This is one of my favorite park In Irving Texas, it is the best assessability park in this area. Our kids really enjoyed the amenity this part has to offer. Along side of the park there’s also a little trail around a duck pond. It’s a perfect outing for the weekend. The park is clean, and it has a lot of little kids art With motivation quote. The playground is sectioned off into 2 separate areas. It is safe for little children, and entertaining for older kids.
My kids abd I love this park!! Always clean around park area, walking trails fun for both older kids and toddlers. It has a public bathroom. The only negative is that the bathroom stinks a little. But i dont think that can be helped all that much
2 very expansive playsets + lots of swings + community art + covered tables + jogging path + baseball fields (under lock and key) + restrooms (sometimes locked?). Lots and lots of fun! FYI if you want to keep an eye on small children you will be doing a lot of walking!
I held my COVID friendly baby shower in the pavillion there. We rented it and It was really beautiful. With Plenty of space we had people coming in waves. Everyone went pretty smoothly. The park is big and nice
This Park was absolutely amazing. This was our first Family outing Since Covid. We were able to Social Distance and be to our selves. We had so much room for playing games and laying out on our Blankets. We will Definitely be back.
My grandkids had fun running around. The park was nice clean we really enjoyed our time there
Very nice park with a very nice playground! There are picnic tables to bring your lunch or food and lots of fun for you children at the playground area!
Its a really nice park, great place for a jog or run. Wonderful place to bring the kids to play on the playground.
Excellent park for a quick walk or run. It has low hills that might challenge some. Atmosphere is wonderful, peaceful and pleasant. This park has a wonderful kids playing area, little league stadium and excellent soccer fields.
The park itself is beautiful and well kept. However the ponds are over-run with turtles. Went fishing there and the only ones that would bite were the baby brim/ bluegills. They wouldnt barely cover my palm. Anytime the hook would land in the water, before the baby fish bite, the turtles would swarm the hook and take the bait and/or accidentally get hooked. We released the unfortunate turtles back into the pond due to not having the correct license available to keep them. We do have a fishing license but not for amphibious critters. Will not be fishing here ever again. Unless youre wanting to fish for turtles.
A beautiful park to have a picnic, walk, jog, or bring your kids to play. Parking space available and benches to sit...
Been going there for over 20 yes. My wife and I take our dog there to walk and play. Its a great place, nice walking path and a lot of open space, I think that the ponds are overlooked and need to be cleaned up the back pond up on the hill needs dragged out to clean up fallen branches and trees.
I took lots of walks in this park when I was in irving. Its clean, its beautiful, it has a water fountain too. You can also sit on the benches to read or relax. You can walk, you can run, you can exercise. Generally its relaxing and calm.
It is such an awesome place to visit. It is small but lovely
Very good park for walking on rolling terrain.
Park was dirty. Took are Grandbabies, and too many mosquitoes, tables were nasty, filthy, looked like they hadnt been cleaned for a bit, a while. But kids still wanted to play.
Beautiful and spacious. I love the walkong trail. My kids love the park(pre covid). Very clean and well maintained.
Nice walking path less than a mile around but very peaceful theres two ponds a playground and plenty of picnic tables
As a local realtor I love checking out parks in the neighborhoods I am working in. This one is nice, plenty of parking, even an area to have parties in.
Nice place for a stroll. Playground for the kids, walking trail, benches, restrooms, and what appears to be a mural to handicapped children. There are little tiles painted by what i am assuming to be the local school children of the time placed all about the place as part of the decor and scenery. Heart warming honestly. There are also ducks and geese and turtles with a little pond and fountain in the middle, and another pond towards the back. May be subject to run ins with undesirables late night as the DART station isnt too far away but ya know.. its dallas take your chances.. but during the day its totally safe and a nice place!
It is nice. Place
This is a great park. There are trails, picnic tables, a nice size kids park, and it all seems well maintained. We brought our dog and everyone was able to get some fresh air, and their energy out.
Loved it! Very clean and diverse!
The bathrooms are closed for the season. Kids almost got hit trying to get to the horrible port a potty. Other than that the park was good. It was a nice day. Lots of people and partying.
Its a good neighborhood park but not much else. Ponds need lots of cleaning and more than one duck!
Nice lil spot to chill
I loved the long length of the parks walking path. It is a very pretty and busy park. Youll feel safe both in morning and night.
Very clean and peaceful, have restrooms open which is good
Beautiful open park. Great for meet & greets, walking ur dogs, exercising.
Big open walking trails and huge playgrounds built even for kids with wheelchairs.
Beautiful and well maintained park. It has a really nice walking path and I see a lot of people with their pets here. There are a few places to rest along the loop.
Its very well taken care of. Easy access! I have my lunch there a few times a week.
1 of my favorite places!
Quiet and good... has a nice pond to walk around... and childrens pay area
I love it because i feel like their play area is safe for kids. i am not scared they will fall off a high platform. kids love it too. they always request to go to that park than the surrounding ones.
This was a great place for a birthday party. The gazebo area is tucked back and away from the street. Nice clean park.
Fun and clean. Took my dog there first time.
My kids love coming here. Always clean.
