Near to the jacksonville downtown youll see an amazing view during sunset and sunrise, I went there for sunrise. The view was amazing when you see people in boats, jogging around and then the mighty sun shows up with an orange color shine over the horizon.In 5 minutes it turned into pale yellow, now you have a full sun visibility in front of you. Just amazing

Great place for sunset walks and beautiful views of cityscape and river. Dolphin sightings are very common as you walk along the river. Definitely a must see when in jacksonville area.

Lively action in the night waters as we took our nightly constitutional along the Riverwalk. The dolphins were out feeding and playing. They came so close to the viewing platform you could see their skins and hear their breathing. In and out of the dark river waters they moved, writhing with the pleasure of capturing their dinner and showing off to viewers as they came to the surface for a breath. What a magnificent experience during our evening walk.

Beautiful views of downtown and the St. Johns River. You can often see dolphins playing in the water. Great place to exercise (walk or ride a bike) and plenty of seats to stop for a rest or just to sit and enjoy the view.

Absolutely breathtaking near dusk. Accessible from the Skyway, this place is scenic and convenient with lots of options for seating. The entire stretch is just over a mile long.

Wonderful place to have a walk after dinner, perfect view for downtown Jacksonville, with the view of Well Fargo Center, John Alsop Jr Bridge. Nice breeze in fall weather and the fountain is pretty nice too. If there is a few more lights in the park and it would be better.

Walked several miles on south side of St Johns. Hardly anyone there enjoying this expensive facility that is free to you.

Nice and relaxing walkway along the river. There arent any shops and restaurants along the way so youd need to go to another location for that. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view.

Lovely city and enjoyed the 2019 Jazz Festival over the Memorial Day weekend.

We enjoyed walking around the River Walk, taking a lots of Snapshots, of the St Johns River, later we enjoyed the River and looking a lots of Dolphins along the River.

My experience there was nice ! I was walking down there for half an hour with my little kid and a friend of mine !I like how clean the place is with the fresh air around there.And the best thing is that walking side is not far from the nice friendship fountain which you can see and sit to relax in after a nice walk.Good place to see.

A really nice place just to sit down and enjoy your day! Or you can walk the whole South bank and enjoy the view of the river and downtown!

Gotta love this area. All the murals & the St Johns. Great walk along the water to catch dolphins playing. Nightime is beautiful with all the hues & bridges.

Great place for a lunchtime stroll. It’s about 1.24 miles end-to-end starting at River City Brewery and ending at the school board building.

The view is gorgeous. A little over a mile to walk it, and it is wonderful with the Friends Fountain at the end. The river walk is calm, clean, and cozy.

This is a great site seeing destination. As you walk the river, there are beautiful art pieces and buildings to see. We didnt get to see it at night, but would like to go back to check out how it would be lit up at night. Great place to take a family walk or run for a work out.

This place is beautiful! New Years Eve was a memorable night. It wasnt crowded and the view was amazing!

Very beautiful at night when all the lights are on. The blue bridge was my favorite scene. Friendship Fountain was not as awesome as I anticipated but still a lovely stroll.

Beautiful walk, with great views of downtown Jacksonville. The flags on poles could be bigger, and the sailor statue needs to be better maintained. The tiles are falling off of it.

It is beautiful and it is great for a walk, however, it is not easy to find a parking spot, if you are not a local. I ended up parking in a garage (which is fine), but later I found the free parking. I liked the riverwalk, and I had the same experience as the others, it was completely abandoned, basically, no one was there.

Went here last sunday and had a great time and a great walk. Very nice veiws of jacksonville. Felt safe and peaceful

I go down there every weekend with family and its quiet and nice if you want to go for a jog. On the other side by the cummer museum is usually where i walk. there is also an area beside a railway where they have workout equipment for the public if anybody wants to go there to workout.

We stayed at the Lexington Hotel in Jacksonville. We were there to see the Rolling Stones! They were Great of course! The riverwalk was right next to the hotel. You can walk all along the river of course theres murals and statues, lights in the walk, seating you can watch dolphins cuz somehow they survive in the river cause its a mix of river and sea water. So its survivable for them. Also the River Taxi is a big pontoon boat that takes you to various locations on the river for 10 bucks a day! Its really great. Really nice way to take a stroll on the absolutely beautiful southbanj Riverwalk with extremely wide well paved walkways hard to find anywhere else in the world. Its quite a treat to walk here later in the day or during sunset. Be aware that during the sunny mid-day, it can get quite hot and uncomfortable in the summer. Still recommend taking a quick stroll if you have time.

We went on a weekend. The views were good but the place is bit dull, not many people around. Parking was bit difficult. We couldn’t take the ferry ride as there were no ferries when we went. The walk in the bridge is nice. A good place to spend time with family and fiends and to go for walk.

The Riverwalk offers a Beautiful view of the St Johns River and downtown Jacksonville. You may even be lucky enough to see the local bottlenose dolphins and Manatees playing in the river.

Stayed in the apartment near the riverwalk . Sunset is breathless and the building structures are amazing

Had a pleasant walk. Dog friendly. Clean public restrooms (porta potties too). Can easily spend an lazy afternoon here. Water fountains a plenty and restaurants close by.

If U are here in Jacksonville are ever coming here be sure to go see for yourself how wonderful the Southbank is for yourself you will in joy it

Beautiful walkway along the river! Wide enough to be shared by crowds but quiet enough for an intimate stroll in the evenings. Its well lit and comfortable to walk on 24/7. Nice shops and restaurants along the way if youre looking to pop in and out along the way.

It was very late in the evening when we visited the riverwalk, but it was VERY NICE! The walk was tranquil and visibly appealing with all the lights (bridges, buildings, etc) shining. I wouldnt mind coming back again during the day and again at night. The picture Im posting is under the bridge, near the park and River City Brewery Co.

We walked both sides of the Riverwalk on a breezy but warm Sunday in October. We got a great view of Jacksonville!

Great place to take a long walk. You can make it a long walk by also walking over the main street bridge. If you want to see a breathtaking sunrise, walk the south bank from friendship fountain heading east, very early morning you’ll see gorgeous colors and it’ll be still and quiet.

Security lady wouldnt allow me to dock my boat to let a passenger off to just grab a bite to eat.

This was my second visit. As always it was clean, well lit and nicely maintained. One of my favorite areas to visit in my new city.

I mean its nice, I get why they made it concrete, but the design of the previous walk was much more intriguing to walk. Now its just a plain Jane walkway. They could have made it concrete and kept the design, or made a much better design.

My boyfriend and I had a great time. It was my first time visiting. I enjoyed it.

Well-maintained walkway along the river. Dont expect a lot of shaded areas but if you avoid a very hot summer noonday, the breeze should be enough. I saw several dolphins while taking a walk.
