Nice simple park with a good sidewalk style path if u enjoy walking, jogging, bicycling or skateboarding..Everyone is welcome to enjoy as they want..A nice restaurant nestled rite on the path. The park is very well lit and the center circle has a great place to sit to read a book or sit with friends.. Nice Place Johnson City

Check out the beautiful creek and the cool sculptures. A nice place for or relaxing. Easy access to downtown restaurants. If you are visiting town, you definitely want a picture with the Johnson City sign behind you. Its a classic for the future.Be sure you notice the tiny yellow finches that occasionally bathe in the creek. Have you ever seen cattails as tall as the ones in this park?

It should be public knowledge that these waters are not safe to let your children play in. This would be a lovely place if the conjoining creeks, the nucleus of the park, werent consistently filled with trash. We as a city need to do a better job about keeping our public waterways free of litter, and practice better harm-reduction. What if the city put up signs around the park stating that is unsafe to play in, drink, or bathe in the water? What if we had better recycling and waste management resources? Wouldnt that be a good use of funding? Hello, Johnson City Development Authority. Hello, Beautification Committee. Hello, mayors. THIS is a sign!

Nice green space in downtown Johnson City. The parks is surrounded by a sidewalk with a creek running thru the middle. There are some restaurants/pubs adjacent to the park with outside seating.

It’s a small park but a beautiful area to walk around when the weather is nice. The mural is worth a look to see if you can identify all of the local wildlife. Perfect for a stroll after being at Go Burrito or the library.

I always enjoy coming out here especially in nice weather because the park is well-looked after. There is a lot of paths for you to walk on with your children or ride your bike and whats nice is that you have a kind of like an outside area of a restaurant that allows you to sit and enjoy your food. I have yet to try that restaurant that sits right outside the park but once I do I will let you all know.

Beautiful area downtown with numerous restaurants, bars, taprooms, and coffee houses within walking distance. Be sure to checkout the Atlantic Ale House on the edge of the park.

King Commons Park was built to help mitigate and control flooding and erosion. So you could say it was a win-win for Johnson City. The park sits on approximately three acres, and its pretty to walk through; however, I prefer the babbling Brush Creek in Founders Park over the Commons slow-flowing and mostly standing water. Nonetheless, its nice to have, and the annual Christmas tree lighting event is held in King Commons under the magnificent Welcome to Johnson City billboardesque sign.

A beautifully designed park just off down town. Though the park is new and needs time to grow into its natural beauty, it is adorned with colorful flowers and detailed metal railings. A small creek flows through the center and brings it all together

When the lighting kicks on in those minutes of dusk, the lightshow of cotton candy clouds reflected in the cool surface of the stream... this is peace, and beauty, and calm.
