Absolutely the best place to stay if youre going to stay in Kihei. Beautiful grounds best beach. Awesome staff.

Avoid C316!! Resort is beautiful and well maintained, how ever not all condos are created equal.C316 was not clean, dishes and cups were stuck to the cupboards.The walls were stained with what ever? Location was not good ...close to parking lot so vehicle noise heard from the bedroom night & day. Pull out bed was original 40yr. old, not sleep able. Recliner chair was broken. Washer left white clothes stained. Told to empty air conditioner tray each day, however it was wedged under a rusted old air conditioner. The two paper towel rolls they left for us were covered in grease from cooking on the stove. I only wanted to watch the news once a day but the TV needed rebooting every time which took 15 to 20 minutes. Phone did not work( battery dead) Moisture alarm went off near washing machine. A neighbor had to come over and turn it off, we had not used the washing machine!I had the opportunity to visit several units on the property as we had friends staying there. Their units were far superior even though we paid the same.I would love to come to this complex again ....but not this unit!!

We had a great stay at the Kihei Akahi Condominiums, right across the street from Kamaole Beach 2. We were assigned to condo C501, a corner studio unit. Our view of the ocean was outstanding!!! Staff at the complex was courteous and friendly. Gardeners were on site every day, tending to the beautiful flowers and specimen trees located on the grounds. Enjoy the botanical walk through the complex if you have time!Our unit had a great little kitchen, and grocery stores and restaurants are close by so you have plenty of options for enjoying local cuisine during your stay. The view of the ocean while doing dishes almost made the chore a pleasure!There are also some great snorkeling spots within a mile or so, and gear was located in the closet of the condo for our use.We would definitely recommend this condo complex, and especially the C building, to anyone wanting to enjoy a wonderful stay close to the beautiful beaches of Kihei on Maui.

The condo was very hot! The air conditioning does not work. The room was clean and had everything we needed to get by. No daily maid service but equipment to clean. In room washer and dryer. Short walk to the beach and pool which was nice

The unit has a washer & dryer which is very convenient. Its nice that it is a non smoking property although there was a man we encountered on our way to the beach that was standing in a non smoking area. Very quiet overall in Bldg. B where we stayed.

Stayed in the Akahi building for 2 weeks. Beautiful private owned 1 bedroom. What an amazing place. 5th floor and ocean views. The place it self is the best you will see in this building. Talk to the owners directly and not over an agency. Much better deals and no extra cost involved. The room number was D-510. Everything is brand new and renovatedFrom granite countertops, huge sliding doors to the Lanai which opens up the living room area. Beautiful bathroom with walk in shower. 2 pools, tennis court and directly on the Kamaole Beach Park 2. Restaurant near by like the Mexican restaurant Freds and so on.

Good price for a great location with great views of the ocean and sunsets from the top floor. But be ready to haul 4 gallons of water twice a day from the air conditioner to the bathtub. And that was with the air conditioner set at 74 degrees average. The louvred windows in the front and back of the condo just do not keep the cool air in, nor the hot air out. Pillowcase should not be 6 inches shorter than the pillow.

Nice place to stay, staff very helpful, just cross 1 street you are at the beach.

The location is fantastic. You can find everything walking distance. The view from the balcony is beautiful. They dont provide enough toiletries for long stays. Also It is inconvenient that check in is at 3pm, but the main office closes at 4pm. If you arrive after 4, you have to download an application on your phone or device in order to get a code and be able to get in to the room. Who really wants to go through this inconvenience after a long flight.

I stayed here for 10 days during my trip to Maui. Wonderful location. Very close to beach. You can enjoy the ocean view from your window. It is very Close to market and restaurents. The building has very beautiful botanical garden and ample of parking space.

D501. Pleasantly surprisedD501. Pleasantly surprised. For the money, this was spot on and better than a hotel. Right in the center of activities, across from the beach. The view from the balcony was awesome ( you have to get the higher floors to get a view). We were only there for a few days visiting from Oahu, so a longer stay we would get the 1 BR. The beach chairs, snorkles, and umbrella were great. The zippers on the chairs are going but that is what happens in this environment. They even had ice packs in the freezer and full ice trays. Would have used a clear or half clear shiwer curtain as it is dark in there. Bed was comfortable. AC was adequate.

