I never been to this park. I actually live in Grand Rapids and I was told Kalamazoo has lights in the park this time of year, so I wanted to check it out. It was amazing. Usually here in Grand Rapids we have to pay for the light shows but here its open to the public. A lot of people were taking pictures. My kids were very excited to see all the decorations. Im not 100% sure if they do this every year but if they do would definitely be our new tradition.

Very attractive park. I only have 5 stars because of the homeless issue. I know they have to go somewhere and most are fine. I did have a couple trying to ask for cigarette and or money. Not sure Id take children there. Although again that was the exception.

Nice park, as many reviews state, a lot of what appear to be homeless around/shady characters. Went during the day, didn’t feel unsafe. Flowers and benches and group gathered near stage area. Overall seemed clean. No bathrooms that I saw. Not much to do, but I’m sure have events or food trucks it would be cool to check out again.

The rating depends on when and why you are going to this park. If you are going for the yearly art festival, its great. Also the annual Christmas tree lighting is nice. But on most days, this is where the homeless people in Kalamazoo hangout. I definitely would not feel safe just hanging out there with my family if there wasnt an event going on.

Nice little park area to walk around in (especially for pokemon go players lol.) Lots of grass sculptures designed by all the businesses sound town along with food trucks that line the streets during certain times. Used to have statues but it is now covered in grass where they sat. Has a huge stage for any kind of performance.

Freddys food Hut was outstanding. Wonderful cheery people wonderful service the brisket was to die for just melt in your mouth. Cant wait to come back and to have some more of Freds fantastic food. I cant say too much for the park though I think the layout in fact I know the layout could be much better than it is. But if you want to try some really good food I would highly recommend Freddys food hat its a big red truck you cant miss it.

Pleasant downtown park that always seems to have something going on. the only downside is the homeless population is usually pretty present here. However, that said, Ive never had a problem with any of the homeless people in the park, and they generally keep to themselves. During the daytime, theres no reason why men, women and supervised children shouldnt feel comfortable in the park. Nighttime is another story.

Just went to play Pokemon Go, cant speak for how it is during the summer, but it was fairly tranquil. I dont understand why you should need to pay for parking at a park but I guess thats just how it is these days, cant just not pay because there are like 5 cop cars there at any given time.

It would be a nice place to relax in the shade of a tree when downtown, but just like Arcadia Festival Place, Bronson Park is usually full of homeless people. I sympathize with them, but not all of them treat the park with respect and clean up after themselves.

During the day this park is beautiful. There are very fun seasonal events and weekly live entertainment and food trucks in the summer. At night this park gets very sketchy. It is a very common place for people to congregate and use drugs. In general the people are harmless but I have felt uncomfortable a few times.

Very nice, well kept park near the heart of downtown. Great for afternoon and evening strolls, particular evening with the lights shining up at the old style buildings.
