Stunning scenery, easy hike to base of falls. Historic and educational signage gives you a great tutorial of the area. Foliage is beautiful in the fall. Not alit of parking though and have short walk through town street to get to falls. Still worth a stop to see.

Dont get me wrong... the falls is super nice but...its such a short hike that the excitement hasnt even built up yet and youre already back to your car and ready to leave I would put this one on the last place on the itinerary for that reason. you wont get tired, its super short visit. take a photo and go.i wouldnt stay there either to soak up the falls. because just like the other reviewers have said there are notices you will encounter that says lead contamination in the area (be careful!!!)

Is a pretty waterfall and even at the start of fall had a bunch of water in it. Trail is rocky and full of scree. Park benches but no other facilities including no potable water, trash cans, etc. there’s a parking lot nearby right across the street from the start of the trailhead. Apparently swimming here is fatal so try to avoid it.

Fall is the best time to see water-fall. Not much crowded, and had perfect weekend there with plenty of scenic beauty around.

A very short walk/stroll to a fabulous waterfall. Perfect for reading a book, meditation or just a moment in nature. Pure bliss.

We were passing by and decided to see the falls. I was surprised by its height. It took less than 10 minutes to reach it. Definitely check it out as its free and one of the more impressive waterfalls nearby.

Cool rocks, but signs explain lead has been detected in the soil there. Definitely wash your hands and shoes well after visiting.

Excellent fishing day caught two Atlantic Salmon, 4min apart. Actively feeding .What a great morning

Simple path to a nice waterfall. Great for rock skipping. Be ware that the soil is contaminated with lead due to an old gun factory from years ago.

Underrated, peaceful, shades falls adjacent to the Cornell University campus with convenient parking. A perfect respite for family travel.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls Ive been to, definitely on the northeast coast. I definitely want to return to this waterfall one day as it was just an all round fantastic bit of fun for a short stop on the trek back home.

Very impressive waterfall - one of these largest (if not the largest?) in the area. It was very touristy and felt a little underwhelming because there is no hiking to get over to it.

This place is so beautiful and by far the best falls I have see in Upstate NY. The tail is short, you can see falls from the road and its unregulated so you can get right up to them. This an worth the drive no matter where your comming from. You wont be disappointed

Lovely! easy fast access, beautiful waterfall, but be careful - when we visited it had a lead warning ️ advised not to touch anything and wash your hands.

Such a beautiful waterfall. Peaceful area. I walked here from Ithaca Commons; it was a quick 20 minutes! I didnt do the next thing but, theres another waterfall about 25 minutes away; its called Cascadilla Gorge Trail. That one is within Cornell Us campus. (I will take on this trail the next time I come to Ithaca!)

Short trail to falls. Nice little relaxing place to take a break and enjoy the power of the falls. There is a small parking area near this location and two large parking lots across the street. The falls can be seen from the roadway. This appears to be an active fishing location as well. There is a warning sign about lead levels so this should be accounted for as well.

Great opportunity to see a beautiful waterfall up close and only a 5 minute walk from where you park your car. Plus its located right across the street from the world famous Fall Creek House! The Creeker is a classic old school Ithaca bar.

Ithaca Falls is stunning! A short walk makes this an easy visit.

A beautiful trail that is easy for beginner hikers. The trail itself is relatively flat with options of going down stairs and/or hills to get a closer view of the water. I went around the beginning of August and the flowers, water and views were absolutely stunning.

Great place to visit

The gorges and waterfalls in Ithaca are amazing! Right in the city are these very cool waterfalls that are tucked away and mostly out of sight but easily accessible. This waterfall was a short and easy walk from nearby parking. We were there after a large rain event and the water was roaring. Highly recommend this stop!

Very beautiful falls, easy to find and ample parking area. Went in April 3rd week, although the weather wasnt warm, it wasnt too cold either.Ithaca has many options to eat as you find variety of restaurants. Driving can be tricky as you dont see any flat roads, your entire drive in Ithaca will be on steep ups, downs and curves. Some roads are close to 105° angled and be sure to have a strong car with you (especially if youre driving with passengers in your vehicle)

Short trail that allows you to get close to the falls. Walk is right along the river. Very easy and level with a small hill to get down from the sidewalk to river bank

The trail that starts by Lake Street is quite short, itll probably take the average person 5 minutes to reach the falls. It also does not slope so anyone can do the hike with ease. The view of course is breathtaking. It was made more scenic by the rainbow that hovered by the waterfalls during our visit.We found free parking at the lot across Lake Street. We were here for about half an hour.

Its beautiful. The downside is the parking isnt the easiest place to walk down to the street level for viewing the Falls.

Its a small but fever water fall. You can get dangerously close to the fall which could be deadly. If you use caution its a beautiful place

Breathtaking and massive waterfall, easy access from small parking lot, or streetside if the lot is full. You can hardly even tell its in an urban area. One of the best falls in the area.

Not as ground breaking as the other falls. However, the falls is easy to get to. Swimming is allowed. In general, a nice quiet place to be.
