Come and celebrate daily mass with us at 6:30am. Also on every 2nd Wednesday of each month, there is an Adoration for men. The beauty and faithfulness of this church and its community will transform our faith journey.

If youre looking for an old Catholic church in Houston with an amazing solemn atmosphere, youve come to the right place. Very beautiful and the oldest Catholic church in Houston. Traditional masses with a TLM at 8 on Sundays and on other days occasionally too. Parking is okay, could be better, but there are two reserved lots for church parking on Sunday, the school parking and the church lot behind the church.

Not a good location to have your special mass ...a lot of money is paid for the location but photographers are unable to use flash or any type of lighting even though there is hardly any light... not worth the high cost if you will not end up with a good memory keep sake of your special day... so sad

Well it looks good, talks good, lots of appointments interior wise, nice cathedralesque building...but....NO ORGAN. The pitiful thing that serves as an organ is a wreck and nothing worth playing or fixing. There is a guy in town that offered them in public (on one of the city search webs) 2 magnificent organs with no takers...one was pretty much free and the other a steal of a price. Well what does that tell you about this church that they would turn down a once in a lifetime gift like that. One wonders???It could mean that no one has ever heard a real organ in the hands of a real organist in a building like that. Talk about holy and majestic and ambiance, and music...unless one has experienced a real organ in a building like that...you dont know what you are missing. So apparently the membership doesnt know what they are missing! If they had something like one of these organs, the church would double its membership and a lot of activity would surround this church as a result. As it is, it is sort of like a monks cell..just for contemplation.. which is ok, but what a waste of space and the lack of musical arts that would open the doors wider than they have ever been. This is proclaiming the Gospel to the community by the Mass and by the great musical heritage of the Catholic church and western civilization. Is Houston so lacking in energy that there is no one that would jump on this gift? Guess not.You can build baseball and football fields but just can get up enough drive to make Annunciation into what it should be. Sad, Sad, Sad.