The complex is built in the 70s but the unit 414 we stayed in is mostly remodeled and quite nice. Beautiful landscaped property, great pools for relaxing if its too windy on the beach. The only downside and what will probably prevent me from renting here again is the design of the windows, they are shutter style that tilt open facing the parking lot. They act like ears pointing down. We rented a unit on the fourth floor and we literally could hear people whispering on the ground. And if someone was talking or laughing loud, it sounds like theyre in your room! My wife and I and my daughter had a hard time sleeping here. Quiet time is posted to be 10pm-7am but the people renting here are very uncourteous of others, there was a guy taking a leak on the parking lot one night at 1am, another vomiting out back at 4am. Lots of drunk and rowdy folks slamming doors, laughing out loud. So if you party all night and sleep all day, this place will be good, if you can sleep in a noisy environment, youre good. If you like to relax in peace, I suggest another condo.

The location of this condo could not have been much better. It is right across the street from a nice beach and right next to all the main restaurants in the area. The condo itself was nice. My only complaint is, I wish they would have had beach towels. They say to pack your own but if youre traveling, most people dont have room for 2 or more giant towels in the luggage. They did provide beach chairs and umbrellas, that was nice. If you stay here, open all the windows in the living room and bedroom to get air flowing. The cool breeze keeps the condo at a nice temp. If it does get too hot, turn the portable ac on for a bit. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay there.

Nice location because you can walk a block to the beach. The place had 2 pools and a full kitchen. The AC didnt reach the bedroom too well, put with the fans back there it was fine. The grounds are kept super nice and we had free parking. The bathtub drain was kind of slow. There were lots of restaurants nearby that you could walk to or a 3 minute drive away. The beaches nearby were superb with fish, turtles and nice calm waves.

This Resort is a great location located in Kihei Maui close to everything if youre going to come to Hawaii stay in Kihei side its the dryer side of the island and it is not so touristy

We stayed in unit D415. It was a nice, compact, two-bedroom condo. We could see the ocean from the balcony. The online reservation process was smooth, and having a pin-pad as the door lock was very convenient with four of us coming and going. There was very good beach access right across the main road.The pool was ok, but nothing to write home about.

Great location to Kamaole beach 2....and walkable spots for some small shops and restaurants.

The unit has not been updated, was dark, dirty, the air conditioning leaked and worked poorly. The bedroom was adjacent to the elevator and was extremely noisy

It was fabulous... except the in window unit of the air conditioner did not keep us cool in the bedroom. It was on a timer and therefore not enough time elapsed to cool the whole place. We ended up sleeping on the couch which fortunately folded out to a bed

Nice condos with its own shower. The tennis court is nice. The pools are pretty crummy, but, overall, we liked the location as the beach was right there and we were close to restaurants and shops and were not in a resort.

The apartment was very dated and did not feel clean. The sheets on the bed smelled of mold. Ive never spent so much money on such a terrible hotel/apartment. I recommend staying elsewhere!

The stay was really nice, with pullout beds to account for any extra people who needed it(my family definitely did). The service at the front desk was really nice and accomodating, with helpful tips as to where to get the best prices and experience the local culture. Would recommend, only issue is the wifi doesnt extend quite to the bedroom.

Awesome condo! Lots of sweet extras- like chocolates and water and a pineapple waiting for us as we arrived! Then some more candy placed on our doorstep in the middle of our stay! Lovely amenities - great pool, so close to the best beaches, nice restaurants (Coconuts is our favorite!)...etc. etc. etc!!!

Cute rooms and well taken care of buildings! Maintenance around the condo was on point as well with the staff constantly working on the upkeep! Beautiful views and within walking distance of a couple cute shops! Across the street from a wonderful little beach with a perfect view of the breathtaking Maui sunset!

Everything was great. The manager on the property was amazing shes such a sweetheart. The only problem I had with this place was the air conditioning unit. We were on the 6th floor and when we used it it would leak water outside and go down to the condo below us and the guy would call and complain. The manager Diana was great when she called us about it. She was just a doll. Finally after we did everything we could the owner was contacted to take care of the issue. Other then that the property was absolutely beautiful with amazing views!

Great place. Nice location for walking adventure. Near beach but water can be really rough...but we are on an island. Had a clean condo and easy to contact someone when you need. Independent condos for rent, but, we got a great one. C417... beautiful & clean...

They provided almost anything you needed to live comfortably...even aluminum foil for grilling... with clean grills!

Dated rooms but excellent location. Our room had a great view. Nice Central location close to everything in walking distance. There is no hottub on his property!

