Great beach,bathrooms,many showers,canging areas,covered picnic tables, fairly safe water for kids of all ages BUT parking is a nightmare.Over the years seemingly no matter the time of day the parking lot is full and youll either need to wait for someone to leave or park a long ways away from the neighborhood. Sometimes theres near by street parking but theres been construction for a while making that unavailable. If you can find parking it is a lovely place!Some parts can be rocky so watch out. Have a picnic,get some sun and enjoy the amazing views!

Its really beautiful in this area. Theres bathrooms, showers, benches and tables, sandy beach. The downfall is the water sometimes can be very dirty looking and lots of trash wash up along the shore. The homeless population there has also increased. They usually just mind their business and collect recycling so its not too bad but you get the occasional loud ones.

Good beach, clean waters and restrooms and showers available. Restrooms and indoor showers all clean and maintained.

Enjoyed a beautiful sunrise here. One gem I was not expecting is the extremely old tree at the entrance to the parking lot. I dont know the name but it drops roots from its limbs as it grows. The one in the park was the largest one I have see since coming to the island.

A nice little park and beach. Parking is fairly limited so coming here early would be recommended.

The sand here is very hard and there was a lot of debris around. Soft waves for snorkeling or swimming if that is your interest.

Great park for a picnic and barbecue. Ample benches but still can get busy and crowded. Right next to Kahala resort so you will pretty much get the same view. Parking is very limited though and access can be difficult.

Waialae Beach Park is one you deliberately or accidentally go to since it is well off the beaten path of hoarded tourist beaches. We sought this one out to escape the crowds. As we expected, mainly locals used it. The white sand beach spread out beautifully with only a few beach goers. The park is nice too being a perfect place for a family picnic. I liked the arched foot bridge over the canal.

I love this beach because there are fewer people there but they are friendly.

Nice little beach thats a great place to stop by at sunrise or sunset as a side activity if youre in the neighborhood. Small park with some tables and grass areas. Seems to be some sandbars out in the water that some people found a way to walk to at low tide.

Great park for open fire grilling and picnics. Lots of benches, shade, shower and restrooms. Swimming areas (more sand, not rocks) are better if you walk further up Kahala Beach in front of the big estate homes.

Cool place to go swim or stroll along the beach if you can find parking .

Gorgeous blues green water, and one of the beat strolls on a beach Ive had to date. I will be back many more times

Nice park with one of the better restroom and sitting areas around. Very disappointed in the snorkeling though. Saw 1 fish. Literally.

This beach has limited parking. It has a nice bathroom and picnic table area. The water is shallow and low waves so perfect for kids. The sand is a bit rocky and it can be very windy. If you are lucky, there are turtles every once in awhile :) Great photo and fishing spot

Great for para sailing. Small beach that is rocky.

Very pretty but a little run down. Had some strong smells. Beach was clean and inviting. Caught several fish out of the canal. Not sure if I would eat them but they were fun to catch.

This beach was nice as it was really close to the house. We went on a Sunday and there were a lot of families there hanging out...picnicking and grilling. The view is great.

Had a Black Labrador that was afraid of the water...imagine that! This is the only easily accessible place in town that i could throw him into the ocean from the canal or bridge...

Good beach with not a ton of people. You do see a lot of couples taking wedding photos tho! Water is super clear and its not super deep.

Its ok for last resort We had one he before we had to leave for airport.

About medium size for the parks Ive seen. The restrooms are as usual, disgusting. The park has a small field that is attached by a picturesque bridge.

Always come here when Im bring my dog, a great beach for him to run around and burn some energy. Lots of street parking and beach accesses.

I will forever love this beach. I grew up not far from here. It hasnt changed in 50 plus years. Beautiful. Waialae Golf Course just across the street.

Plenty of parking and bathrooms present. Close to a hotel but plenty of locals walking their dogs and visitors stopping by.

If youre looking for professional pictures to be taken and dont know where. This is your beach to go to. So many spots of opportunity to take amazing pictures.

If there were more parking, it be 5 stars. Has a great view and nice places to sit and relax or have a picnic.

This is a very nice park, with excellent restrooms and changing areas. Its a nice place to swim, but the waves are gentle; the major surf action is a few hundred yards out. There are many picnic tables, four of which are under a very shady arbor. Parking is limited, however, so be early or prepare to wait for a spot.

Love hanging out here. Great place for picnics. You can bring your grill here. Tides are great. Almost always clean. Wonderful place to watch the sun rise and set

One of the best wild beaches in Hawaii

Pretty but small and over shadowed by hotels, there is also very little parking.

Nice enough beach with some fairly calm water and a great shaded picnic area. However there is alot of small rocks, shells, twigs and seaweed on the beach so if you have sensitive feet I would definitely recommend wearing some water shoes or socks for extra safety. Parking can be an issue but turnover isnt too bad.

This place is cool. They have kareoke and their MeowMosas are my fav!

A quiet local Sandy Beach 15 minutes bike ride from Waikiki on quiet roads with interesting things to look at along the way. Toilets and changing sheds on site.

Nice quiet beach with good facilities. Minimal parking in lot and tough to find legal street parking. Sand is very rocky and water is more for wading and wind surfing. Lots of debris. All in all good option for residents just wish more parking was available.

A beautiful beach, without the big crowds of Waikiki, I came here to attend a friends very small and intimate wedding on this beach. The sandy beach was practically deserted, and the wedding ceremony and follow up photos were easily performed without having to manage onlookers or photo bombers! Its adjacent to a park with an attached parking lot, so parking is not an issue either.

Its a small park with a river running through it. There are restrooms. There are changing and showering areas. There were also a lot of couples taking their wedding photos at the beach there. I saw at least 4 sets of couples and photographers on the beach at the same time.

One of the few beaches that hasnt been overun by tourists and tour traffic. Small, Quiet, Clean, not staffed but the staff that cares for the Beach and Picnic areas, are friendly and attentive to thier job keeping this place clean and nice

Solid beach with good facilities, a bridge, connection to The Kahala Resort, wonderful views, and even a tiny little island. Parking can be a pain (relatively small lot), but it can certainly be worth the effort to make it onto the beach here!

Its a fantastic beach, nice view and good to play with friends and family.

I go there to shower and have dinner. Its been really nice to sit some where until 10 pm to relax.

Not the nicest beach. Its a small beach that sits in front of apartments. The beach has quite a bit of debris and the water is not very blue so it doesnt make for a good beach for a wedding. There is a cute little man made island nearby.

Love this spot. So quiet and calm water. Good spot to bring the family. Open park area to let the kids run around and a beach with plenty of room. Park has bathrooms and showers.

Been here playing tennis for over 15 yrs as a guest. Great club house for members only.
