Love visiting this park to play Wizards Unite! Its usually fairly busy with some type of activity. There are tennis courts, a play ground, fields for practice, a dog park, and the water front! Always enjoy seeing the ducks/geese and friendship bridge is beautiful! They also have some festive Christmas displays this year!

One of the best parks for shaded areas. Large play area, clean. Nice walking trail with beautiful scenery. Also has a large dog park etc tennis court. The duck poop could be kept up better but oh well. Lovely park.

Awesome playgrounds with varying degrees of difficulty. Clean, well maintained. Also had walking paths, tennis, pond, etc. Really nice afternoon with the family.

I love coming to this park. It has a nice trail to walk on, and the tennis courts are great! However, the local schools come here to practice tennis and take up every single court. There are no signs posted to let people know when courts will not be available so you are out of luck if you drive there to find them all taken.

Great spacious area for a picnic and having the kids run about. Only downside is a good bit of waterfowl poo, but otherwise an amazing park.

Great playground thats enclosed so your kids can run off anywhere but the main entrance and exit.

Very nice, quiet place to visit, eat lunch or dinner (bring with you). You can fish in Old Hickory Lake or feed the ducks/geese. They have machines right by the water where you can buy proper and nutritious food for them. Please do not feed them bread as that is not good for them. Conveniently located right off Gallatin Rd. aka Johnny Cash Parkway. Play tennis or walk your dog (leashed). Let the small kids play in the kiddie park full of all sorts of swings, slides, etc. especially for them.

Clean and busy on a Sunday clean bathrooms and cold water fountain. Make sure to bring quarters for the bird food to feed the duck and geese. Nice walking paths and bridges.

Absolutely love this park!! My husband and I visit Everytime we are in the area.

This is not the largest park, but it is a decent size and the views are spectacular. There are so many tennis courts and they are always in use. It is a good choice to take a stroll by yourself or with other. I also enjoy the memorials they have to the local fallen soldiers.

Its a lovely park, it doesnt look very large except they have a wonderful walking path beside the lake and it goes in a circle.The wild life of the lake are present everywhere ducks, geese, Lake loons Etc are everywhere.

Visited early afternoon while waiting for an appointment. It was nice to have a place by the water to sit and grade papers. I am a teacher, so grading is something I always have with me. The tables werent the cleanest... but what can you expect with ducks and other wildlife.

Great place to take your kids! Super big playground, a pond/lake, and a fairly good sized walking path. Also has some poke stops if you are into that kind of thing. We have been coming here for many years and its just a safe and overall cool spot.

Good place for kids to play.

Lovely park.Theres a hatred dog area, a nice paved walkway, some great views including some of the river, lots of wildlife like ducks, geese and turtles and a great playground for big and small kids. Theres also some tennis courts and maybe more sports areas that we didnt explore.Everything is in great condition, we went when the weather was mid 60s, it couldnt have been a more perfect spot on a day like that.

I definitely enjoy this park. Particularly if I ignore Kids Kingdom (it used to be so much better and kids of ALL ages loved it). Its got multiple sports courts, two dog parks, multiple venues for events that you can book, unfortunately the bathroom isnt open all year (oddly enough), but the walking path is absolutely lovely. The ducks and geese are fun, the docks are nice. Its a great place to spend time with family or alone, to have fun or to relax, and its cheered me up more than once. I really appreciate our parks and scenery.

Great walk way

Its ok and a fun place for events. I have affectionately called this place for years, poop park, because its overwhelmed with water fowl who, well, do their business all over the place, whereas you cant walk or sit without the pleasure of being surrounded by their undoing, as it were. Step lightly!

Its a good place to take a walk. You can also feed ducks. And you can take pictures of some animals and flowers you just need to be patient.

Great park for kids and dogs. Would have five stars if both sides of the dog park had shade. Saw ducks and a turtle along the paved walking trail. Kids enjoyed the play structures.

Easy decently smooth path for rollerblading. Sometimes very packed and busy but easy to find a quieter time to have most of the trail and park to yourself. Beautiful spot in hendersonville I feel gets often overlooked.

I take my dog here all the time. The dog park is well maintained and people actually pick up after their pets here! Walking trail is a decent length and there is a lot of wildlife to view.

Awesome park because it has something for everyone. Ive played tennis here, watched the ducks, went for a walk and most recently gathered together with friends by a double sided fireplace!

Ok this place is a great place to take your kids to and enjoy the wildlife, BUT, it used to be an amazing place to take your kids to. Wooden playgrounds are just better lets face it. All in all, it has a lot of amenities. Tennis, playground, walking trail, bridge, island, ducks and geese, plenty of Pokemon go stops and a couple gyms.

Have enjoyed taking my kids, grandkids and now my great grandchildren to Memorial park for 39 years. Always maintained and constantly being upgraded and expanded. Thank you for making this possible.

Wish there were restrooms instead of 1 port-a-potty on the volleyball side of the park.

I attended the honey festival there. The venders booths were beautiful, the atmosphere friendly, and I couldnt have had a better time even though I didnt stay all day. I picked up two jars of honey from Ratcliff honey farms booth and spoke with the lady that organized it last year. If you get a chance to attend this event in the future be sure to bring your children, grandchildren, and come support the all local vendors! Also, dont forget to support the event through donations! This was an awesome little event! They also had a stage with various musicians performing! The Hendersonville police and emergency services were at the event, making sure everyone was safe and that we could get in and out efficiently!

We love this park! It can get pretty crowded but its great! Our favorite thing is to be able to feed the ducks/geese/fish with the food! (Make sure to bring quarters so you can do this!) Fishing here was pretty good too!

Convenient location inside city limits. Lots of well-developed sports facilities including softball baseball exercise circuit, long walking running biking track, soccer facilities all in all a very well-developed Park.

Nice park and childrens area. Taylor Swift donated the playground equipment and it is very well taken care of. I took some children to the park so they could run off some energy. They loved it.The only con is the geese. There are lots of them and droppings are all over the place.

This is a smaller than average park, however the city planners managed to include many features without crowding everything together! It had a huge play area for the kids, tennis courts, picnicking, walking trails. Its a great place to spend the afternoon!

The park is a great place for dogs to play off leash. The fence is low enough even small dogs cant get out and hasseparate sections for big and small.

This has a great kids park that was donated by Taylor Swift. It also has a dog park athletic fields tennis courts and a neat Pond where you can feed ducks and swans. All in all I would say this is a great Park. Highly suggested for a fun family time.

This is a great place to come and relax. You can feed the ducks, walk, jog/run, or bike. There is a 1 mi trail that is along the water and paved. There is public restrooms open during the day, a playground, and tennis courts. Early morning there is a lot of wildlife to enjoy along the trail.

Great place for the family. Wonderful playground and plenty of seating and open field. The geese and ducks on the water are fun to feed.

We were only at the dog park on this beautiful warm afternoon. The water fountains are not working, but other than that it was nice.

Full fenced in park with 4 different climbing structures. Offers areas for all ages to play. The mulch would be the only negative. Shaded picnic area with 3 tables. Bathrooms are in walking distance and clean. Loved the nature trail by the lake to feed the ducks. Bring quaters for duck food, do not bring bread!!! There are signs every where saying to not feed bread to ducks. Kids spent over 3 hours here just running around having a blast.
