Beautiful facility with nice employees! Very fun place!
The renovations are nice.
Reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly. They have alot of amenities: family changing rooms, men and women locker rooms, concession stand, tables and chairs, they even offered swim diaper for my 1 year old son. BUT it needs serious updates. There was rust on pretty much all of the play equipment and even on the walls. Indy island is old but my family and I had a good time for cheap. Probably not going back tho until its updated.
Cool place to take the family. Especially, days where its cold outside. The only issue I had was in order to sit inside the pool area to watch your family there is a fee for non-swimmers. Might as well jump on in or enjoy watching them in the lobby through the glass.
Id go back, but Id definitely recommend avoiding peak times. The facilities were clean and the lifeguards were polite. The water was warm, which was nice! The person checking people in was taking her sweet time, and waiting in line was a challenge with a wiggly toddler. I didnt like how busy it was--no one can help that, though. It wouldnt have been as big of a problem except some kid vomited in one of the pools and so everyone crowded into the other pool.I like that this place is good for babies and children of all ages. Kids were having a lot of fun on the slides. Some parents were not watching their children closely enough, and the slides would get kind of chaotic as some children like to cut in line if they think an adult is not watching. The price was reasonable, and I was impressed with the concession stand. Worth a visit!
Love going there with my grandkids. Its a nice place to go to when its cold out to swim. They have slides and waterfalls. The water is warm. They have a snack bar but I think the prices are kind of high so I would eat before I came. It is cheaper during the week and a dollar more per person on the weekends. Price for swimming isnt to bad. U can also bring in water guns, noodles and arm floaties for the kids to play with. All in all not bad.
Overall, it was a good experience at Indy Island. The water was warm enough, but could be a couple degrees warmer, as could the air temperature in the building. The lifeguards are very vigilant, but polite. They were doing an awesome job of maintaining order. It was only $22 for 2 adults and 2 kids and thats a bargain. Concession food is decent enough and you can pay by credit card, which was nice.Like other reviews stated, the locker rooms need some attention. Im not putting my belongings in those rusty things. We will be back for sure!
Kids had a blast!!! The big slide was fast, little kids area was nice, lifeguards were definitely on top of all horse play to keep it safe for all. The staff was very very kind. Kids have already asked to go back.
My daughter loved it. We went for a friends birthday party. All the kids had a great time. Im not a huge fan of sitting behind a glass wall while my kid is in a pool...
Better for smaller kids, water does not get deeper than 3ft. Many features could use some updates. Lots of stuff is looking a bit rusty. They say all kids under 9 should be with their adult the whole time, but there were random kids everywhere not being watched by anyone other than life guards.
Reasonably priced. Staff friendly. Facilities clean, but parts of it are badly in need of renovation. The kids play/slide area is rusty and jagged in many places. Womens locker room- many things are broken or worn out. Worth what I paid to get in there ($5 for one adult and a free child under 2), but next time well probably go elsewhere.
Oh my God my children had a blast place is clean and well-maintained
In the shallow it is peed in. but there is a deep part that is good and a huge slde
Nice place. Its definitely dated, but was great for my young kids. Pool playground area is zero entry so my baby can sit and splash. The deepest it got in the kid side was 3 ft, so my 4 year old could touch the bottom throughout. The locker rooms have definitely seen better days, but for the price it was a great experience.
Fun place, however very dirty and poorly kept. Rusty slides in the pool... Tetnus shot should be required.
My grandson loves coming there all winter
Its affordable, not as big as I thought! Have a small slide for the toddlers so that was great! My Children kept complaining that there eyes were burning, but overall they had a GREAT Time! I feel like the Lifeguards should of had on swimsuits/ trunks instead of Jeans and Tennis shoes! Overall for the price its a Nice Place!
Awesome place but dont understand why indy parks dont upgrade there kids area has rust all over it
This is a fun place for kids. The prices are reasonable, and they have proper lifeguards on staff. The lockers in the womens locker room are rusted. The drains were clogged for all of the showers. The showers are open, with no privacy. There is a room to host parties if you care to do so.
Its affordable fun for families. The facility is well staffed and clean.
The children had fun but man I tell you there are some terrible children in this place. I had to protect my girls from being drowned by a bully multiple times. Parents were nowhere to be found, so for me not so fun but they enjoyed it.
Indoor heated pool with slide and sprays for kids of all ages with all different depth levels even just a few inches for tots to about 4 feet. The non heated pool is good for adults swimming laps. They have free life jackets and several on duty guards watching over kids. Small concession stand for drinks, hot dogs, nachos, candy. Machine for popsicles. They raised their rates in last few years and are starting to charge adults admission even when they arent swimming(ridiculous). Still reasonable prices.
