This place is so much fun! We have been several times and it is always a blast. Make sure you were warm clothes, after all it is snow. The temperatures really drop after sunset. If any of the snow melted during the day it will refreeze as ice and the mountain is super fast. There is an open fire pit to warm your hands and feet. The lodge is also toasty warm.The people that work there make sure that you have a fun, safe experience. The only thing that I do not like is that they take cash only. They do have an atm that charges Agee that you can use. In 2019 I think it is tacky, just up your price a little.

What an awesome place to be a kid again! For our Valentines/engagement weekend we wanted to do something different, we booked our little cabin close to this place, it did not disappoint! There was a wait but it was so entertaining to watch everyone that the time went by quickly until it was our turn, what a blast! Only thing we would suggest is the guys at the top of the mountain need to not smoke and not bicker with guest around, it kind of killed the vibe.

They staff was so nice. Great place to come! I recommend you come on a Sunday morning. Kids had a blast! The food truck staff was also great! Good prices and a great hamburger!

We had a fun time here today, we came on a Saturday which I’m sure is their busiest day of the week, when we arrived it was a 2 hour wait until our time to tube but it turned out to be like 45 mins thankfully so just a heads up, there was a DJ there playing music to help pass the time and plenty of snacks offered there to purchase and you can either walk your tune up which is quicker or wait to be brought up by a hook which is a longer line, all and all a fun day and your tickets includes 2 hours of tubing!

This with a quirky and interesting place. It was definitely fun and out of the ordinary! A little bit pricey for what it is, but, definitely more worth your while if you walk your tube up to the top instead of waiting for the lift. :-)

It is hard to provide a good review since the tubing venue was seriously crowded. 1-1/2 hour wait time on a perfect Saturday morning. If popularity is a positive point, this place is great!

What a blast! I will be visiting Moonshine Mountain year after year! Such a fun place for anyone! The tube slides were amazing!

They have three lanes to snow tube on, and plenty of fun figurines to take pictures with! The lodge was cozy with games and a fire and they had a fire pit outside. We went around 7:30 pm and it wasn’t very crowded.

Dec 26, 2019. Temp 51 deg-F @2pm. Clear. No participation. Man made snow limited to tubing surfaces. 8 inch based at the top. Limited snow on the lift-pull. No snow at the bottom of the ride.

It doesnt look like much, we pulled up and were disappointed by how it looked but once we started it was 100% worth it. So much fun to ride the tube lift up then slide down. We had an absolute blast. Dont be turned off by the appearance its really fun!

Place is nice. But when we took a group on site we were told that food could be found at a food truck. This was the only thing really to do during the 2 hour delay due to the business.When we tried to get food, the food truck refused to take our order and thus left unable to even grabs a bite to eat.Overall the event was fine once we had something to do, but the wait of 2 + hours left us with nothing to do outside of sitting in the car listening to music. The likeliness that I would go back is very low and I would not recommend anyone to go here.

This place was really a lot of fun! We drove from Charlotte to go snow tubing for the first time. We didnt do a lot of planning. We just got in the car and went. It was only a 2 hr drive with our kids so not too bad of a drive. We were confused when we pulled in but we were quickly met by a staff member who came up to the car to help us. Answered our questions and showed us where to park and told us where to go. The waiver shed had the safety video and liability forms. Then we paid and got started right away. We liked all the carnival-like decorations. There was a campfire to warm up by and hot chocolate. A bridge to watch your kids and take pictures/video. My kids said the staff was nice and funny each time they went up to the top of the hill. The lines were not that long when we went at 4pm. They probably got a lot of turns down in the 2hr period. 2hrs was just enough. I thought my kids would be scared but they loved it and had a blast. We will defn go back.

The place itself is ok but the staff is very rude and made my children feel uncomfortable. We brought a group of 40 with us and will not be back. When you have a business that caters to families you need to have people working there that are friendly and kind to people. Get a clue....

