Beautiful Nature Retreat. Walk the trails or sit by the river. Swing in a hammock or go fishing. Whatever floats you boat out there. Its overall a beautiful place and very peaceful.

This used to be one of my favorite spots to go to run or walk. The last three times I have been there in the past several weeks (end of June to early July 2020), there have been swarms of biting flies attacking by the dozens. Every time, I have had to retreat to my vehicle. I dont see anybody else mentioning this... Maybe its my deodorant!

Nicely maintained trail with a good mixture of grassland, forest, and a little wetland.Downside is the signage. There is virtual no guidance along the trail(s). You either need to walk halfway and backtrack or have a good sense of direction. This is not a show stopper but warning for first time visitors.

Nice place to go walk the dogs, they even provide poop bags if you forget yours. Has a small 1 mile loop and a larger loop thats maybe over 2 miles. Trail needs some mowing and brush trimmed back. Nice big parking lot could hold 20 cars. The lot entry needs some attention. Its very rough so enter slowly.

Really enjoy these trails. Never too busy and easy to find your way around. It has some good sized hills but mostly a non challenging landscape. Easy to find, but the parking lot has some pretty substantial potholes. Hopefully they will get a chance to fix that soon. Overall a really pleasant place to get a shot of nature.

I would love to give this place more stars but sometimes it can be overcrowded and the parking lot has holes that can swallow a car!

McLinden trails are great. A nice short nature walk on a very well taken care of trail. A great trail for a family with small children or out with the grandparents. Its also a nice trail to take your dog for a walk, but bring your own bags the trail doesnt provide any.

Well maintained trails through a variety of scenery. The main trail takes you on a loop around the border of the area. Some side trails will take you to an overlook of a lake and a small pond. Ive seen squirrels, geese and swans, found signs of deer all around.Takes about 45 mins to an hour to walk the main trail.

Love this place. Great forest and open prairies for hiking. Varying levels of terrain, but none are terribly intense. One trail leads you to a high point on a hill over looking the lake by Robert Morris Park. Beautiful views and a great place to have a sit and just take in the beautiful treasures God has given us.

A nice dog friendly park. The trails are mostly 4 foot wide with a good mix of forest, and field. There are a couple of creek side spots for watering. Dog bags are provided at the H Ave entrance and the trash is emptied regularly.
