Great location. Condos are older but in great shape. Everything you need for a week stay. Pools are nice and close. Beach is a short 5 minute walk through locked gate, across the street. We would stay here again.
A quick walk to the beach and bike/walking paths everywhere. I couldnt have asked for better location. The units were a dated, but were functional for our purposes. Loved the 2 balconies!
We have stayed here for the past 5 years and absolutely love it here. Home away from home with the beautiful ocean and fantastic golf at the Shipyard. My family enjoys being here better than any other place.
This resort was very comfortable and only .3 miles away from the beach, an easy stroll. Two pools, one large, one small with plentiful shade. Shipyard is great for walking,, jogging, and family biking. Nice people everywhere in HHI.
We have been coming to this property as owners for 30 years with no issues and great experiences. This experience was muddied by rude customer service at the front desk. Erin spoke to both my wife and I separately and she was rude. She was terse and dismissive. I recommend she be in a non-customer interfacing role. She was terrible. We called to see about early check-In and then again when I deleted the entry code and needed help the day of check in. Both my wife and I left with a very poor taste for what seemed to be trivial issues/requests..
Wonderful place just have to learn how to get in and out lol
First night staying at port o call through rci timeshare- had a roach in the king bedroom, crawled on my husband and it was massive.Next day, round a small one in the living room. Had pest control come out two times.... Carpet and place smelt dingy and musty. Had them come out and steam clean carpets, they did the entire place in 15 minutes... aka not a very thorough job. Place is very outdated and we left half way through the week. I would never ever go back. Also, their codes that management gave us to get in to our room, the beach access gate and then possibly switch rooms when the roach incident happened... never worked. Not one of them worked. Why wouldn’t you know the access codes to your own rooms/beach access? Very inconvenient that we had to call every time for this. Get it together people.
Weve been coming to port o call for many years very happy with the facilities and amenities. We look forward to coming and also experiencing the new and old on Hilton head.
Fantastic golf. Bike to beach. So many terrific restaurants
Very nice, convenient to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Great accommodations.
Best place in the world! Great pools. Tennis courts. Golf. We love the rooms. Grills for outdoor grilling. Full kitchens with appliances and other utensils. We come every year and wont go anywhere else!
We stayed in Cottage #35. It had a complete renovation recently with new furniture, new carpeting and new mattresses. Very nicely decorated. Great location with a short walk to the ocean.
Good location, older units. Didnt really like our 3rd floor condo. No view. Tiny balcony. Very LOUD AC unit running constantly. Elevator was over 100 degrees inside. Pool is mediocre. Okay for bikes and tennis. Would not stay here again.
Nice but needs updating
Great location had 3 bedroom which worked well. Close to beach and pools! Overall great experience
Stayed here 6 years in a row Location is perfect. Place is looking a little tired. Cabinets furniture etc is getting close to end of life.
Had a nice 2 bedroom timeshare on Hilton Head. Close to a lot of things. Unit large sleeps eight. Had 2 sofa beds, 1 king bed and 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds. 2 full bathrooms. There was a washer & dryer. Unit was very clean & well kept. I loved the outdoor patio. Nice pool area. Lots of walking, jogging and bike paths near by. There are bicycles for rent. Short walk to beach which was lovely. Beach was clean, Sandy and wide. A little bunny was sitting in middle of path. Even though early late February the path sides was a bloom with delightful flowering ground cover. We walked to the beach every day. We walked a lot of the paths. We especially like the walk along dune road. Loved the charm of the homes. Most of the island is very cookie cutter but these home so quaint yet so many large homes with amazing design. I got the feeling that being in the Shipyard area was good because of the beach. There are tennis courts and golf courses numerous. Lots of restaurants in area. Most people would use their car to get around. Most buildings and stores are cookie cutter, McDonalds and other fast foods are not their usual color nor is signage. We enjoyed our stay at Port OCall.
Nice condo very spacious perfect for a family and Grammy!
Cozy, quiet, fun activities, great 27 hole golf course, friendly yearly regulars and convenient access to all that HHI has to offer!
Great place to vacation! We have been vacationing here for 30 years. It’s really a great place for families. Biking, swimming in the pool, the wonderful beach, all in an environmentally beautiful and friendly setting ️
Lots of amenities, but unfortunately we do not use them such as tennis, golf, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Very spacious accommodations! Friendly staff and a pristine pool.
