One of my favorite parks to walk my dog in henderson.

Fun, clean, awesome park with lots of clever play equipment for ages 1-12! Will not disappoint your kids! :-)

Walk our dog here everynight. Well lit never encountered any problems in the neighborhood except the occasional couote walk by. Lots of trees and rin ares available.Nice old school park.

We love this park- its easily accessible, right near the library and the Multigen. Its always lush- the landscapers take a lot of care here. Typical people who visit this park are small families. Theres no dog run or fenced off dog area, but dogs are allowed. Usually never crowded or too loud

Pretty nice park, gated and some shade by surrounding trees and a canopy, the toddlers are is not cover by a canopy so the swings and toddlers area will be scorching hot. Teenis court looks nice, bathrooms are clean, 4/5

Great park! They have a great toddler area with a play set for very small kids. There are two play areas. The bigger kid area is great, it has a shade cover. There is also a rock climbing area, swings, lots of slides and ample benches. Covered picnic areas and lots of grass. There are well maintained tennis courts, volley ball court, and a nice walking trail throughout. This park is very peaceful!

Took the grandkids and they enjoyed climbing and the slides. Too many middle school kids hanging around being teenagers. It would be better if there were a hangout theyd enjoy without infiltrating the little kid area. Overall fun for the little kids.

Went to this park today for Henderson days. Lots of things to do. Nice family atmosphere. Good food vendors and lots of community displays. Looks like an awesome place for kids and adults all year round.

One of the great things about living in the Green Valley ranch community is the abundance of parks that we have. Ive got four or five a short distance from my house. My dog and I love that.

All ways great, good light all around...Nice tennis courts open to midnight, wish little more later.

Even though this lovely park wasn’t that far from my home, I had never been before. My Niece and her two young children, ages 5 & 2 were here in Henderson visiting from Arizona this past Sept./Oct. 2019 and the weather was beautiful, so we decided to take the kids to the park. Someone had recommended it to my Stepmom, so off we went. Though the directions were a bit odd, the park itself was great. It’s an 8 acre park nestled in a family friendly area of Green Valley in Henderson. The first thing I noticed was that the playground section for the younger children had a very well padded (rubberized somehow I guess???) floor area, in case anyone took a little spill, instead of like in my day, when it was all rock or cement, OUCH! As you call see by my photos, they had vibrant and colorful and safety minded fun and familiar objects, for the children to climb, slide, crawl, reach, etc. on. The ChooChoo Train was the main focal piece, it had various entrances & exits, a bridge that connected to a slide and so much more. It really help the children build up not only their physical abilities, but also the confidence in themselves. My own Great Niece, only 2 years old, started out being afraid to do most everything, but after watching other little one’s at play, and with a little encouragement and help from the Grown -ups in her life that were there, she lost all her fear before long. In fact, she couldn’t get enough of everything and wanted to try something new! The playground also had swing sets and a large tube for crawling through. The young ones also had plenty of room for them to just have fun. The park had plenty of seating, restrooms, shade for getting out of the direct sun and another area for the bigger kids. My Great Nephew, almost 6, got “bored” in the playground area and went over into the other section of the park (with an adult) but I wasn’t able to walk over. I’m sure the rest of the park was just as nice as the section for the youngest kids.Overall, I was very impressed with the portion of the park that I did see and enjoy with my family. I would definitely recommend taking your little one’s to this park, based on my experience from my time there with my family.

Tennis courts are terrible for such a nice park and neighborhood. These courts get regular use. They are in desperate need of resurfacing.

Super nice will maintained park. Popular with families because it has facilities for younger children and kids that are a bit older. Whats nice about this park is that you feel safe in the park even after dark.

Discovery is another nice little park in the Green Valley community that is clean and well maintained. Most of the visitors are here walking their dogs around the park in the grassy area. The good thing is I havent really seen any stray dog poop hanging around from an irresponsible owner. Fantastic.The playground area has a soft padded ground in case a kid takes a fall. The restrooms are located right by the playground and has two entrances. Theres a full length basketball court with 6 hoops total in case two full court games are necessary. There two sand volleyball courts I dont think Ive seen anyone actually use recently.We visit mainly for the tennis courts. The courts do have some cracks and theres no fence divider between the courts but overall they are in a good condition. Theres a tennis wall to practice solo with a dedicated practice area outside the courts. The lights stay on until 11:06 PM (yes weve stayed that late) which is great for you late night tennis and basketball players.Overall Discovery Park is a nice little dog park with something for everyone. Enjoy!

