Nice to for college dorms. But sucks because one of my favorite restaurants is now gone. It was a very cool place to meet and eat. Looking forward to see what it will be like in the coming future.

Very iconic place to visit. They still have the original elevator indicator on top floor. U can view 360 degree of downtown Hawaii harbour. On the day like today. Every photo shot looks amazing.

Since Hawaii Pacific University bought the place out, the restaurants that I used to love to go to are now gone. Theres only The Old Spaghetti Factory, Teapresso, a mini mart, and a taco/burrito kiosk to the left. Everything else is college related for HPU.

I love stopping there. Theres all kinds of shops, and Id like to go to the Spaghetti Factory to have a dinner. At night time the tower is lit up. Its beautiful.

We visited the Aloha tower at night after everything was closed, which in my opinion was the best time to avoid crowds and take some awesome night pictures. Overall nothing too exciting, but still a cool place to visit if youre touring around Honolulu. You can pay to park right across from the tower, or drive further down the road if parking is full. Since it was night time parking wasnt an issue. If youre going just to take pictures, you do have a fifteen minute grace period to park and take your pictures without any fees!

I did not walk around the tower but it looked nice and lots of people were walking around the area. Our cruise ship was docked next to the tower. Lovely area in downtown Honolulu, lots to see in the area was able to walk around or hop on a bus to go farther.

This place could use a little bit of remodeling on the inside, but its very cool. There is a guard who just sits down on her phone and doesnt even care whats going on, but regardless there is a small elevator that takes you to the top. There is little to no people here, so you get to enjoy the great view in peace.

I always love Aloha Tower. The views are fantastic. I also love how they light up the tower with different colors.During certain hours of the daylight you can actually go up and visit the tower. It is still somewhat hard to believe that this iconic building was once the tallest building in Honolulu. I have many good memories there as well.

This historic landmark has gotten quite an upgrade in recent years. Hawaii Pacific University has invested an enormous amount of money in this area, there are numerous shops restaurants and sights to see, including the Aloha tower itself which is accessible via elevator. From this vantage point Honolulu ports, the city skyline and residential areas are visible. This is also a port for luxury boats and cruises. If you make this a destination definitely take the elevator to the top of the Aloha Tower.

There are a lot of good bars in the area, and the views in and around are worth a peak at the least. I definitely recommend visiting Hooters if youre of age for a drink. I recommend going there even if youre not, the food there is good and reasonably priced.Going upstairs isnt always an option, but you can go to the pier and watch the ships rolling in or out, or if you time it right you might even be able to watch a show for the tourists outside of Nashville. Either way, fun place to visit!

This page and review are solely for the Historical Landmark known as Aloha Tower. I spend many lunch breaks walking around this building, often going to the top. Aloha Tower was once the tallest building in Hawaii; although eclipsed by the skyscrapers downtown, the position of the observation deck still offers a lovely view of the harbor and buildings around. One of the best things: its one of the only tourist destinations thats FREE. Take the elevator to the top floor for picture opportunities in four directions. One can see Diamond Head and Waikiki; downtown and mauka; the harbor and mountains; and nicest of all, out to the ocean. Its also a fun place to watch planes take off at the airport, especially the fighter jets who clearly love their jobs. The tower also has a clean public bathroom if one needs a place to stop and relax.

The Aloha Tower is a bit like a living time capsule among a modern university campus. Taking the elevator all the way up to the top allows for a stunning 360° view of downtown Honolulu, ships and the planes flying in and out of the airport. A few shops and restaurants are mixed in with other campus support buildings. A very unique feel. Take a tiny step back in time!

A cool piece of history in the harbor that everyone should visit. The ten story tower has lots of history, 360 degree views of the harbor, city, ocean and airport. It is also free and there is a quick elevator ride to the top, so need to worry about stairs (if you are againat3stairs that is).Parking is NOT free. Expect to pay $3-20 for parking, depending on how long you stay. There are some shops nearby that are nice also, but do not expect a full blown mall. The tower is clean and being a famous landmark is a bonus. Highly recommend you take 10 minutes out of your day and explore this piece of history!

The security guard was really nice and the area is a nice college town type of area, which is perfect for hanging out! The downside (and the reason for 3 stars) being that once youre at the top pf the tower its really small and crowded, with not much room for picture taking. Still worthwhile, just dont expect much

A cool spot to check out. Not much to do in the surrounding marketplace, as it is a bit run down. However the view from the top of the tower is really neat because you can see everything from the ocean to Downton Honolulu. Worth the 30 minutes or less it takes to do. Parking isnt the greatest as you have to pay and the lot is small, so maybe park downtown and walk over. The elevator is authentically dated, but still safe. Worth the trip.