Happy hour with a smile... Us and the bartender, beautiful marina view.
Nice sized suites. Included laundry and kitchen. I went with family and friends. Two of the three of us had to get new door codes before even getting into our suites since they didnt work. One of the two phones in my suite didnt work unless you jiggled the cable. The door the laundry in my suite was falling off the rails frequently. There was communal grills which was fantastic. The grates were well kept, but the side trays to hold platters were bent enough that not all kept plates from falling. Overall a good experience.
We have been owners of a time share at Port OCall for over thirty years. Love it every time we go back. Unit 16 is in excellent condition. They constantly update the furnishings. New landscaping this year. Very clean. Highly recommend.
Been coming here for over 20 years. The condos are always kept up-to-date and clean. Staff is friendly as always, the pool is great, and the beach access allows a quiet, non-crowded experience. Theres a reason Im here almost every summer.
This was third time staying here over the holidays...we enjoy the units. Always clean, good furnishings and warm, clean water in the pools. Easy to find and wonderful location for your Hilton Head Island visit
Very well kept timeshare complex, clean and functional. There are 2 pools and 2 hottubs on property, very picturesque setting. Near the beach and near Sonesta resort and restaurant.
Great place to stay for a week or more. Great hot tubs, pool, game room, kitchens, floor plans, steam room. Close to great food options. Looking forward to coming back. Wish I was there today (full on snow & traffic jams at home...).
Great unit in excellent condition great weather fantastic location
3 bedroom cottage was a wonderful place to stay. Well equipped and very clean upon arrival. Staff attentive and courteous.
Wonderful summer spot! Pool is just a few steps from room and beach is a few minutes. The entire loca6at Shipyard Plantation is relaxing and beautiful!
Lovely setting with detached cottages, across the street from beach. Two pools and steam room. Private and comfortable. Close to all (Sea Pines, Shelter Cove, Coligny). Tennis center within walking distance.
Very wonderful
Come here every year, not crazy fancy, but a great place.
We love it here in our cottage. The pools took a beating this year & need the cracks to be fixed, otherwise very happy with our unit & the updates.
I stayed at a house in Port o call. It was really neat. Palm trees everywhere and a small moat like thing behind our house with alligators and turtles in it. Id love to go back. The house was very nice really relaxong.
Weve had this timeshare for 8 years. We come here every year and really enjoy it. Quick easy beach access. Clean unit. Responsive staff.
Unit is spacious, clean & well kept. Always enjoy staying with Port OCall.
Clean accommodation with friendly staff and wonderfully located to everything.
Everything was as advertised.EspeciallyLiked the I I sorry nest next over the tennis court.
I stayed at the Port of Call last August 2017. The facility was decent, it has started to show signs of aging and though it is close to the beach, it isn’t as close as some of the reviews make it appear. If you are lugging a bunch of beach chairs and coolers, just be prepared for a little hike. My main reason for the 1 star rating is for the ownership company “Palmera Vacation Club”. If you agree to go to one of their presentations – typically if it sounds too good to be true, it definitely is with this company. I was totally misled and scammed by a Palmera sales team of “Rob the golfer”, and “Bill the Closing Agent” Timeshares are what they are, but if you have a good product in a good location they sell themselves. There is no need to lie and deceive about the product you are trying to sell, but that is totally the opposite of what I experienced. First, I was told the current timeshare I owned would sell, and worst case scenario would be turned back into my timeshare company at a wholesale price. It would leave me owing a little towards the new Palmera property if that happened, but that was a worst case scenario. Second, I was told with the level I was buying in at, I could come down every year anytime that I wanted as long as I gave a few weeks’ notice. I asked how was that possible (“Rob the golfer” stated that with 4 properties (Coral Sands, Island Links, Port O ’Call, and Coral Reef ) in H.H. they keep a certain amount reserved for members, so groups like RCI never see the inventory). Third, I was told that with my Palmera membership, I could cancel my current RCI membership because Palmera paid that for me, “it was included in my fees”. It is a good thing I kept paying my original RCI fees, because I would have lost all of my accrued points (but something in the back of my head told me to pay them one more time). So are we now on the same page with this review? Your sales team of “Rob the golfer”, and “Bill the Closing Agent” whether it was company practice or an individual team method totally (and you can choose the best word, “scammed”, “swindled”, “deceived”, “hoodwinked” or in simple terms misled me). I am sure that the paperwork I signed was totally legal, but what is to be determined is IF YOU WILL MAKE IT RIGHT… Or if you stand by the tactics of your sales team of “Rob the golfer”, and “Bill the Closing Agent”. If you take away my negative purchase experience with the company I would rate this property as average due to aging.
