I found this place by googling distilleries. We drove 2 hours just to check out their whiskey in person and it was definitely worth the drive! The customer service, the drinks, and the atmosphere completely blew us away! The staff were patient, friendly, and personable. Their outdoor seating was perfect—there were a number of other groups there, but we were so spread out that it felt like we were hanging out in our own backyard by ourselves. We will definitely be back!

My partner and I visited Green Door Distilling Co. to see an improv show. I am impressed that they serve hot tea on the evening drink list, in which I enjoyed, My partner had a glass of whiskey. The staff was welcoming and swift in their duties. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

Awesome craft distillery in downtown Kalamazoo! Their products are very unique and have a stupendous staff to craft you up some delicious cocktails I love their wheat whiskey and cannot wait to see what else they have cookin up in the back. Currently have a lot of outdoor seating due to Covid-19 but their lawn is great and they even have an herb garden that grows stuff they put into their cocktails!! The only downside is that the parking lot is a tad small if theyre having an event or just being popular that night but there are other places to park nearby. 10/10 must stop place if you enjoy craft spirits

Love this place!!! Matt, Jake and the rest of the staff have always taken amazing care of me anytime I come in. Buying their liquor to-go anytime I am there because they cannot distribute at the moment. They sanitize between customers and have social distancing-conscious seating. Come try their awesome fall drink menu!

Very sophisticated, complex, inspired cocktails -- clearly finessed by a master mixologist. I tried both the old fashioned with smoked apple icecubes & a gin with peppered sage & cucumber tonic. Although I enjoyed both very, very much, if I were to have one criticism / suggestion, it would be that the intricate palette of flavors can easily hide and obscure the taste of the very product (the house-made unaged whiskey & the gin) that I came to sample.I really love the room and enjoyed the atmospere that you have created!

Fantastic drink creations. Higher end quality for moderate prices. This is a place to enjoy what youre drinking, instead of drinking to enjoy.

Visited this place while traveling for work. Zach was a great bartender and really easy going. Im not much of a cocktail person, but all of his mixes were spot on. This is a good spot to hang out and really enjoy the atmosphere.

Green Door is the perfect little distillery. Everything, including simple syrups, juices, bitters, and their very own whiskeys and gin are homemade. Everyone here puts passion into their spirits. Every single drink I have had here has been simply spectacular.

This is one of the most sophisticated bars in the area! I love the vibe! The atmosphere is so chill. Its not loud, no ones spilling drinks or blasting music. Its the perfect place to have a drink and discuss business or have an intimate conversation over one of their beautifully infused beverages! I love their drinks!!! Pricey, but smooth, and subtle, with a soft punch. The bartenders are great too! Ive been on multiple occasions. It truly is a place to experience!

Great cocktails thoughtfully prepared using locally distilled craft spirits. In a community surrounded by excellent breweries, Green Door offers a new and unique experience, unlike anywhere else in Kalamazoo. The staff are great at helping folks unfamiliar with the world of craft cocktails find a drink that will suit them well. If youre in town to tour breweries, I would highly recommend a detour to Green Door to expand your horizons.

Great whiskey, delicious cocktails, and a friendly staff. You cant go wrong here. Great open air patio/yard with corn hole games and picnic tables. A great bar where they mix up some really nice cocktails featuring of their spirits distilled on site. Be sure to sign up for a tour on the weekends. The owners are very personable and interesting to talk to and they love talking about their craft. Go check out Kalamazoos first distillery since the 1850s.

I was able to attend the soft opening on 9/8/16 prior to the public opening on 9/10/16. Its nice to have an operating distillery in the area, one that truly crafts their offerings on site and not adds their own label to the work of others.The drink offerings were excellent, both in taste and options. I enjoy the sweeter side of things and the honey whiskey hit the spot. Service was excellent, and the servers had the product knowledge to offer suggestions based on your preferences. All in all it was a great experience and I wish Green Door all the success!

Love this place! The attention to detail in the decor is matched only by the intricacy of the cocktails! Such a hidden gem in Kalamazoo, nice to have an alternative to craft beers in town as well. The owners truly know their stuff, and their passion is palpable. You can even see the production facility from the bar! Definitely worth the visit.

The experience I had at Green Door was fabulous. The cocktails were good with different flavor palettes and the environment was up beat. I love what they did with interior and being about to see the production facility is cool. Its the type of place I cant wait come back and try their 10yr whiskey, once it gets there. Awesome distillery. Small and local. Tours are perfect for beginners and veterans alike. The High Point Honey whiskey is awesome. Drink menu is well crafted, but not extensive. Cool atmosphere to hang out and grab a couple drinks.