Field Needs A Little Work In Goal Keeper Area, But Overall Nice Place For A Run, Practice Or A Game
I love fishing here
Nice park.
Very nice and relaxing place. I often go there to take a walk or just enjoy the moon late at night. There’s something refreshing about it. If you have kids it’s a good place for them to play, there are playgrounds, swings and slides. Great for family time also since they are plenty sitting areas, grills and more to accomodate a casual picnic, walk or run alone or with pets.
This city park is surprisingly not very busy. ALL the equipment is in perfect shape, looks to be 2-3 years old. the design is full of ramps and climbing structures. We take our kids there to play hide and seek, because it has so many different features. there is a very nice, small pavilion for group picnics. There are also several grassy places to play. There are two different geocaches located on the park, for those into geo caching.
Beautiful park! I lived across the street from that park for 19yrs. No problems in that park. Safe and clean.
My field that i every Saturday used to play soccer with my team, nice field
Not a bad little park, however, for being named after the Cottonwood, youd think there would be some. Not a single one in the whole park. In fact, the whole place is sorely lacking trees of any kind, so shade is almost completely non-existent, including in the parking lot. Not a single space that is shaded. Also, some neighbors that border the park have backyards filled with junk. If I lived near a park, I definitely wouldnt want my junkyard on display. Park has potential, but needs some TLC for sure.
Amazing park
Great park for kids to play at. Has a big play area for the kiddos to swing on swings, slides, and enjoy themselves. Good park for walking or jogging too. Big parking lot. Alot of people walk their dogs, eat at seating areas, play catch, while others just relax in their cars.
Great place for a evening walk
My kids love this place
Awesome playground, plenty of room and a separate play area for the little kids. Have had a kids birthday party here and the kids said it was the best thing ever (and only $20/hr to rent the pavilion from the parks and rec dept)
Two large play spaces(jungle gyms &slides) for children, one geared toward toddlers the other toward older children. Well maintained equipment and minimal litter. Large gazebo area with multiple tables for sitting and/or picnics/ parties. Bathrooms are available but often closed, we rarely have to use them. Overall, we like the park and visit weekly.
Nice park
Lovely park, great for a stroll or picnic.
Big playground with plenty of seating and shade area. Long walkway. Soccer field next to it. Public restroom and plenty of parking spaces.
Clean, small very accessible playground and park. Bathrooms are usually closed for the winter, otherwise it would rate more stars.
Nice and newer park. When the splash pad at the other park is not on, we resort to this park. I love the 3 different types of swings they have. Great for running around and play hide and seek. I love that even though it’s a children’s park, the bigger size play area is even big enough for me so that I can play with my child.
It was a nice place!
Good home town vibe here!
Love it. Ther furnish doggie bags, always clean.
We daily use to take my kid at evening.we just love the park.
Kids love the playground, and after 6pm its nice to be outdoors since the weather its less hot.
Beautiful park, great pavilion. Had our company picnic here.
Great park! There are so many things to play on for all ages! Large parking lot and lots of space. It also has a large pavilion that can be rented out for special occasions. Only downside was that it’s so big it was hard to keep an eye on all my kids because they’d be in separate areas! I would definitely go back!
My dog loves it. I guess if shes happy/Im happy!
Its Beautiful nice and clean well kept
I was here to take a physical ability test for my job so I didnt focus on the park but it looked very nice.
They have two playgrounds, one for older and one for younger kids. For the most part the park is kept pretty clean. Trash does end up in the ponds, but not much can be done about that.
Super fun park lots of stations for kid to play on. Really safe and far from main road. Handicap accessible.
Very clean park. Kiddo enjoys there.
Love it. I always go to this park
Very good nice place
I have never entered a walking trail that played the most vulgar music Ive ever heard on loud speakers on the trail. After numerous curse words, I turned my 4 kids around and left with a determination to contact Dallas city park department.
Great park in Irving for little ones
Nice place
Its a great little park
Love this park great structure lots of trees great walking area.
We love this park! Great playground set for kiddos and lots of picnic tables and grills available. Only reason for 4 stars is the ponds are usually full of trash.
Nice park. Good community. Dont take a place like this for granted.
Its a good park to walk to
Very nice park!!! Kids loved it! Also an added plus is they have made it very very handicap accessible... Nice and clean!
Good park for kids and very well upkept
My kids and I love it. We used to live nearby this park and went all the time. Weve moved since but any time we are in Irving I will take them by. The playground is clean and there is a large and small playground for different aged kids. The bathrooms arent that great, but they are park bathrooms so you cant ask much. Im just glad they have restrooms there. Everything is pretty close together so i feel comfortable letting the kids roam and not hovering over them. Overall very clean and fun park for the family to enjoy!
Nice place for walk and for children to play.
Nice and quiet late At night
Nice park. Plenty of space for everyone.
Its nice decent park. Kids can enjoy
Nicely paved trail loops around. About 1/4 a mile total. Two ponds and a playground, baseball field, soccer field and 2 ponds.
Fair. Good enough for kids to have fun. Lots of trash and bathrooms were pretty bad.
Love it
I used to come here with my companion and walk and talk. We came back after 10years..... memories......
Wide open space. Expanded metal picnic tables. A walking track. Nice little pond.
