Super location, comfort, conveniences and amenities. My 2 week stay here was perfect. I had a main floor unit facing the beach. All units have a full or partial view of the ocean. Everything was provided from laundry detergent to beach towels to coffee filters. If you have to quarantine you have all you need on arrival but food. You can sit out on the lanai or balcony and enjoy a truly beautiful scene - sunrise, sunset, ocean, paddlers, whales soon. Great AC when needed.Excellent COVID precautions. Staff friendly. The pool area, hot tub and BBQ area were perfect and maintained meticulously. The beach is one of the best with a sandy bottom that stays shallow a longer distance than other beaches and warmer water than some. Long sandy beach for walks.The units differ somewhat in furnishings but not layout I believe. My 2 kids were in two other units that had some different amenities, decor and newness. All three units were super nice, and the long term rental price a real bargain.If you know Maui, the Kihei area especially N Kihei where Sugar Beach is, is ideally situated to get to all the major areas of the island.

This is the perfect place to stay on Maui! Its nice and quiet with quick access to an amazing beach that goes for miles! Theres also a hot tub and pool to use and a few outdoor grills. If you want to just sit and catch some sun, they have several lounge chairs for use on the lawn. This place is centrally located just a 45 minute drive to Lahaina, a quick 5 minutes to Kihei tiwn center, and 30 to Kahului.

We first stayed here in 2006 and have been booking these condos each time we have returned, including the last three years bringing our kids on vacation. We love the central location in Kihei - being close to all points of the island. Staying at Maui Sugar Beach Condos allows for short drives to/from the airport. The condo units are ocean front with great views of the water, beach, West Maui Mountains, and sunsets. The units are well kept, comfortable, and provide plenty of space for four people. The grounds surrounding the complex are immaculately kept and great access out outdoor cooking. Its great to wake up in the morning and walk right out to the water and snorkel, or take a walk down down the beach and watch the sunrise over Haleakala. I think the rates are very competitive for the area and youd struggle to find an equivalent location and access to water for the price.

We have spent the last 3 Christmases at Sugar Beach and cant imagine anything better! Location, views, comfort, activities.... private beach and bbqs are a huge plus. Its quiet, relaxing and so, so beautiful.

Overall, recommended for family vacations but not romantic getaways or business trips. Great beach but not great snorkeling.Pros:-close to water/beach-beautiful views & great spot to watch the sunset-friendly office & helpful activity center (Jean & Elaine are great)Cons:-beach is great for walking but not as great for swimming or snorkeling. The water is very murky because of the churning from strong trade winds.-thin walls so lots of noise-constant motor noises from landscaping makes the grounds not very peaceful (does the lawn really need to be moved/edged for hours every day?) Its not relaxing to do yoga or read outside in the morning.-no respect for privacy - during our 14 day quarantine we had a creepy manager look through our lanai windows every day to make sure we were there. Please just knock on the front door or call to check in with us.

Great beach front condos! I love having a full kitchen and washer/dryer! Super clean, and comfy. Our condo came with two full snorkeling sets, two kiddie boogie boards, two coolers, beach towels, extra blankets, etc. There are activities reservation people on sight. Clean pool/hot tub/sauna. Outdoor shower & foot shower, elevators, close safe parking. Beautiful landscaping with staff working every day. I really cant complain..

This place is a hidden gem. On the beach, has nice pool, and bbq areas. It has your own private beach. I will definitely be back.

Well maintained property with wonderfully kept lawns and grounds. We were on 3rd floor and as far as was possible from ocean yet had a great view. Staff friendly and helpful. Sometimes you learn more when something happens. AC went down and within 6 hours was fixed. Stuff happens and was impressed with quick fix. Not a Hilton never the less for the price (in Maui) would definitely come here again.

We are on vacation in Kihei. We rented a 2 bedroom ocean front room. It is a corner unit with double length Lanai. Its fantastic, watching & listening to the ocean while having breakfast. I was disappointed when we first arrived. I had booked the room because it said it had 2 queen beds or 2 king beds. One bedroom had 2 twin beds. There were a few other things in the condo that needed fixing also. I contacted the rental company the next morning. Everything was fixed that day. Converted the twin beds into king bed, toilet was very loud, ceiling fan sounded like an airplane, safe didnt work, flashlight and TV remote needed to be fixed. Very impressed with service. I would highly recommend staying here.

Our condo was very clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable and beautiful view and access to the ocean. The pool was never crowded and was very nice. The location was perfect for all the places we went to. Great place to stay.

Was a great place to stay for a really good price! Had a nice pool and beachfront. The location is great, being in Kihei felt very central to the island and nothing was too far to check out (although we didnt make it to Hana). Id go back again!

I almost dont want to tell anyone how perfect it is here, keep the secret to myself.

Good position by the beach. Clean and comfortable. The resort is not new but it is well kept. There is an office that helps guest for reservations of activities and entertainment. I recommend it.

The location was good, centralized. The service was great! We got a condo with a great view - couldnt have asked for a better condo with a better view. The outside of the condo was in renovation so I cant say much except people need to know this before the book the condo. The kitchen in the condo is nicely upgraded. However, the bathrooms are not. We didnt mind though as the place was clean.

Our second year here. We appreciate that we are close to action if we want to go there and in a secluded enough area so we dont have as much hubbub.

BEAUTIFUL AND CONVENIENT LOCATION

We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo for a week. We had a lanai overlooking the ocean. The room was updated and well appointed. It was very comfortable and the location was perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to stay again.

Sugar Beach is a place I have been coming to for almost 30 years. The condos are great and the location on the island is ideal. Highly recommend staying here.

The condos are well maintained and include many amenities depending on the owner. From sugar beach you get great views of the volcanoes.

Great location, the beach isnt the best in Maui but still pretty good for the kids to play in. Pool is great for am afternoon dip to cool off. Our unit was well maintained and had everything we needed, staff are friendly as well as the other guests. BBQ area is a great place to catch up, plan the next adventure or meet new friends

Beautiful beach although the pool has unrealistic rules to abide by, basically no playing or having fun in the pool. It must be a community for older people and not very family friendly.
