We had our wedding at Sea Pines Resort, at the Liberty Oak. It was absolute perfection. It was gorgeous, even more beautiful than I was expecting and more beautiful than the pictures I’d seen.Aside from that, the staff was impeccable. Our Sea Pines wedding planner was Tracey Mancini and I can not say enough wonderful things about her. She was so kind, professional, and really on top of everything! And then we had our dinner at the clubhouse. It was delicious! And the staff had everything covered. No one had to wait a minute for anything they wanted. We truly couldn’t be happier. They made our wedding day perfect, and we would highly recommend Sea Pines for anyone’s wedding day!(They also made planning an intimate wedding so easy with their wedding packages. All the important stuff is included. Love it!)

Such a great place to vacation! Ive been here almost every summer for about 20 years now! Amazing!! Water at the beach is very warm, and the area is beautiful, great to bike around. My family is going to definitely buy a boat and a house down here in a few years once the kids graduate. Such an amazing place, and I definitely have to have a summer house down here.

First hour was slow so he volunteered to stay out after scheduled time as sharks started being more active. Boys cant wait to do this again soon!

The resort is nice. It is well kept. They only get a 1 star because we were not allowed to reschedule our trip until it was safer to travel to South Carolina. Our family was not comfortable coming on this milestone birthday trip since South Carolina is now listed as one of the Covid hotspots. We were in hopes we could reschedule and come at a later date when the virus calms down. That was not an option. If we chose not to come, we would loose our deposit money. During a pandemic, more flexibility should be provided to travelers. This is my opinion.

I travel to HHI annually with my family, along with my sisters families. 90% of the time we have stayed at Sea Pines. First time going through Sea Pines Resort itself versus a travel agency. Sea Pines changed the benefits, and we found it was more beneficial going through their site directly. Stayed at 36 Willow Oak, everything was fantastic. People were friendly enough, had a weird run in at check in, while in line the greeter in the front wanted to see my email registration to ensure I was at the right place? Maybe because I am a person of color in a sea of caucasians, I dont know. Just a weird question when youre standing in line.

We stay on Sea Pines generally where its very quiet very laid-back with lots of walking and bicycle paths. The beach is outstanding and lots of great places to eat very close by. This place was amazing with all the huge trees! We were there for a 10 day bible study class and the house we were put in was so beautiful! We had to actually look to find a hidden room in the little locked up room outside next to the pool. It was a bit of a quirky room but, it worked for us all. The check in building couldve been better manicured for this type of resort. It is literally a hidden away place. We had to use GPS everywhere we went. Im directionally challenged so I didnt even go to the beach, I was nervous Id get lost. Very nice meeting room, as well.

Beautifully maintained, gated community. There is a charge for simply entering the area but it is per car and is minimal.One-day cruises can be found at different areas on Sea Pines... from mini-Marine Biology tours ( Great for the kids and the kid wannabes! ) to romantic Sunset Dining cruises.A great place for a Take-a-break Day away from the beach... especially if there are sunburns that need a little healing time. The area is full of HOAs run by very old and pretentious people. They ruin any chance of anyone having any sort of real fun child or no child. I have been in several homes for service issues and all the people here are ancient, and possess little to no appreciation for young people. They complain constantly about their neighbors whom which they are constantly spying on. Everything is overpriced and surrounded by traffic that will leave you stupefied. Beaches are very ugly with murky to muddy looking water and brown sand. This is because the shoreline is constantly washing away and they have to use this massive dredges to suck sand offshore and distribute it back on the beach. That is why you see the large pipe laid out during different parts of the year. There are much better areas with much better people to spend your time and money on.

Love Sea Pines - BUT - heres a big tip - dont book through Sea Pines Resorts . . . There really is no advantage to renting through Sea Pines directly when there are so many great AirBNB and VRBO available with the same amenities and sometimes better pricing. I spent 2 weeks here in October and 4 days in December for a family getaway and rented a townhouse from SeaPines directly. I did not appreciate the way I was treated by the reservations staff. They were very off putting and not the least bit accommodating when I had an issue with my reservation dates. I just expected more southern hospitality and sensitivity when dealing with a repeat customer. A few years ago I stayed for 3 weeks but rented through VRBO and all was well. Many great hosts out there and then you dont have to deal with the corporate number treatment. The new beach club and golf facilities are wonderful! The pools need serious updating - dated and not resort quality.

