we loved being able to access the beach right outside the pool area.

It used to be a great peaceful place to relax. No longer. Rules not enforced. Kids running around unsupervised screaming in the quiet pools. If you want a quiet relaxing time in Hawaii find another place to stay.

The property was well appointed. The service was good. While the AC did not work properly the first night the problem was fixed immediately as soon as it was reported.For a high priced destination the resort does not offer amenities similar to other resorts. It seems like the units on the West side are an afterthought as there are no direct pathways to the beach or the heated pool.The pool closest to the unit is not heated which in the winter made it too cold.The beach is nice. It is about a ten minute walk but it is beautiful.Certainly a nice place but I found it a poor value.

It’s an amazing place! Room is very spacious and beautiful with all you need for your vacation, from kitchen appliances to beach chair, cooler, we had a wonderful experience during our stay! Landscape is beautiful too, direct access to beach, will absolutely stay here again next time!

Quiet secluded beaches. Spacious accommodation. Dead quiet at night. Great pools, however at least one of the pools should be shallow enough for young kids. Its hard to manage young kids in 9 feet deep water. Would have liked darker curtains as sun bursts in early in the morning.

Always enjoy our time here. Staff are smiling and the grounds and pools are great. Beach is beautiful and good for snorkeling and body surfing.

Beautiful place to stay. We visited 3 pools on the property and all are well maintained. We ended up having the entire pool area to ourselves most days. Grounds are well maintained also. The beach in front of the property is gorgeous and theres plenty of space to set up your own little area with no one nearby. The condo we stayed at was nicely decorated and had everything we may need, including beach equipment.

Destination Residences is an awesome place to stay if you want a local experience. Customs service is to notch and they catered to or every need.

Nice location. Pools too small and crowded. The nearby boat ramp is home to.many low life locals blasting ghetto music destroying a quiet ambience.

Wonderful vacation at the Ekahi Village! the check in staff were so courteous and friendly, giving tips on outings and restaurants, the unit is cleaned and daily cleaning service was incredible!!!

Love this place! Its away from the big resorts and feels more private. The grounds are beautifully maintained and our room was nice. The full kitchen is a nice bonus too. The view from our room was a garden view but was still an amazing view. I would recommend this place over the big resorts to anyone.

Loving Ekahi Village so far. Were in one of the further back units and its still only 10 minutes from the beach. Our unit is clean and has nice finishings. What bad things can you say about Wailea? Its amazing here. Stop whatever you are doing, consider how short life is and book a trip to Hawaii now you dummy. 10/10, host me in paradise again.

A large complex of well maintained condos near the beach with several pools (1or2 heated) but no hot tub...anywhere. very nice landscaping, polite and helpful staff, and our 1 bedroom condo was huge with a great view of the ocean (a few blocks from) and sunsets... Views vary. Nothing is cheap here, but its a good value and Id recommend it.

Wonderful location, its very close to the beach and within 10 min walk from Shops at Wailea. The garden on the property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff are friendly; The room was OK: furnishings are a little dated, but everything is clean. If you have windows open you may hear some traffic noise (unit 52). Thank you!

The exotic Hawaiian plants...the friendly people on the beaches...this place is beautiful a must see

The proximity to the beach was amazing but there wasnt much else there. No pool entertainment or anything to do there in the grounds.

We’ve stayed here twice now and each time it has been amazing! A gem of a location in paradise attached to one of the best beaches on Maui! Highly recommend.

This is a great condo complex. The location is perfect and you dont need to cross a road in order to get to the beach.

This place is full of Life.. beautiful flower gardens and lot of greenery the furnished suit room is fantastic right beside the beach with ocean view.. Me and my husband loved our stay here. I definitely recommend this place!!

Excellent condo with a lot of natural flora and fauna. A concrete path to the south provides for a good jogging or walking path. Rocky outcrops provide for good snorkeling where tropical fish and sea turtles like to gather.

Pribably the most beautiful spot on the island, close enough to the beach for walking, and privacy from the roads. Adult and family pools, with friendly cleaners and staff.

We were very comfortable and the little touches of the owners personality shined through. Our only problem was trying to maintain the air temperature between the trades that didnt blow the first two nights and the fan. The beach in front is one of the nicest in the world I think. The unit was nicely furnished and I would recommend it to anyone.

Nicely maintained residential units. I had the opportunity to rent a unit for a weeks worth of vacation. Would definitely come back here if I were to return to Maui.

We loved the view and decor, and there was lots of space for 4 people.

Best place to stay and not feel like you live in a hotel room but still have the service as if you are. Close to several great beaches and great food, what else do you need?

Loved our 2 bedroom condo. I wish there was a hot tub at the main pool and activities for the kids but other than that,we loved it. Great for families. Our 2 kids had a blast.

The village is very nice, but not luxury. It has various swimming pools, even if simple and not long enough for swimming. Very convenient access to the beach and to the nearby beach path. Each house is different, so review depends on the specific one. 24D is a nice one: a bit far from the beach, but very nice inside.

The landscaping is incredible. There are many tropical flowers, fruit and citrus trees of all varieties and an incredible number of lizards, geckos and birds. Access to the beach is easy which has great snorkeling when the waves and winds cooperate (usually in the mornings). Sunsets over the ocean are fantastic. A great alternative to the mega-resorts just down the beach.

Love the complex, beautiful, lovely layout. Convenient to beach, and snorkeling at our favorite Ulua Beach. Unit 44C is nicely laid out, but suffers from road noise.

Stayed at 51E. Very nice large updated unit. If you use the hideabed sleeps 4 comfortably.

Great location on the beach! Love that there are pools throughout and lots of flowers and fruit trees on the property. Every unit has a great view of the ocean and a great outdoor space. Would return again

Excellent condos. Close small pools and of course the large pool at Pavillion. Adequate parking, studios to 2 or 3 bedroom units. Location wailea, and the high end golf, tennis restaurants and shops. If you go to Ruths Chris in Wailea ask for Steve or David as your server. Both are outstanding and very professional. They have waited on us for years

Nice and relaxing

Wonderful family friendly complex, not overpopulated, actually you dont see many people, except at the beach pool and on the beach. And even there, scarcely more than 10-12 parents with kids.

The Location was beautiful, beach side and not too far from any stores for good and any other necessities, there are a ton of spots to check out in a driving distance of 30 minutes or more, the rooms were well lit and very aesthetically pleasing.. I was surprised that they offered all the kitchen appliances and tools to use for the kitchen! Overall an extremely pleasant stay.

Beautiful grounds, well-kept vacation condo for incredibly reasonable price. Beautiful swimming pools, beautiful views, and a great covered party area by the pool, with refrigerators, ovens, microwaves and plenty of countertop space.

All about the location. I stayed with a friend here and the unit itself needed lots of work, but as they are private units each one can be different. However the facility itself was beautiful, the pool were well kept and we loved the BBQ pit area. Access to the beach was easy and the beach outfront is fantastic. Great snorkeling, time was the morning. Most water activities in Maui are best in the morning hours. You could easily walk to drinks and food both directions.

Ekahi Village is a home away from home. All of the conveniences, on an ocean backdrop. It was a perfect spot to stay while in Maui.
