Eagle Creek Park has long been one of my favorite parks around Indy, but up until now I hadnt yet tried out the Go Ape ropes and zipline. I was definitely missing out! It was a blast with a wide variety of obstacles and some that were even more extreme than I was expecting, specifically the final Tarzan Swing that caught me off guard with the amount of the drop and then then speed you were sent into the net. I loved the fact that it was self-paced, meaning this is a perfect activity in the era of social distancing where you can be outside in nature without having to worry about anywhere near you. It is on the expensive side, but I felt like the value I received was worth the price of admission. One thing to be aware of is that there is still the admission fee youll have to pay to get into Eagle creek Park separate from any fees for Go Ape.
Great experience, very fun! AMAZING STAFF!! Near the beginning of the course I landed badly coming off the zip line, ended up spraining my knee. Staff was very quick getting to me and addressing my injury. After icing my knee for a bit and walking off the pain. They asked me if I felt more comfortable sitting out or continuing the course. It’s my birthday and with just a sore knee now, I wanted to finish the course like a champ. They walked through the course checking up on me and even used a stopping device on the zip line so I could still finish out strong without hurting my knee any further and it really helped! Such a friendly staff and environment! Such a fun and memorable experience! Thank you to the staff that were so compassionate to me, you guys definitely made my birthday a great one! Definitely will be coming back again!
Great activity for the kids! They loved it! Tiring, challenging, and fun! Just make sure to wear something you dont mind getting dirty and bring extra set of clothes to change afterwards. Staff are professional and friendly. A few pointers: 1.Parking is $5 so we decided to explore Eagle Creek (might as well since youre there). 2.For gloves, better off buying theirs at $9 than buying at local store. Good quality gloves that you can keep for other things. 3.Register online for faster process in person
This is a great experience. Well trained and helpful staff. We saw beautiful sights especially since fall. The course took about 2.5 hrs.
A great time! Staff is very friendly, helpful and thorough. A great activity for something out of the norm and getting outside. Lots of fun and would highly recommend!
Julia was a great instructor! Had such a fun time at Go Ape! Definitely a work out and need some upper body strength at times. You can get through the course without much physical endurance, but can’t be too out of shape. It’s fun being up in the trees. They care a lot about safety, too, and will always be paying attention making sure you’re doing things right! They’re also doing waivers electronically which rocks!
Great place. The staff was positive and helpful. It is definitely more of a fall think if like me your asthma goes crazy in high humidity. Still the staff did a great job on checking on me etc. I appreciated all of them
Took my cousin to GoApe as a last adventure of summer right before she starts up school again. We went on a weekday morning, so it wasnt crowded at all. Even though it was warm out, it was shady in the trees and they had lots of water available at stations on the ground. Cabin manager and instructors were very friendly and helpful. You start out at a lower training site that way you feel safe once in the higher trees. At the first long zip line she was a bit nervous, but by the end of the course they were her favorite part. Go Ape is a great way to get outside and try something different.
This was so much fun, it was like being a kid again on the play ground. Oh and super safe, they train you well
Had a blast!!! It was a fun group of strangers our instructor was I think louella (sorry if I butchered your name but she was a sweetheart and very patient because it was my partner and I first time but we will return
Great experience.Awesome staff
Wow! This was awesome! Friendly and informative staff. Clean and well run facility. The training was detailed and I felt safe. Staff patrol the area to be sure of safety and help with any questions. If taking kids (only 10 and above!) be sure to check the height requirement as well. Also, I would ask for one of the guides to train the kids separate from the group to be sure they are focused!!!!
Safety is super important. You get a full safety spiel before you begin and learn how to use your harness ans clamps properly. The courses are designed to be fun and slightly challenging. -some courses even split off and give you the option to take a more difficult/easy route. Overall, very great experience.
We had so much fun!
Awesome adventure!!!!! Rachel was an excellent instructor! She was very thorough in her training. If you had a dream to be an American Ninja Warrior, this might be for you!!! You have to not be afraid of getting a little dirty. Sometimes it can be frightening, but it will help boost your confidence if you let it. It is a workout! But my group had a blast!!! I will definitely tell everyone I know and I do plan on returning again in the future!! Thanks Eagle Creek.
Very fun and family oriented.
