Path from the back of the golf club parking lot is easiest. Left up the path just before the water tank, dont go around it. Youre going to go through a semi clearing with power lines running through the trees. Right after that, when you go over the big tree trunk blocking the path, GO RIGHT! The stone path continues straight but that is a path to confusion and backtracking. Save yourself an hour and go right. The falls are a beautiful sight.

Its an easy hike yo. We did it and it wasnt very difficult. Park in the church parking lot away from the actual church building. Waterfall at the end is your payout. WE HIKED IT AND YOU CANT DO ANYTHING THING ABOUT IT! I gave it a five star rating.

Easy parking at the golf course and the trail was very easy. Took my toddler and saw a few people with dogs. The waterfall isnt huge so dont expect to do any swimming but you can still play around in it. Overall fun morning excursion with the family!

Beautiful falls. But a couple of things everyone should take note of before going on this hike. 1. Take the road (Kionaole Rd) up to the bridge, you are going to take the path on the closer side of the bridge DO NOT TAKE THE SECOND PATH AFTER THE BRIDGE. 2. The path will be obvious and take you to the far side of the golf course people do NOT like hikers to the extent of locking the gate shut with a padlock to keep non-club members out.3. Continue on the path up the back of the golf course parking lot until you get to the water tower structure. 4. Make a left before you reach the water tower, other people have attempted to locate the falls and failed because they didnt take the correct path from this point. 5. When you get to the first split after the downed tree on the path go to the right. The path is easy and if you find yourself struggling to figure out the correct direction you probably made a wrong turn somewhere. The falls are beautiful and worth the trip wear shoes that you dont mind covering with red clay/mud.

It was difficult to find, the entrance for the trailhead is near the Koolau golf club and Presbyterian church. The hike itself is very easy, but you can get easily lost on this one. Make sure you turn right by the carved tree it seems like youre going off trail, but you will hear the falls and it will be muddy. If the trail goes dry you went the wrong way. The falls is really cool and you can take pictures and climb up, this was a great photo spot!

Very fun and short with a great pay off. Definitely muddy so hiking shoes are highly recommended. Turn left onto the path before you get to what looks like a water reservoir (has graffiti). Keep going along the path until you see blue arrow on a tree pointing the right. The area is foresty and damp/muddy so bug repellant is suggested. It isnt very long and many people had their young children and dogs. Definitely 5 stars for someone who wants to be in nature and isnt going for the difficulty or length of the trail.

Truly enjoyable, rougher terrain with roots and branches on sections of the hike, falls were flowing full, great scenery, picture opts.Wear good waking shoes that can get muddy, and water shoes if you want to step in the water at the basin.

Cool off the beaten path trail. When we went up in the afternoon there was nobody else there. We had to ask someone who worked at the church and golf course where the trail was. When we went up the road to the large water tank (like a water tower, but on the ground) the trail head was on the left right before the tank. The path is cool and kept up well enough, but also a little overgrown to give you a cool jungle feel. At one point youll see a tree with a bunch if carvings in it. One if the carvings says Likeke ->. Take that right turn and youll get there eventually. The falls were a little underwhelming, but the hike was really cool and relatively short.

There are no pictures that can do this place justice. The hike is managable by most people, the path is marked moderately well and the whole experience seems like one of the hidden secrets since its not crowded and lacking of trash. Its a great jungle experience that makes you feel like an extra in an Imdiana Jones movie. There are no park fees, parking fees nor conservancy fees... Just unadulterated nature that you have to take a little effort to find.Aloha

Beautiful secluded spot, easy hike for the whole family. One caveat though, we missed the trail fork and ended up following a trail that ended nowhere. The correct trail is an easy hike and very jungley. The water is ice cold and therer are no pools large enough to get into. We loved it.

Trail is always muddy because the foliage is so thick the ground rarely dries out so you need to prepare to get muddy. You dont need full hiking boots but hike in flip flops at your own risk. Good one for kids because its short

Extraordinarily slippery when rained-on. Deep Oahu mud means your shoes will be soaked and so caked in red clay that you will have to throw them away. hou vines are very thick meaning that everyone will have to bend low, and anyone over 6 feet will very likely get snagged by the branches. Bring hiking poles for stability. Falls are short (30 feet) and narrow. Small pool at the base is pleasant but nothing special.

Very muddy after the rain but the hike is relatively easy. We saw a huuuge bee hive on our way up and down. Just stay calm and they wont bother you. Dont swat at them! Falls were small but nice and cool on a hot day. Lots of mosquitos so wear long sleeves and pants if you are prone to getting bit. They had no regard for our bug spray and after taking a dip in the water it washes off anyway.

Likeke Falls:This is a pretty easy and short hike to one of Oahus falls (there arent a lot of them). What makes this hike interesting is that it takes you back through history. The hike starts at Nu uanu Pali Lookout where the battle for Hawaii was won in 1795 and culminated in hundreds of men, women, and children being pushed off its cliff.Originally this route was an ancient Hawaiian footpath over the Pali Pass and one of the only safe passages over the steep Koʻolau cliffs. In 1845 stones were laid and the footpath was widened so carts and horses could transports goods to and from the windward side to Honolulus port. Later, in 1897 the old one lane Pali road was built. Then in 1958, after the completion of the Pali tunnels, the old road was closed .Just to the right of the lookout you will find the old Pali road and this is where the trail begins. Following the road until some boulders lead you to a sharp left turn and then down a ladder under the hwy to the other side where you reconnect with the old road again. Once you reach the 3 way intersection the actual trail begins by a concrete wall on the left side of the road. The trail is beautiful, full of lush green vegetation, quite different from the ridgeline trails. Just prior to turning off to the left (at the carved tree) and heading to the falls, you will begin walking on the old stone pathway. Im always amazed by cultures like the Incas, Myans, Hawaiians, and others that built great roadways from stones like this. The falls themselves are small compared to many of Hawaiis other falls, but this was still a beautiful and tranquil hike.