Cozy place with high end drinks made from their distilled products. Went for a post dinner drink and played a game of chess with my date. It was a little quiet but not awkward quiet inside. Some regulars were at the bar and the bartenders were singing and making drinks. Interesting place.

After all the breweries, distilleries have started to pop up in kalamazoo. When this place opened, I was very excited. they have great selection of cocktails and various drinks. Apparently they dont serve food. I would visit this place more often if the drink prices werent expensive. Most drinks are atleast $7 and $8 which is sometimes a little to pricey. Other than that the staff is friendly, they got great ambience and calm atmosphere. I would definitelyrecommend this place for everyone.

Absolutely love this spot! Highly recommend the bloody mary!!! The mix is delicious! Staff was outstanding. Im a little disappointed I couldnt walk out of there with a beanie. ;) Definitely do yourself a favor and stop in.

Great addition to the downtown Kalamazoo scene. Environment is comfortable and, while spartan, it is very comfortable with its own style. Nice change of pace from the brew pubs in town, and nestled just off the beaten path enough to feel like a hidden gem. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable - and willing to educate me in their products.

Absolutely delicious cocktails, and friendly staff. I had a Dead Reckoning and Melon Cucumber Cooler cocktail and I would definitely order them again. Great live music too on their 1 year anniversary that was fun, but not too loud. I WILL be coming back!

With Green Door Distilling, Jon and Josh have built an incredible addition to the Kalamazoo community. Over the last 2 years Ive watched as these two entrepreneurs have taken their dream to bring a craft distillery to Kalamazoo and forced it into reality. And boy have they surpassed every expectation imaginable.I had the pleasure of attending their soft opening, and the entire experience was incredible. Its amazing how well polished the entire building is, especially considering this is a brand new company with the budget and resources of a startup.Okay, but what about the drinks? Unbelievable. Angie Jackson, their Alchemist, has curated a cocktail for just about every craving you might have. And everything that goes into your glass is made right there in house, including all of the mixers. Between myself and my group of friends, we tried just about everything on the menu, and I only heard good things.If youre a Kalamazoo local, this is the place to be. If youre just passing through, Green Door should be at the top of your list.Im definitely going to be spending a lot of time in their tasting room. Hope to see you there :)

First distillery in 158 years in Kalamazoo! Tried the High Point Honey on its own and was impressed at how well the honey balanced the whiskey. Totally great sipper. The Manhatten was a perfect balance of hand crafted ingredients (loved the bitters), and the other cocktails I had were equally impressive. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu!

Five of us got different cocktails and all were really sweet. When we switched to whiskey on the rocks, it tasted nothing like whiskey. I would not recommend this bar. These were some of the worst drinks that Ive ever had. They do not know the definition of an old fashioned.

I enjoyed my visit recently. As a non-drinker, it still was fun with unusual beverages for those who dont indulge. Great atmosphere and the food truck is a nice addition. Very friendly staff.

Coming from someone who gave up drinking a few years ago I was only excited about this distillery because Josh is an old friend of mine and I watched him fight tooth and nail for a concept that he believes in. When we showed up Friday to the soft opening, he said to me, Every one of our drinks can be made without alcohol. Because if it doesnt taste good without our alcohol, it sure as hell isnt going to taste good with it.That is an original thought for a local distillery and I appreciate their thought process and attention to detail. If this is any indication of their future endeavors and relationship to the people of Kalamazoo, then this will be a staple in our community for a very long time.Cheers to you guys for making your dreams a reality. Its been an inspiring adventure to witness.

Green Door will be well known with time. These are not your average run of the mill drinks. Angie (Master Alchemist/Tasting Room Experience Manager) knows what she is doing and treats you like family, and I can say no less for the other bartenders/mixologists that Ive had the pleasure of dealing with as well. While the spirits are just being born I see a very big potential for Kalamazoos first distillery. As of this post they have been open for 3 months (Dec 2016) and I can think of no other place in Kalamazoo that serves cocktails of this caliber.

Very neat little place. Relatively new. The relationship with the on-site food truck is nice. Everything is pricey though. The spirts are just ok, a little on the harsh side. Cocktails are good though. Not a lot of seating, especially for conversations (most seats are benches where everyone faces the same way). Very friendly staff. Watch this place to become something more in the future.

Had their version of a whiskey sour. It was very good with homemade ingredients. Sampled two whiskeys and a gin. Did not care for the whiskey by themselves, but the gin was good.