This was a ton of fun!
It was an amazing time. Will go back.
We had a blast! We went on Memorial Day and while it was busy we didnt feel too crowded. The staff was very friendly and easy accessible if help was needed. Fun for a date day, but couldve a fun family thing as well! Recommend wearing clothes you dont care to have ruined though. 10/10 would recommend!
As one rather afraid of heights, this turned out to be a fun adventure for me. At no point did I feel unsafe for my 11 year old son or myself. Also, the staff is amazing. Our instructor, Sarah, was about the coolest person Ive ever met. We will definitely go back.
Great experience even on a hot day because you are covered by the natural treetop canopy. They offer free water between stations. The guides are extremely nice. We had Shelby. She was super informative and very sweet.
Great work out adventure!!!
Call ahead or go online to schedule tours during COVID.
Such fun! Upon arrival you go through about 15 minutes of training, then a guide takes you out in the trees to start your journey. There are four sections of the course, each getting higher in the trees and a bit more challenging. I honestly thought this would be difficult, but it isnt. And the tethering system is so secure that you quickly forget about any idea of falling. Safety is a strong emphasis here. We took gloves, but really didnt need them. From start to finish it was about two hours. But if there is thunder, expect a minimum of and extra hour. Thunder causes and evacuation of the woods back to the office, then they will not take you back out until a half hour after the last instance of thunder. The harness tends to slowly pull down your shorts, so a belt might be wise unless you want to readjust all day. They also give you a discount coupon for a return visit at the end. So much fun, and good for kids as long as they make the height requirement.
This place was amazing. I went with the fear of heights, so I chose to go first out of our group of 16. And Im so glad I did. I wasnt expecting it to be a full ropes course. But it was so cool. I felt super safe up there. And the staff is so amazing, Sarah, especially. The course gradually gets higher as you go, but you dont even notice...seriously! Im so thankful for this experience!!!
Instructor Sara was so extremely condescending, it almost took the fun out of things. She’s the one with all the piercings and the short red hair. She shouldn’t be working with people if she’s going to be THAT RUDE. I will never return to go ape because of her
The kids had a blast. Too short but still fun.
Way awesome! Very patient, clear instructions making my fear of heights manageable so that i could enjoy the day with my daughter! A little pricey i think unless you have a coupon or Groupon but overall very cool experience. Take your ! Beautiful scenery of Eagle Creek especially looking out while your in the tree!
I got over my fear of heights here. Thats why I went. The first course was hard for me but by the time I got to the fifth course, I wanted more!I brought my son and daughter with me. Both enjoy video games and hisss at the sunlight. So, really, I FORCED my son and daughter to go with me. They ended up having fun too! It was actually nice to be outside and have them put the electronics down. Parents: kids telling you no, I dont want to go will eventually learn to have fun here by the second course. Two birds, one stone. Having the kids outside wins by a long shot but conquering a fear is also awesome.
I was given a different harness then the rest of my group with no explanation. After going on one of rope challenges i noticed my harness kept making me go backwards, almost upside down.I made it to the last challenge and knew with my harness it would make that last rope challenge almost impossible (i didn’t feel safe)There were no instructors around, i asked some people how they got across and they said they just sat and pulled their way over.I started going and immediately my harness wasn’t holding me up right even as i tried to correct it the way we were told.I got to the middle and was not safe! I screamed for help and NO instructor was around to help! I kept falling back, i did not know if the harness was meant to keep me in if i went upside down since they didn’t address that at the beginning.I then pull my self across, got very bruised and was bleeding. When i went to the office i said i do not believe my harness was on correctly. They said it was but my harness was different ( which i noticed) and that it was up to the instructor to give the harness out they felt was best. Every one else had a “seated” harness and i had one they said would make me “flat”. I asked why i was given no information, no instructions on how to go through the corse with a different harness. They guy said he did not know. They took a picture of my arm, and that was it! Now my arm is very hurt and painful and i wasn’t even given an apology! All because i was given a different harness that i should of been told how to manage and go through the corse with. This is about safety!
A truly amazing adventure! One that I highly recommend. The staff was very thorough, professional and patient. The experience was so much more then I had imagined. I felt extremely safe while still definitely being outrageously pumped, wild and free! Give it a try and Enjoy !
