Great bike park. Short, sweet downhills with manageable climbs and good variety of features to build your skills. Plus, when youre going fast enough you barely notice the smell.

Very fun place to bike. Would love to have more trails. The total trail mileage is about 4 miles.

Ive been living and riding in Utah for the past 14 years. Last weekend, I came back to visit JC for the first time in almost 7 years. Before moving to Utah, I had spent years riding ETSUs trails, Dry CreekIts great to see Johnson City investing in something as progressive as an IMBA designed trail, on a ridge that is basically in the middle of town. Its proximity to the new Tweetsie Trail and Local Motion are also great features.Tannery Knobs easily has the best pump track I have ever ridden. Granted, I have only ridden packed dirt pump tracks, so veteran asphalt pump track riders may disagree. Breakfast Club, the green trail, is an easy 0.6 mile loop that a toddler on a push bike would feel comfortable on. Mountain Express is 0.8 of a mile of fun that ends way too soon. There are a few small table tops, some small doubles, and a few kickers. Baby Flow is a quarter mile downhill connector trail between the halfway point of Breakfast Club and the switchback laden climb that, for some unknown reason, is named Chairlift, which takes you right back to the top of Baby Flow. At this point, you can head down Posses Club trail, 0.4 of a mile of most difficult trail (black diamond?) that consists of some fairly step terrain, sprinkled with some imported east coast jank at the beginning of the trail. Cumberland Braps is the other most difficult trail, which is similarly decorated with needless jank, that begins at the parking lot. I suppose you could call these rock gardens, whose only purpose seems to be to completely ruin the approach to the small drops that they end in. I assume this was done to deter novice riders from taking these trails. The end result is that almost no one rides these trails. If you are looking for a 0.3 of a mile long trail that is relatively technical, with zero flow, Cumberland Braps will probably be your happy place. Panorama is the return trail for everything except Breakfast Club. It is a fairly smooth, steady climb, with the exception of the last 100 feet, before returning to the parking lot.

Fun! Great trails! Something for everyone - beginner cruising, fast flow, rollers and table tops, a skills area, and gnarly rocks! Having just gotten back from riding in Colorado and Utah, I was happy to find such good riding in Johnson City. After tearing it up by myself, I came back the next day w my seven year old and had some family oriented fun too. Bravo to Tannery Knobs and all involved in its creation.

If you are into fast rolling MTB trails with plenty of burms etc. then you will probabaly like Tannery Knobs. Most of the trails arent very long but do offer various levels of difficulty and several decents/hill climbs to get a great workout. There is a nice flowy green trail for lesser skilled riders and a pump track to practice on as well. They have a couple of portable bathrooms by the parking lot for convenience which were nice and clean when Ive had to use them. Overall a great place for a quick ride.

Amazing park! The trails are primarily gravity based with lots of skill-progression variety packed into this 40 acre park. The paved pump track is also a ton of fun. The views are unrivaled for an urban park setting and enjoyable by all right from the parking lot. Could really use a multi-use hike and bike trail from the very bottom along with a bike only descent to truly maximize the trail user experience.

Super enjoyable park when its not crowded. I use a skateboard on it and it shreds. Longboarding is probably the best experience Ive had of riding multiple types of boards and a bike. Probably the closest to surfing you can get on asphalt. Gorgeous view. There are too many parents that just let their children roam free. I understand completely its a public park for all ages, going around some of those curves youre blind and for some reason small children are attracted to blindspots. There are grown men on really big bikes speeding around. It isnt a playground to let your toddler roam while youre on a trail. Its new so everyone is getting into the groove of things, but I often found myself stopping mid line because someone was coming the opposite direction. Im sure sometimes it was me getting in someones way and not the other way around. I would definitely recommend the park, but later in the evening if possible.

As a novice mountain biker, this place is awesome. There are definitely some trails that are outside of my wheelhouse, but its so cool to see a city put a park like this up for free. Not only that, theyre expanding it. We heard from the mayor (who just happen to be there) that a pavilion, and permanent restrooms (only portables right now) are on their way.By far my favorite part was the paved pump track. I could have spent hours gearing around this little track.

Terrible staff, that actually took wiped me out on purpose. Broke my knee cap because he said no skateboarder allowed, and they dont have a sign anywhere that says this. Can already tell the city is going to ruin this potentially fun park for everyone.