Great little park with lots if shade. The playgrounds and facilities are clean though I wish they maintained the grounds a bit more.

My son loved this park and there is so much shade. Its wonderful to just lay under the trees in the shade while he plays.

This park has quite a bit to offer. Three levels of playground, tennis courts, a baseball field, and open field for soccer/rygby/football.

This park is absolutely perfect! Enjoyed being there for my first time. Playground for the kids, volleyball and basketball courts, open field for baseball game. Nice seating areas. Recommending it be used for an outdoor space for church meetings. Near the Paseo Verde library to go to before or after.Take the family, youll love it!

Great park with two playgrounds. One playground is ideal for toddlers and preschoolers. The other playground is for older kids it has bigger slides, rock climbing wall, monkey bars, and swings. Park also has the tennis courts, basketball courts, and baseball fields. Theres also plenty of grass for a game of tag. Theres also picnic tables for BBQs.

Quiet nice...

This park is the beginning of a three and a half mile walk that I visit often because its an area with mature landscaping, a variety of parks and lots of options. I usually walk here at night and feel perfectly safe.

Our favorite playground for the kids, spacious, well maintained, fluffy healthy turf, tv not very crowded, 2 separate playgrounds one for younger kids one for older kids.

Lots of trees! Well maintained and feels private once off the road. Enclosed area for smaller kids next to the bathroom was appreciated.

I like that it has a fence around the play area. It does have a few openings but they have bushes to hid them

Nice covered playground area. Mostly fenced in which is nice if you are taking more than one kiddo. Sand volleyball, tennis court, baseball field, big open grass area, horseshoe pits, and basketball court. What more could u ask for.

Love this place!!! I can play tennis by myself and my niece loved this park as well!!! She had a blast at each park and walking all around in the grass fields and everything!!! Cant wait to bring her back and maybe have a BBQ with the family when it warms up a bit more.

Great park! If you have allergies then you may want to stay away from this park before it hits triple digits. There are many flowering plants around the park that carry allergens.

Excellent! Perfect place to take little ones with many toys desined specifically for young toddlers and little walkers. My little guy, myself and my husband had a wonderful playdate with friends today, and will be coming back. Tennis courts, volleyball nets and a big sandbox for sports or just playing. I definitely recommend this park!

A Beautiful park maintained by the city of Henderson. A Rose garden, huge expanse of grass with large shade trees, restrooms, picnic tables scattered throughout the area, a large childrens playground, volleyball pits with real sand.

Fun park, older kids and smaller kids play areas are separate. Big grass area is fun to play in, also a couple of volleyball courts. Only complaint is the bathrooms have no soap.

It is a pretty, clean park with a lot of shady picnic tables and fun playgrounds for kids.

Wanted to check out a new park near the rec center before my sons class. Didnt particularly care for this park. The equipment is more of really small children and the other area is for bigger kids. There seemed to be an excessive amount of pigeons too.

Green Valley is such a nice place to live with Parks shopping and close freeway access.

TBH I am completely disappointed by this park. Read great reviews pictures portrayed awesomeness. Unimpressed.

Out of all the parks Ive been to in Las Vegas, this is the quitest and the nicest. If you just want a place to walk around with a co-worker, a significant other, or just a place to zen out, this is the best you will get without going to Mount Charleston and hugging a random tree.

It was peaceful and pretty, the birds were singing merrily. I enjoyed it.

Fun place for families

I love this park! Its super clean and never too busy.

Discovery Park has everything but a baseball field. There are two tennis courts, a basketball court, two beach volleyball courts, three horseshoe pits and even a handball court for the sports minded. There are two play sets for children, one for the little tots and one for bigger children.This park has mature trees, a large grassy area for field sports, plenty of picnic tables and bbq grills with parking and restrooms. The latter are a little dismal looking but adequate.

Excellent facility, well kept, safe. Nice park to walk in, picnic, basketball, volleyball, tennis, childrens playground, BBQs, bathrooms, full size ball fields. Nice place.

This is park for the residents in the area. It has walking paths from Friendship Park to this place. Its not a big, community park like Sunset Park.

My young children enjoyed our morning visit here. There are two main child play areas next to each other for older and younger kids