Jamar was our instructor he was amazing and super helpful. Loved it great date place
This was so much fun I swear. They teach you how to hook and unhook yourself from the lines. So pay attention because no one will be up in the trees to help. Have to conquer your mission to finish.
Awesome place to go if you want to experience an adventure of a lifetime. Myself and a friend of mine went to the full length adventure and ended up coming home with all body pains It really does test your physical strength. Yours adventure was awesome with a mixture of various adventures like ziplining. Definitely worth its price. And the staff was awesome.
Definitely harder than I thought! Fun day though
Had so much fun here as a spontaneous trip with my 10 and 12 year old children! It helped me with my fear of hights and really built my kids confidence! Will definitely be coming back! It was so much fun, you should join the tribe.
Definitely plenty of fun!!! The obstacle courses are just as fun as the 5 zip lines. It might be a bit challenging for someone that isnt in shape or strong enough to hold at least half of their own weight. Absolutely gorgeous scenery and the staff is great. Nicole was very thorough, funny, and friendly. We had an amazing time!!!
This was a surprise trip planned to start out my bachelorette party and it was SO MUCH FUN! For anyone seeking a little adventure, Go Ape offers the perfect place to do this. Our tour guide, Georgia, was fantastic and she did an excellent and thorough job of describing all safety features and risks prior to letting us begin. The 11 in our group had never zip-lined before but managed to do all of the sites with no issues & learned easily due to the great instructions we received! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a more exhilarating daytime activity, we will be back for SURE!
We had a blast! This experience exceeded my expectations, and was definitely worth doing! The courses required more physical activity than I thought they would, and were challenging in some areas. The only thing I was concerned about was that it was self-guided, which seems like a liability to me. I’ve gone on another zip-line tour where we had 2 guides with us at all times, one to hook all of the equipment up and another to catch you at the end and unhook you. In Go Ape you are trained at the beginning and the instructors make sure you’re able to use the equipment, however after that you’re on your own and the staff is roaming on the ground. I felt confident in me and my husbands ability to use the equipment, but if we had kids with us I probably would have felt uncomfortable with that situation.
Good time
For the adventurer! Great way to spend your day a little differently! Dont be intimidated! Anyone can do this, just go out and try. Highly reccomend!
Take the Aleve before hand if your over 40. Thank me later! Awesome !
Great service!
Great entertainment and exercise and outdoor fun at Eagle Creek park. Weve done Go Ape here twice. Its a lot of fun and just the right level of challenge. Very safe. I never felt unsafe. The only problem could come about if it is crowded. Some groups might have one particularly slow person and it becomes awkward or impossible to pass. Likewise, if you want to stop and check out the scenery, you may feel compelled to keep moving if it is busy. Therefore Id recommend coming during the week, instead of the weekend. If your child is in the younger age group, even though they are allowed to come, it might not be as enjoyable, it might be better to be about 12 + years old.Overall highly recommended
Great recreation venue for the thrill seeking crew. More tamely adventurous than some other locations but very entertaining for the person dipping their toe into thrills.
Excellent experience. Great fun. Do it!
It was fun and the staff helpful but the reality fun stuff was, like the Tarzan Swing were just too little. Okay of this might be I have done similar things in mountains where you can ferry really spectacular views. But I still think they should do more.
Awesome time
Very fun place! The instructors are very thorough and explain safety very well. A good adventure to gain confidence. Planning on going again soon.
Great experience. Well worth the money
Such fun. Took my two oldest kids and a friend there over spring break. It is more like a high ropes course than zip line but lots of fun. Took four of us an hour and a half to complete. Will be back!
This was so much fun! Date night for us but could be a great time out with older kids. 10 is the minimum age. Multiple rope courses with zip lines at the end of each. Difficult or “less difficult” route options on the courses. The Tarzan swing was a highlight. My kids can’t wait to be able to go after seeing the videos.
Awesome! It was so much fun! Sarah was our instructor, and she was fantastic!
Go Ape Zip Line and Treetop Adventures was so much fun. I had always been so afraid of heights, but being at this adventure really took the fear of heights away. The staff was friendly, informative, and helpful. It was very freeing and just what I needed to let go of some fear.
