Dirty and wet, don’t forgot hiking shoes and pants. Easy for kids, we was with 9 old. Full loop - 1 hour.

Exaxtly what I was looking for. Muddy. Long enough (about 2 hours). Scenic. I did it on an overcast day so it wasnt too hot. Changing scenery throughout.

I wish the different trails could be better marked / indicatedThe loop itself would take you about 1:15 min if you focus on keep on goingTo be honest I didn’t see many spots where I would stop to enjoy the view or to take picturesParking is an issue so please make it there early enoughThe trail is well shaded for the most part

This hike is actually pretty fun! Its heavily trafficked so youll run into several people. Dont expect any super great views, this is more of a workout hike rather than point to point views.

If youre looking for a very good workout and connecting with nature while enjoying a spectacular scenic view, you must hike this trail. I went with a good friend and we were challenged with navigating the terrain as you first venture a long and somewhat gradual incline. Be prepared and bring water, fruits, sunscreen, repellant, and most importantly good hiking shoes. We enjoyed very nice cool breezes in the shade as we stopped to cool off and then were later rewarded with a slight rain mist that just helped cool us even more. That was probably the best part for me. But with rain comes mud and this trail can then become a bit challenging as you navigate your way back down.If I lived in Oahu, I would make this trail part of my workout routine.

Nice nature trail without the crowds. Muddy, but worth the price for peace and quiet.

We love this trail! It is well taken care of, lots of information about the valley, eco education and cultural signposts give the visitor important information on sustainability, native plants, and the importance of maintaining care for the aina. We should have hiked earlier in the morning, but still found parking. We will definitely return! Our dogs loved it too.

We went there after a rainy day and it was very slippery and muddy, which created a dangerous hiking experience.
