Its very lovely and there are many walks of life including turtles, frogs, birds, and fish of many variety. I have been here many times and never had to worry about a homeless person. I went fishing under a bridge and two homeless men played blue Grass music while I fished. They are no threat and they are seldom here and if they are theyre just like you ; they dont want to be bothered. The only problem is the river is polluted.

The walk behind the memorial is peaceful along the river. Just be sure to have someone with you after night fall for safety sake.

Nice memorial and park next to the river, close to the road though so traffic is loud. Theres a pokemon go gym here

This Memorial and everything is stands for his great and I would give that itself five stars. But every time I drive by there there are many homeless people and I wish that they could get more help especially if they are veterans and sleeping at a Veterans Memorial Park it just breaks my heart. I wish they didnt have to sleep outside and that we could offer them something better than that for everything that theyve done for us.

If you can get pass the drunks and the drugs and whatever else is there....its a very nice park to come chill and remember the Veterans that put their life on the line for our country...one name on the ground i just remembered he was very young when he died but just to sit there and wonder what they life wouldve been like...Wow its an experience for real.

Great to bike to. Its a wonderful thing to have here and I think its good to have a memorial. Its pretty good-looking, too.