So so so so fun and worth all the money! The funnest experience we had here in Indianapolis.
So much fun! Instructors did great with instructions and make sure you are completely comfortable before sending you on your own. You stay hooked to something the entire time so theres no need to worry about fear of heights or anything. We got done in about 1.5 hours. Only thing Id reccomend is going during less busy hours. There can only be 3 people on a platform at a time so if you go with a huge group you can end up waiting for other people to get through the obstacle.
First time zip lining... Had a blast
We absolutely loved the Treetop Adventure! We had one person in the group who was nervous from the heights but she made it completely through the course without any issues. Highly recommended family friendly activity, we will be back!
Extremely fun and I recommend it, great activity and amazing experience.
Super fun and physical. I was expecting to just zipline the whole time, which in reality only happens at the end of each course. What I mean by course is that you have to cross from platform to platform on various bridges 40-60 feet in the air. At the end of each course than you zipline back to the ground. Unexpected and fun. Im terrified of heights and was a wreck the whole time. But I did it for my mom and I didnt want to be limited by my fears. Now if it was any higher, I wouldve watched from the ground lol.
Great training and company by Helen! Enjoyed the course and appreciated the attention to upkeep and safety of the course. I went at the first time of the day on a Thursday and ended up having the entire course to myself!
Expensive and difficult
Its fun, work, exercise, play. Amazing time
Great time with my adult sons and husband. Really wore me out, but worth every penny. Wear pants that can survive the zip-line landings; they are not always pretty!
It was awesome Im 60 and Ziplined for the first time. This was my birthday gift from my daughter. Ill be back. thanks!!!!!
Very professional. Clear with instructions. Extra help for those of us who needed extra supervision. The price was right and the staff is excellent!
This was something way out of my comfort zone. My husband and I did this together. I faced my fears and I was so worth the money. Would love to go back with our children.
Awesome time! Staff, equipment and training were top notch. Great way to spend 3 hours!
A ton of fun, even for a first time zip-liner. Tarzan swing was terrifying, but thats almost the point. I had kids and grandparents around all having fun.
I had some difficulty in the beginning, but the staff was a great help and I made it through the obstacle course. I am so proud of myself for getting through it and I will definitely recommend Go Ape to my family and friends. I plan on doing it again.
Awesome! My family of five went on this adventure and it was an adrenaline rush. We all had a great time and we would come back and do it again. This is not for the faint of heart but once you complete it you feel a great sense of accomplishment.
Well worth the price!! Fun adventure!
I think 10 years its too young to go on the course, specially without direct supervision from the staff. Had to leave the course for safety reasons. Definitely will be back without kids.
Was a last minute decision got right in staff was extremely helpful and we felt safe and had a blast the entire time was a very great time
What a great time! Challenging but empowering! My friend and I took our 10 year old sons! They were nervous and at times scared, but pushed through and even picked the difficult obstacle when given the chance. They learned to face a fear head on!
It was great so much fun
It was fun. A lot more rope courses than zip lines. Wish there was more zips!!
We had a blast! It is somewhat physically demanding but if you have a good attitude about it youll be fine! The second Tarzan swing definitely gets the heart pumping lol
My grandson loved this place
It was great! Perfect for the family after Thanksg6
Great fun with great friends.
Great entry level zip-line-ropes-course. Been here several times and also the location in Chicago and Cleveland. Be prepared to get sweaty, dirty and tired cuz this is a workout.
This tree to course is awesome. I highly recommend! Staff is awesome!
Was so much fun
One price for unlimited action! Includes zipline, bubble soccer, rock climbing, trampolines, and lasertag! Fun for all ages!
So exciting and refreshing experience. Highly recommended.
It was bananas! I am afraid of heights so the first course had me shaking but after that I was all good! This was fun and challenging, I loved it, will do it again! Psst, I recommend wearing gloves my hands were sweaty and hurting just a little on the last course, you can buy them while youre there for $5.
Loved it! Great staff!
What a fun afternoon with friends! Got my heart pumping - especially on the Tarzan swing!
Let my inner Tarzan out!!! Had fun swinging through the trees completing obstacles. The journey was rather physically challenging. The staff was very helpful and informative.
Professional and friendly staff, a lot of fun. Loved it.
