A great place for get togethers. Recently there for my great grandsons birthday, Jack. Also my namesakes baby shower, Lola bean Jeanine. Nice pavilions on the lake, sidewalk around part of the lake, picnic tables and grills, Playground(closed4now-covid), bathrooms, boat launch, dam, archery range. Beautiful!!

Ample room to PARK so appropriately named. Didnt see anything being recreated but enjoyed my visit.

Went here for a baby gender review, great place right on the water. Lots of nice shady trees and a nice clean area.

We enjoy going here with the kids and family sometimes to eat and enjoy the lake view. It can however be a particular place to visit and the crowds can vary. The weekend afternoons and evenings are a bit more on the teenager hang out spot. So go during the earlier hours of the week and its pretty laid back. It is not the best lake to visit as Old Hickory proceeds its reputation as being a dirty and trashy lake. I would suggest Percy priest if you plan to actually get into the water or go out into it.

Great little free launch. Wide enough to launch 3 wide. 2 docks to tie up on, plenty of trees for shade and hanging a hammock. Cement picnic tables and restroom is 100 yard walk. Parking was sufficient.

Nice park and boating area. You have a slip and docks to launch your boat or keep it in the marina. There is a nice park and Pavillion area as well for those who are not boaters but can enjoy the open area. We were able to use the lake for baptism so it was a nice treat for everyone during this coronavirus time.

I like it its very peaceful there Im not from the south from way way North and I found it very therapeutic and learned a lot

For the most part very clean very safe and spacious.Very family and kid friendly. Plenty of picnic tables and grills.

The lake we usually sit at the picnic table closest to the lake. There was a nice breeze and it was relaxing

My grand daughter and I enjoy coming to this park. There are ducks, fishing, and a playground! And a sand volleyball court. This park also offers pavilions,a stage, and grills and picnic tables for reunions, parties, or corporate events!

There is a great boat ramp, playground, picnic area, and dock here! The bathrooms were dirty though. That’s the only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars.

Wonderful park love it very relaxing place just set back listening to the birds,ducks,boats and all the sounds ️️ watching the wildlife there ️ taking a lunch or dinner and drilling out. When my kids were young we would go there a lot, for breakfast,lunch and dinner. They liked going for breakfast the most I would take everything and cook three even biscuits. We would go after school,all year round really,my son Chickie was eating a taco once and a big goose came up and took it right out of his hands,he was about four at the time,made him so mad. We started bringing bird seed to give to them. Just a few of my favorite memories of this park️got more with my grandkids too️ fall is the best️ so go visit have fun and just watch and listen and relax. Hope you enjoyed this Carol

We have visited several times, sharing take-out with family during this pandemic time. The area on the bank on the bank of the lake is so serene and beautiful.

Great views and plenty of pic nic tables to space out on. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we had a lovely Mothers day brunch under the trees.

This was my second time going fishing & although I didnt catch anything. Im not salty. Bcuz I was being taught things about fishing as me & my friend fished. Which was way better than the first time.

Nicely maintained area for picnics ( multiple tables with grills and plenty of shade) and boat launches..only draw back was the lack of available bathroom facilities, they were locked so not able to be of use.

Been going there since in was a kid. Love it!

Love this place to just go relax. Always friendly people around fishing. Just watch out for creeps. Have been followed into the archery range by a strange man twice. Wouldnt recommend going alone as a female on a non busy day. Other than that beautiful park. Decently clean restrooms. Good lake and dam views.

Great location for a family get together or wedding. The kitchen is awesome. If you have the $$ reserve it for 2 days so you can store your food in the kitchen!

Lived next to here for three years. The first fishing i did in Tennessee was here at Rockland. There are a few times when there are too many fishing to be fun. But early morning weekdays is best. There are some huge bluegills off the dock by the fallen tree. Use crickets. :)There are covered table areas for family events. Its just a really friendly place. Ive never felt creepy here like some of the reviews try to indicate. Always better safe than sorry with littles. Keep them in sight and youll be fine. Love this place.Now i forlornly fish here in my boat from the old hickory side.

We were out for a drive and getting to know the area. We had no idea this was such a nice area. The power plant was there and it is surrounded by green lawns so its pretty. There is an archery field, and a a boat ramp too.

Nice calming area with lakeshore views. Grills, picnic tables, pavillions, kids playgrounds. Well shaded and open areas. Family fun. Got a boat ? Nice loading ramp across from marina.Additional bonus is the TVA reservoir museum and spillway area.

Was a great place for the eclipse. Clean bathrooms. Dock. Covered porch areas. Playground with swings, slide, volleyball and sand. Wonderful views of the lake.

Very nice park and picnic area with a fishing peer and water frontage to fish from the bank. Also fairly nice boat ramp with two loading docks.

Quiet and nice on weekday with shades and picnic area and quite a lot of fish and birds and squirrels around!

Love that you can walk the trail to the different targets instead of just son and shoot. Kids love it too.

I dont launch boats or anything, but its a nice place to relax and watch the water. Lake, fishing, kayaking, boats, and nearby music at night make Rockland a very relaxing local place to clear my head.

Nice park. Like most public parks the bathrooms are not clean. But otherwise good place. We do slip and slide down the slight incline across from the playground

Love this park! What wonderful scenery & plenty to do. Went to fellowship, eat & enjoy the scenery. There was a playground, we were right on the water & there were enough shaded areas to get out if the extreme heat.