Our second season staying here. Very relaxing. Everything is top notch and upscale. Has private resort beaches, entertainment, water sports, bike paths, activities for the whole family. The restaurants are great and the atmosphere is fun. Biking around the island is by far the easiest way to get to places. We also suggest trying the kayak tours and the cruise to Savanna.

Beautiful resort, but the security guard we interacted with was horrible. Our flight was delayed and we arrived at the resort after 11pm. The security guard refused to allow us into the resort so we could get to our airbnb. He would not give us a pass to get in and treated us like we had threatened his family. Eventually his supervisor told him to chill out and let us buy a pass so we could go to bed. The older guy working evening shifts in the security shack needs to relax. He is not working security at a foreign military base. He has no reason to be so hostile towards visitors. I will NOT be returning to Sea Pines because of this gentleman.

Sea Pines is a beach resort...without beach access. You may be wondering how thats possible, so read this and ask questions before you book. There are 2 major beaches with parking at Sea Pines, the beach resort and Tower Beach. I dont include south beach as its narrow and small. There are plenty of walking trails into the beaches but absolutely no parking near these trails. If you rented a multi-million dollar house a few rows to the beach, youre good to go. If not, read on.Tower Beach is closed to all but residents and their guests - even if you booked with Sea Pines and have a parking pass, you cant use Tower beach. At the Beach Club resort Sea Pines property owners and registered guests of the sea pines resort have priority parking, but there are 50 spots only for the whole resort. Once these parking spaces are filled you must use the trolley bus from designated areas. Check the complaints about that hassle! You can not drop off or pick up at the Beach Club even if you are handicapped. The key words here are guests of the sea pines resort meaning you booked your vacation directly through sea pines, not AirBnB or with the homeowner. The overflow parking at the golf course HAS BEEN ELIMINATED.Why this is happening. Simply because sea pines wants its 20% rental commissions and doesnt want competition from homeowners who are using agents or renting out directly...so they are making their guests suffer the agony of trying to get to a beach. If you think you are going to park, wait for a trolley, herd your kids and gear coming and going to the beach with the crowds....well your thousands of dollars spent wont make that enjoyable.I predict that people will be dropping off passengers, kids, dogs, grandma near the entrance to the Beach Resort and eventually someone is going to die in a traffic accident. Then Sea Pines will will be party to a multi-million dollar lawsuit for creating this unsafe scenario and things may change. Until then, think twice about Sea Pines!

The idea that anyone would want to pay $8.00 for the privilege of driving in here boggles my mind and the fact that we had to pay it to attend dinner at our friends residence blew me away. Dont show up at the gate without cash or youll be sent away. Better yet, just skip it.

Have come to Hilton Head for Years, and stayed in Sea Pines more recently, with pleasant experiences. Its a big plantation, but doesnt feel crowded. Have stayed with a large group in a BIG house, and also stayed in villas, and each time it has been great! Harbour Town is a must. Beach is more accessible from certain areas than others, but Beach Club is nice, although a bit crowded. Everywhere Ive stayed has been very quiet, with easy access to Bike paths. Great tennis, golf, you name it. Of course, worth a trip to South Beach, with Salty Dof Cafe, etc.The gate and visitor fee keep day traffic down, and nights are really only busy at Harbor Town, but not bad at all.Not far from Shopping and dining outside the gates, and the Cross Island makes it a quick trip to the outlets or golfing off island, as well.

I have been coming to Sea Pines essentially my whole life with some gaps in between. This most recent space in time was about 5 years. I am disappointed in the new beach parking situation ($10 is absolutely ridiculous- it used to be $0!), and while the man driving the cart on Sunday was absolutely lovely, it would be nice if he had some backup. I get that we dont have to come here, and the reason that we still chose to is because the beach is great, and the island of Hilton Head has a lot to offer. The logistics of beach parking need to be sorted, though.

My family and I have stayed here for the past 24 years. We have stayed in hotels, resort properties, VRBOs, and everything in between at every time of year. VRBO or Airbnb guests will discover there are several things that are off limits to them. I compare it to going to Disney. Those that stay at the resort property get perks. Those that dont, dont. You still get to have a lot of fun and stay at an awesome condo on Sea Pines. But if you arent an official registered guest staying at a place booked through the Sea Pines Resort, you cant park at the beach club or swim at the Harbourtown pool. I understand why they are doing it, but it still feels like you somehow dont belong, even after throwing down some serious coin to stay. Anyway, Im not the fight the man type, so I will cry uncle and book directly through the resort next year. Sea Pines really is a wonderful place for making memories with your family. Mine are almost grown and these weeks at the beach wont last forever.