Small indoor water park. Great for young children and toddlers. Lap pool is also present for older children or adults. Hot tub is closed consistently.
An Eastside cornerstone for people of all ages. This Aquatic Center is located at Raymond Park Middle School in Warren Township. I grew up coming to this facility and it seems like it has changed at all. With that being said, it could use some remodeling/updating, but as it is located in a lower socioeconomic school district, funding is lacking for this. On the upside, staff is courteous and helpful. This facility offers swimming lessons for children and various group exercise classes for adults. There is a yoga class on Tuesday and Thursday. There is water aerobics classes on Tuesday and Thursday as well. I know the fee for the water aerobics is $3 per class. This is a steal compared to other water aerobics classes in the Indianapolis area.
I hosted my niece’s birthday party here and it was really nice! The kids loved swimming in the big pool and the lifeguards did amazing! I will definitely be back and I recommend this center to everyone!
Staff was very nice and it was much cleaner than the last time I went. The chlorine Wasnt bad either. I do wish the hot tub was working and the pool could have been a bit warmer but it was a great day with my grandkids.
Great place for young children to play in the water during the winter months.
Went for the first time for water aerobics class was a great experience
Its amazing so much to do, really fun !
Very nice indoor pool facility. Nephew had his bday party here and he and his little friends absolutely loved it! The party room was spacious and the staff was all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
This is a great place to take the kids for a pool time break. They have a cool water park attraction for younger kids and a lazy river and full size pool as well as water slides. Great summer fun !!!!
Decent price to swim, but they do use strong chemicals in their water. It can really sting the eyes, even if you dont put your eyes in the water. Also, the temperature in the kids pool area is great, the bigger pool, with laps and volleyball is very cold! Nice hot tub.
Great place nice people affordable 5 stars
I love this place for the price. You cant ask for more without a price tag. Staff is nice. They could have more concession choices.
The people at the desk was very friendly and helpful.
Fun for a afternoon getaway! Very affordable. The bathrooms & locker room could had used a little more attention but overall very good place for family day out.
Cool place. Loved that it was indoor bc it was soooooooooo hot today. Nice 15 ft toddler slide and a lazy river (more like a horse shoe) area. And a separate pool area. Kids had a blast and it was cheap. Locker/bathroom area was kinda gross needs better drainage
Awesome time for the family! The big slide is fun for adults too!
Could use a little bit of work. Paint is chipping off alot of the structures & the whirlpool was not working. Could expand hours of operation which may help with the overcrowding.
Its mainly for kids and toddlers. If you are a teen and really dont know how to swim in deep places this is NOT the place for you! I really dont know how to swim that well in deep water so I asked for a life vest. The lifeguards dont care about you. I asked this one guy with blonde hair who was a lifeguard there for help and they didnt even help and just keep walking looking down at the water. I had to struggle!! // I went up with my man to go on the big yellow slide. I wasnt trying to go down the slide because I hate heights. One of the lifeguards whom has black hair was on his fidget spinner and giving me an attitude saying I couldnt go down with a life vest and I told him I wasnt even planning on going down and he said I HAD to get down then. Lifeguards are mostly white guy teenagers and if youre a girl stay safe and cover your bum because they look. THEY CANT MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS. My opinion I think they lowkey racist well the lifeguards who were on duty during 10/18/17 around 1-2 pm
It was closed down and the website said it was open. Drive 3 hours out of my way for it to be CLOSED
Indoor pool with slides. Could use some paint maintenance. Rust and peeling paint makes you wonder what else needs fixing. This majorly crowded pool was fun entertainment for out kids on a cold winter day. They didnt care if it was a bit run down.
Great place for kids 5-10 yrs old. Youre not paying much, but you dont get much either. Two indoor slides and a small splash area with some fountains.Went on a Sunday afternoon, two hours before closing. The family restrooms were dirty (overflowed toliet, trash on floor). The locker rooms were dirty, the lobby looked like it wasnt vacuumed in over a week. The pool area was warm and clean, not overcrowded. Lifeguards were attentive.
Took my 2 year old son and niece and husband there today and we had A blast the pools are nice and warm bathrooms are clean and there are 2 pools one with a lazy river and a huge water slide and the kiddy part has a mini water slide for the kiddos and the other pool goes to 6 feet I will defiantly be taking and going again best place ever
Kids had a good time & it is nice that they are able to fun & still have an actual pool area that’s the right height for them (they are 3, 4 & 5) but it is VERY dated & the bathrooms were not very clean at all & it was pretty early in the day . Most of the staff was nice but a lot of the life guards needed lessons is how to talk to young children & especially children with Austim etc . We had free tickets but probably won’t pay to go back simply because of how rude they were to the kids
Water temp was perfect. They have a fun little slide. Kid area with a play place. Worth the $6 to get in.
