A small, but notable set of falls that’s squeezed in as Falls Creek changes direction and this is the culmination of that. The only safe viewing platform for this set of falls is from Stewart’s Ave bridge. Unfortunately unless you have a decent zoom or can access to a picture that doesn’t have safety netting in frame and you shoot your pictures at a time of the day that the sun illuminates the gorge/falls and does not interfere with flares on your lens this falls poses its challenges in photographing.
We didnt hike to this waterfall, we saw it from the bridge along Stewart Avenue. That bridge not only gives you a good view of the waterfall, but also of Cayuga Lake and the roof of Ithaca Falls on the other side of the bridge, to which this waterfall flows into. There are, however, no parking spots near the bridge, and the spot we found was a 15-minute walk away. Well worth the effort, especially with the amazing views that greet you!