This is the 2nd year weve stayed here and really love the places and the grounds! So close within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping, as well as right across the street from the beach!

This place was great. 601 had a beautiful view and was a perfect little condo. It had a washer and dryer conveniently located in the bathroom, had a nice flat screen television, comfortable bed, and updated kitchen. We cant wait to come back!

I can only evaluate the property grounds - clean, well working elevator, two swimming pools and beautiful landscaping. Has a tennis court as well. Located across from Kamaole Beach and nestled in the heart of Kihei, it is ideally suited for anyone looking for respite and sun. It is my understanding condos are individually owned.

Well it was okay. The place is very close to the beach (few minutes away), however the condition of the 1 of the 2 rooms we booked when we got there was not okay. The weather was really warm to humid, so we we’re hoping that the our room or unit has AC working. Though they have left a note for us that the Ac is not working and parts have been ordered for repair. We could have stayed at the other unit but since this unit is closer to the beach, we decided to stay here instead. Our overall stay was okay and nice as the place is closer to other establishments as well. The office person (Norma) was super accomodating and helpfull too.

I was very disappointed that the unit did not have air conditioning. There were barely any pots and pans to cook with. Not enough bath towels. I stayed in a different unit at the same place the time before this and it was a wonderful unit place fully stocked with everything we needed. It just depends on who owns the unit.

Always live staying here, right across the street from one of the beautiful beaches and within walking distance of some great food!

It was great but no air conditioning in the bedroom made it pretty hot and the sofa bed was impossible to sleep on and needs to be replaced. There were alot of cockroaches but not sure if that is typical for that area. Other than those items everything was great and even with those items when I go back to Maui I would stay there again I would just take bug spray. Location couldnt be better and we enjoyed very much

Condo C309 was a great place to stay. Close to the beach... literally across the street. Very convenient & comfortable. Since it is a condo, it has all the amenities of home.

Asked for more toilet paper through their app. Didnt seem to work...ran our of toilet paper asked for it on app they have you download for stay.never got paper or shampoo. I should have called instead of using their app system. I asked to extend our check out time from 11am to 5pm, thankfully unit was available and we stayed till 5pm. $10 bucks extra per hour not bad!!! No body comes around for house keeping, i assume you have to call and request...never really needed it.. but when I did really need the toiletries I called and it was out of working hours at 5 pm, nobody works after 5 and you have to leave a message.

We loved the location and the general appearance of the condo. We personally like condos with more windows and light from side windows but this could not be helped with the way the place was built.

Wonderful place! Across from the beach and clean air conditioned rooms with a well stocked kitchen to cook whatever you bring to eat. We loved it!

This was our first condo experience in Hawaii. We have stayed at both luxury resorts and mid grade hotels.Room D415 at the Kihei Akahi more than met our expectations! It is a corner unit with a decent ocean view in the building furthest from the street. The assigned parking spot we had was front row. There is a stairway and an elevator. Very clean property and unit. Stocked with just about everything you need in the kitchen. Microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cutlery, pots, pans, dishes & more. The fridge did not get as cold as I would have liked even on highest setting. WIFI was great, no drops on tablet, laptop, or phones. ONLY negative...no central heat/air conditioning. The wall unit cooled the living area nicely but barely touched the bedrooms. There are ceiling fans and a box fan. Luckily, the pullout sofa was surprisingly comfortable and we spent several nights on it instead of the master bedroom. The furnishings, while not brand new and contemporary, were very comfortable and more than adequate for our 7 day stay. Master bedroom has a queen size bed and adjoining bathroom with tub/shower combo. The shower spray was a bit weak, but again, adequate. The second bedroom has two twin beds. We did not use them, but they appeared very clean and comfortable. The second bathroom is adjacent to it and has a shower/tub combo as well. We did not use this shower. This unit includes a washer/dryer combo. If you plan on doing laundry here, I would suggest you pickup a bag of detergent from the office. They are low capacity machines(only will take two-three beach towels max) and a family would need to do several loads a day. The instructions warn against using high suds detergent.The owners provide 4 beach chairs, many boogie boards, umbrellas, sand mats, portable cooler, & some beach toys. The linens and towels were clean and durable. There are extra pillows provided in the closets. There were several beach towels as well.Unfortunately for us, the property next door was in the midst of some parking construction. Started a precisely 8:00 am everyday until at least 4:00 pm. It was loud and a pain, but not something that would have been predictable. There are many shops and food choices within walking distance. The beach across the street has a lifeguard on duty. The waves pickup all over the island after noon, so plan on early water activities.We would definitely stay here again, and bring the kids with us.