This place is ok. Locker rooms dirty and outdated. Kids like thr pool area though.
This is a nice kid friendly place to bring your family and have fun.
The activities held at this location were poorly planned and quite lame to be honest. My child was highly disappointed. As well as I especially since we had to pay to participate.
Fun for kids from about 5-10 years old. Water and room air were warm enough for everyone to stay comfortable.
Cheap not crowded and kids had a blast! Chlorine is a little strong but still well worth it. Food and drinks are sold here also and priced ok.
Been going here for about 15 years or more. We have never had a problem and have always had a fun time. A little pricey for birthdays but nice local family time.
Love the nice warm water on a winter day.
I go to Raymond park middle school and I come to Indy Island every Wednesday. It is awesome because we are the only Warren Township middle school that has a pool in it’s school
Warm staff, attentive lifeguards, the best instructor for water aerobics!
Great place to go swim
So broke down and busted. Could use major repair. Hot tub was broken...said it had been that way for years. Also said it would likely NEVER be repaired. Things are rusted. Not clean.
Awesome for the kids you dont have to be out in the heat. Clean as well.
It was just great, great life guards, clean facility, perfect for young and old alike, the way the floor slopes into the water going from 0 to 3 foot is just right for a non-swimmer and young children, the more daring ones who can swim were having a great time on the water slide, and even though I dont swim and dont like to be away from the side in a regular pool I wandered over to the sprinklers and enjoyed the water spouts. And, the price was right for a family to go spend an afternoon of fun in a safe atmosphere. Carrolle B.
Great prices and the kids had fun
In my opinion it is a very fun place for the kids but it looks very dirty the hot tub has it been opened for years and when I say years I mean the past five years that weve been coming the lifeguards dont really pay much attention as they should and seem to be rude when dealing with kids other than that I love bringing my kids here and probably will continue to bring them in the future just hoping for them to clean it up
Welp. Were never doing the underwater easter egg hunt again. The werent enough eggs. The kids only got to swim for 10 minutes. Theres only 1 table to redeem eggs. Plus we have to pay an additional discounted entrance fee in order to continue swimming starting at 12. The prizes are pretty much junk too. Added bonus: it was extremely overcrowded.
Great for younger kids. My 4yo can stand since the deepest in the kids area is 3ft.
Its great but the rule needs 2 be if there not potty trained then they cant come because last time I went I was there for 30min before this little baby boy peed on his self then everybody had 2 get out and we left cause they said it would take 2 and a half hours 2 fix
Good inexpensive indoor water park. My only complaint is that some of the kids area structures have a lot of rust on them.
Reasonable rates for swimming and water slides.Good rates for spring break kids camp. Can get VERY crowded and some of the clientel arent very nice at times.
Nice place for kids...just a little older.
Inexpensive indoor pool option. Fun water slide, a little crowded though
A bit crowded om the weekend but my girls always have fun
Great place for kids to swim indoors or to celebrate a little ones birthday party.
The place is a little dirty but still good inside pool.
Been there before but only in the summer because my nana lives right across the street but it is awesome
Its big place and they have nice water slide too.
The kids had fun on the slide but it was filthy! Pool water was cloudy with paper towels and other trash floating in the water. Locker rooms reeked of urine and the equipment was severely rusted.
Good place to swim good people life guards are on point and are attentive
OK just not what we anticipated, crowded.
Great place for childrens birthday parties and swim lessons!
Very clean andfun. Nice environment for kids and employees were very nice
We had an amazing trip! The amosphere is safe, fun for the children (and for adults!),and alwayse clean. Not only that but the staff is very kind, the price is amazing, and my kids and i love that its heated in the pool area. Also there is a snack bar, jacuzzie, and lounging area! This is definataaly a must go place any time of the year!
My kids had fun at this place
Expected more but a fun convenient location.
I have always loved this place but today was not a very good experience I had a bit of a problem and had to quit swimming and the situation really was not taken care of .I just hope my next time there will be better.
They offer swim lessons and party packages
Its freezing outside and the guards had 2 doors propped open because theyre hot its supposed to be that temperature for the swimmers my kids were so cold and the girl with the purple flower in her hair was so rude when i asked her about it!
Good place to go if the weather is bad outside
Closed their hot tub permanently milky looking water this new mayors party is all talk no action or manintance shouldve known with that old tennis shoes commercial.
Great recreational place family friendly.
Great place. Lots of people
It was really fun and it have slide
The jacuzzi has been down for over a year, the slides were closed. Only the lane pool was open. People had to wait. It was all bad.
Enjoyable fun
Pool still under construction
Great swim, lifeguards are vigilant
Great place for a party!
Very dirty facility, poor service and way over rated !