This was our first time here and we brought our daughter who is 2. We loved it just as much as she did. We are coming back next weekend

At first I thought it was a little too Southern for me (weird, I know), but I had a blast. The people who pushed you down the mountain were friendly and fun.

What a great family adventure you will have here. From the easy parking, friendly and helpful staff, not to mention yummy food and delicious hot chocolate. We will definitely be back to take pictures with the blues brothers, gorillas, and dinosaurs oh yeah and the tubing is super fun!

An awesome place to hang out with the kids and family. In addition to tubing there were lots of things for the kids to play on. They had a DJ and karaoke to keep everyone entertained and also hot chocolate and ice cream in the lodge. The line for the tube lift can get a little long but if you are willing to hike up the hill you could get quite a few runs in within the 2 hours. You get some good speed on the tube and the hill at the end to stop you is just as fun as the main hill.

What a great Winter activity to do with the family! We took our 6 and 9 year old boys last Sunday and we had a lot of fun. It wasnt super crowded luckily, so we got to slide down the hill lots and lots of times. The staff is very friendly and care about your safety. One of them even gave my son a pair of toe warmers when I mentioned that his toes were frozen. I was impressed! I found out later that they do sell them~but if I go again, Id remember to bring some myself. That was the only part of the kids bodies that they complained about. Oh! One more bit of advice..Get there when they open. That seems to be the trick to avoiding the crowds. I can tell you right now, if we had to wait 2 hours to begin our 2 hour slot, we would NOT be as happy with our experience. We had no wait at all!

Very busy location, but they run things smoothly. There is a kid snow play area off to the side for younger children. Its small, but it is a solid size for kids 10 and under. The complex is run well and there is food available as well as a changing area. The slope is fast and fun. They also allow you to ride down together which is rare for the area!

This place was much better and more fun than expected. Seems like a road side fair attraction upon first glance but it is pretty fun. A bit pricey though.

So much fun! From the DJ to ALL the plastic yard animals/people to food trucks and ice cream. Theres a pulley you can ride up (highly recommend). ***Weight limit is $250 lbs.

Super place to bring the family, youth group or any group! Four lanes of tubing awesomeness! Has a lift or path to go back up hill. The fire pit was nice to warm up cold hands, and there was hot chocolate and coffee, as well as a food truck on site when we visited. Well definitely be going back!

Lots of fun! Wear clothes that can get muddy and rain/snow boots. 2 hours is plenty of time to do the slope (approx 5-6 times if you use the tube lift and 8-9 if you walk up the hill). Theres a little food truck with hotdogs and bbq. Only portapottys for bathrooms and the place looks a little run down. Lots of animals and stuff to take photos with while you wait for your place in line. Staff were awesome- friendly, joking, kept us safe.

Very very fun! Great for groups of all ages! Just remember to wear waterproof clothes, and bring a change of clothes for afterwards.

Family of six with kids ages 6 to 13 had a blast tubing on Saturday. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Expensive. Dirty. It started raining 1/2 way through our session and no refund which is a rip off... Children shouldnt be the same price.

Not good. My wife and I visited from SC specifically for this attraction and it was unbelievably crowded. 30 dollars per person and a two hour wait for an innertube! Plus, we waited in line for 10 minutes only to be told we had to go to another building to fill out paperwork and watch a video and then get BACK in line just to buy tickets (no signs posted detailing this ahead of time). And, as another reviewer noted, parking is a nightmare. We just got frustrated and left. My advice: just skip this place.

Not a good day for us. we arrived with 2 kids under 7 and were told an 1hr45min wait, then after we paid and moved on to put our names on the list, we were told 2hr15min wait. after an hour and a half we decided to check where we were on the list. we were then told 2hr15min wait from that point. these people do not know how to organize their business. luckily they grudgingly gave us and lots of others our money back or they may have had a riot on their hands. also, you pay $25 to tube for 2 hours, but you also pay for every other thing there, surprised they didnt charge to use the vile portables. not to mention parking is completely ridiculous. i will never return.