Leaving tomorrow, wish we had a few more days. The unit we stayed in was awesome. It was recently updated, and was great. Larger than we thought, and had everything we could possibly need ie; beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, umbrella, even coffee travel mugs and water bottles. I didnt see what the other units looked like, but I would definitely stay here again. The property has very nice grass/garden areas, and 2 decent size pools. Our unit said garden view, but we could see the ocean from the lanai (5th floor). The location is right across from Kam II beach. Great for our kids, good amount of sand, gentle surf. Restaurants, bars, shopping and necessities within easy walking distance. They are still in the process of re-paving the parking area, was a little inconvenient, but not a big issue. Looks like they will be done soon. Really was more than we expected.

The Kihei Akahi condo we stayed at was very nice; updated amenities in the condo itself, beautiful garden view, and just a 30 second walk to the beach. The kitchen and linen closet were fully stocked. There was a washer/dryer in the unit, and a keyless entry which came in very handy. The staff were friendly. There was a tennis court and the pool facility had an outdoor kitchen as well. All in all I would go back here in a heartbeat!

Enjoyed the stay as we had beach facing condo, only issue was the continuous water removal from air conditioner, had a huge penalty for not clearing it

I stayed here with a friend during our vacation for 6 days. It was an okay stay. We were five minute walk away from the beach and all of the shopping centers. The pool was occupied usually by families and couples. I may stay here again.

Love how close it is to the beach. The furnishings are good, the condo kitchen was very well stocked. We didnt lack anything. There are plenty of fans in the room plus running AC which was a huge plus. The only downside is the potential noise from the corridors, as all bedrooms are right next to the hall so its easy to disrupt neighbors at night. They have two swimming pools, and the view from the 4th floor is very nice. Would recommend either a high room for the view of the ocean, or ground floor for the benefit of just opening the door to step out on the grass.

Be prepared that the pictures of the condos are not true representation of all of the condos. Ours was a very outdated condo with too many mirrors and in need of a good cleaning. However if you get a condo in the higher floors you can get great peek a boo views of the ocean. Also be prepared if you are staying for more the a few days you will need to purchase supplies, like toilet paper. The few staff they have seemed nice enough. However, be aware that when checking in you should have a code for your door. The front desk does not have it and the booking site does not give it to you. If we would have checked in after five, not sure how we would have known the onsite office doesnt have anything to do with your rental. Last critique is the air conditioner does not cool the whole condo and there was no breeze in the bedroom, so we slept on the hideaway bed for comfort. Location is great and they have 2 pools, so youll have to decide for yourself if its the place for you.

Great location in a beautiful part of Kihei. The kids loved the closeness to the beach and the pool! Condo was well kept and ready for us.

Great location across the street from Kamaole II beach, great for swimming and watching the sunset. The condo is in a short walks distance from food, cocktails, shave ice and cocktails. Very clean and organized, plus a washer and dryer. Plus a pool in case the winds are too strong for swimming but you need to get in the water. Gorgeous botanicals and management gives you a map so you know what you are seeing.

The condo we stayed in was laid out terribly. If you wanted airflow through the space, youd have to leave your front door open as the windows in the bedroom were boarded up, otherwise youd have to keep the AC on. The balcony/lanai were practically nonexistent, we kept getting dripped on by the AC units above us and there is no covering so sunlight and rain were major issues. The bathtub would almost not drain, when you turn on the shower, theres almost 3 inches of water in under a minute and it took almost 10 minutes to drain. There was no venting in the bathroom at all, so steam and stink stayed in there almost perpetually; there is a physical vent, but it doesnt seem to go anywhere or be cleaned out because a bunch of dust and lint came falling out one day.

My wife and I stayed at Kihei Akhai June 2012. Great vacation, we just had one complaint. If you stay here make sure the elevators are working. Five of our ten days were spent climbing 6 flights of stairs. Overall great stay but would definitely get a one bedroom next time, they have the best view. (we stayed in a studio)

Its a bit different staying in a condo rental. Reminded me of a timeshare, but the front desk was a bit less organized. Other than that, though, it was a great experience.

Great condos in a super great location.

Clean basic accomodations with excellent on-site staff. Undisclosed but required visit to Property Managing agency used for check-in not a pleasant beginning and no apparent sense of aloha there. Good base location for island explorations or walk to beach/town in minutes.