Great had a great time
Great location with modern 2 or 3 bedroom accommodations. Nestled in Shipyard Plantation resort with beautiful trees, foliage and 18 hole golf course .
Lovely resort with very good amenities. Very close to the beach.
The private cottage I stayed in was very nice. There is a tennis club and a golf course as well. Beach access was a 5 minute walk and Coligny Plaza is about 20 minutes on foot. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here.
Enjoyed our week long vacation at Port Ocall. The condo had a full kitchen with everything we needed for the week. The beds were not very comfortable as they were hard, but this is a personal preference. Port o call is nice because they have the only private beach access in Port o call besides Sonesta.
Nice place, but could use some updating.
Excellent location. Decor could be updated. Great overall impression.
Resort and buildings are showing their age, but kept in decent repair; close to HHI main strip and beaches
Nice area. Rooms could use some updating
Stayed with relative owners. Really enjoyed the experience of golf, good food and relaxing.
The accommodations were excellent
Great location, easy check-in and nice employees
Great cabin like atmosphere. Cabin well furnished.
Great place.Customer service was amazing. I hope to be able to come back soon.
Great resort especially the old ladies next door dancing all day and talking all night
Short walk to beach. Quiet. Condo was excellent. Unsecured wifi.
Nice big rooms, kitchen was ok could have used a better supply of basics like salt, pepper, oil but other than that it was over all nice.
Port OCall was nice. We traveled there under our timeshare so I will not critique the resort on the 20 minute spiel where the concierge schmoozed us about things we should do/places we should eat. Its annoying though as one just wants to get settled already after a long road trip. The resort is widespread so it can be a challenge to find your way around the grounds. Suggest taking a walk around the area early to get your bearings straight. While the rain didnt play nicely, we rented bikes which was really helpful given that the beach, grocery store, basketball courts are far on foot, but so close via bike. The property was nice and well-maintained. Rooms are keyless entry so no one has to worry about misplacing keys. There are trash chutes in every building that made trash hauling simple since they do not clean rooms daily. One bad mark I must report is recycling, or the lack thereof. Naughty, naughty...Inside the unit was good. I think we were fortunate to have newer carpet which is always nice. Well-kept so that was a plus! All appliances and bedding we could want was available so that was a big score. A bad mark, but not a deal breaker, was the fact the top sockets of various outlets did not work. Just a nuisance.Pools were close and well-maintained. There is a beach that is about a 7 minute walk away that was not as crowded as Coligny Beach which is popular there. The Lazy River that is located at Coral Sands that id also the check-in facility. This was probably the coolest part about the property. Too bad we were only able to go once due to weather. The staff was courteous at check-in and the Activity Center. We did not interact with them outside of that except at the Lazy Rivers bar. She was nice, but it was so slow as there was only 1 bartender during Happy Hour. (I dont know if that is strategic or not. Works for the property, but not the customers who just want to have a drink and float in the Lazy River).I think thats it. Would love to go back if I didnt have 39 other states that I want to visit! Nice place!Oh, yeah. Check-out was so much of a breeze that we had to call and ask if there was anything they needed from us on the way out.
Love Hilton Head! Port OCall is a great place to stay at.
Amazing resort. Fabulous staff, great programs and events. Great pools, super fast access to the beach.
Having stayed in other properties on the plantation the cottages are a little out dated but very comfortable. Love the screened in porch. Close to beach, grills, and pools.
Wonderful communities in large Shipyard gated area. Miles of bike paths and beach access
Im staying on Barcelona, and its nice and cozy. Its not loud at night, and the cottages are pleasantly cool and dehumidified.
This is such a relaxing place. They keep it up real nice b
Tiny pool, why too far from the Beach. If you like golf you would probably enjoy it. It was also a disappointment to find out that golf carts are only allowed on the course but not in the resort. I shouldve done better research before booking, tried to council more than 30 days out and was informed that there is no cancellations allowed at Port O Call Resort.
Great vacation location.
Spacious Villas close to the beach.
Best place to stay with access to the beach, great amenities and great service
We have stayed here over 15 years.we live it
Was really nice. need to go back
