The owner gives such a interesting tour if all the planes with their back story. He is very knowledgable.
I brought my 10 year old grandson to the WNC Air Museum - hes definitely at that airplane age. Frankly, I wasnt expecting much. After all its a tiny airstrip in a small town, I thought to myself. Wrong! I was blown away by the quality and the breadth of the aircraft on display. Its very obvious that loving and knowledgeable hands have crafted a high quality and worthwhile experience. Great job!
This place is awesome. Its small on the outside but packs tons of interest on the inside. The gentleman running it was very nice and informative. My 10 year old son loved it! The adults had a great time as well. If in the area definitely worth a visit. Its free but they do except donations to keep the place going.
So much more than expected! I expected a crummy little museum with not much to offer, due to ther fact that Ive lived here for years and never heard of it. I couldnt have been more wrong! They have incredible planes to the ceilings, knowledge beyond measure, and incredible kindness toward our residents! I will definitely be back!
Friendly, fun, museum dedicated to the preservation of historical aviation. Great, kid-friendly atmosphere to explore vintage aircraft and replicas from civil and military aviation from WWI thru WWII. Also, a great resource to view photos, documents, equipment and various other memorabilia from the time period. Aircraft on display are changed out periodically. The volunteers are a wealth of knowledge and information. This museum is truly a labor of love.
OK OK listen to this story, I met a couple of pilots when touring the museum. This probably doesnt seems to out of the ordinary, but they were supper nice and everyone was helpful. I do believe that they worked there, but they took me up in there airplanes, and all I had to do was pay for gas. Just dont go in asking for rides, if they feel you are really into airplanes and that you are passionate they may offer. Just dont go in demanding a ride because you probably wont get one.
Fun stop in Hendersonville. My husband is really interested in planes/aviation etc. The staff that work there are very knowledgeable. Each plane has detailed records about the history and production. There are planes from different eras and even a gyrocopter! While its not a big museum, it is a thorough one. Its a great way to spend an hour or so!
Cute little museum with classic movies playing and friendly staff. Recommend it!

The first impression on the outside makes you wonder if there are any planes. But once you walk in you are glad you came! It isnt huge but my husband and 2 year old son loved it! They have a lot of different planes and the gentleman working there had a lot of information. It is free but give a donation.

A wonderful little Museum located in the suburbs of Hendersonville North Carolina. They have a small selection of aircraft and other are related memorabilia there for you to look at. Over although a nice place to take the children and have them look at these items without having to go to a big city location.
