Very knowledgeable and had very fun activities. Great place to about airforce and our history.
Great place to bring your kids to learn about our history
We stopped to this museum on our way back to Toronto. What an amazing experience! Our 3 yrs old kid loved it. We ended up spending more than 2 hours exploring and being amazed by what this little museum has to offer. It is a hidden gem. As a tip: spend the 3 dollars per person and attend one of the shows on the planetarium. It is totally worth it. And as a bonus: the entrance is completely FREE!
A great local museum. It has a real mummy and everything!
Our little grandkids beg us to take them to the museum....from working in the restaurant, doing a news cast and exploring all the new things on the 3rd floor! ( Math this time), Its a fun place to learn something new through play. Our favorite this time was making paper airplanes and using a machine to launch them clear across the room! The laughs and giggles as they ran after their planes was the greatest!
Awesome museum and resource for Kalamazoo. The exhibits are well-thought out, well-kept, and most importantly, FUN! Great place for family members of all ages.
What fun! Varied creative and historic and educational exhibits--all inviting and interactive. Very family friendly, from toddlers to seniors. Free entry!
We love it here! Always something new to see and do. Great for all ages. Lots of hands-on activities.
New- in the midst of rejuvenating downtown Kalamazoo; perfect for a rainy/too cold day visit. Three stories of exhibits for all ages (handicap accessible) admission was free! Giant round screen video in the planetarium-(small fee). Will definitely visit again.
Great Museum. Lots of displays for children
Very informative and fun. I liked the third floor of the museum very much. It has puzzles which can keep you busy for hours. Also the museum is located in downtown which is a nice place to roam around.
The dangerous plants exhibit was really cool and very informative. Museum is great overall. Bathrooms were clean. I will be back next time I am in Kalamazoo.
Very nice little museum. We went to hear Laura Briley give an excellent Sunday afternoon talk on climate change. Very comfortable auditorium and we were able to borrow a wheel chair for my mom. Surprised there was no entrance fee for such a nice facility.
A great place to learn about the abundant history of Kalamazoo! Kids area was newly renovated and its fantastic. Hands on and tons to see. Free but donations accepted, we always toss a 10 or so. Always a good idea to support our local museum!

Great way to spend 4-5 hours. Free admission to museum plus decent price for planetarium (boiling hot in planetarium though) Close parking garage and lunch spots. Perfect for homeschool field trips.
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is always so much fun! Although she loved it when she was younger, I was concerned that my 12-year-old would feel like she was too old to enjoy it. Not true! She still enjoyed every minute! We were also very lucky to get an entire planetarium show to ourselves and got a little extra attention from our host because we were the only ones there. What a great day!!!
This place was amazing! Great exhibits about Kazoo and all it has done for Michigan, the US, and the world! Professional exhibits, great for kids, teens, and adults! Total bonus... FREE!!
Cant say enough positive about the Kalamazoo museum and its staff. Took my children there when they were growing up, and now accompanied my grown children as they take their children there. Always a very friendly and positive experience. Thank you Kalamazoo Valley Museum.

Rotating exhibits are phenomenal. Stationary exhibits also dope.ONE bit of constructive criticism (cant be to harsh on a place with automated banjos), the storytimes should improve or stop.

The exhibits were well done and family friendly. We had a blast with our seven-year-old!
