Not great as a rose garden. Most roses did not have name tags. Otherwise nice as a photogenic park.

As a wedding photographer, I love Lakeside Rose Gardens. There are many different areas to take beautiful pictures!

Beautiful garden with a variety of flowers and plants. Very relaxing and picturesque. Fort Wayne has some very nice parks and public areas that are Free to visit!

This was a really nice park in Downtown Fort Wayne. Beautiful flowers and a beautiful fountain (as you can see in the pic). If you are ever in the area, definitely give this place a visit. Also, a nice place to get out and walk.

Just having a look to see what’s around the city for green space and came across lakeside park & rose garden really nice walk not far from downtown.A really nice arrangement of different roses lots of colours even in mid September everything is out in good bloom. There’s a lake you can walk around and seating just to enjoy the fountain and the flowers.There’s a parking lot or street parking is available.

Its a beautiful place to take a walk. Nice wide paved walkways, a fair amount of shade and several park benches. Im not a big fan of roses but the formal annual beds are stunning. Built shortly after 1900, its a gem in Ft. Wayne.

Beautiful park. Has fishing, playground, basketball court and I think a tennis court not certain about the tennis court.

This has always been a popular flower park for decades. Some of the beds could use some additional plantings. The annual beds didnt seem to be neglected with water as some of the plants were dead and drooping. There is so much potential for this park. This has been an unusual year and maybe thats has had some effects on the park.

I would like to see that place in spring with all those Roses blooming!

Lots of people around, but easy to keep distance. Beautiful day, peaceful.The park just needs more picnic tables under trees for more utilization.

This was my first time walking through the park. I have only previously seen as I was driving by. I thought it was a great park, and a lot more to it than it looks from the road. There are open areas, sun and shade, away from everyone. There were a couple parties in banquet style buildings. They have restrooms and drinking fountains. Great playgrounds that my son had a blast at. Good size lake to walk around, even watch some people catching fish. Also noticed tennis, and basketball courts. There is also the large rose garden, and all of the gorgeous features that are part of that. There are a LOT of things to do there. We made our way around fairly quickly, so Im sure there are even more things I didnt see. Nice people, clean park, plenty to offer. I would go again, for sure.

Always a joy to visit! Beautiful flowers, well maintained, and clean. The recent (within the last couple of years) addition of the large flat stones around the pond are a nice touch.

It was a quiet summer evening, the rose garden didnt have many blooms,the water fountain was a visual centerpiece, not crowded, kids using the playground and basketball courts, very pleasant diversion from stay at home Covid-19

One of Fort Waynes treasures. I make it a point to take our guest that come to visit from out of town to see it. Guess I just love flowers of all kinds. This is the place to see them. Its a phenomenal place for weddings or just to get some Gorgeous pictures. Highly recommend stopping by and bringing your camera. Be prepared to stay for a bit. I just has that effect on you.

Spent many days and evenings enjoying this beautiful park. I exercised on the walk paths, played basketball with Mr.T on the courts, layed shaded under the huge oak trees, enjoyed lunches at the picnic tables graciously provided, thoroughly enjoyed walking with my love through the sea of flowers in the garden that is very well maintained.Loved this place.

This park is absolutely beautiful and well kept! On the playground side there are multiple play equipments and it has ramps to all of them so they are handicap accessible. On the lake and rose garden side it was breath taking the lake has a beautiful fountain in the center and the rose garden is full of different species of plants and flowers. Highly recommended for weddings, showers, photo shoots and so much more!

Living across the street is an added plus but the rose gardens and the park have been a favorite place since moving to Fort Wayne. Its well maintained and the gardens are always beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone who has never been.

Wonderful place to take pictures! Lots of flowers, has a park, a small building to hold events like bridal showers, a tennis court, a basketball court, and a playground with picnic tables for families!

Once again Ive been here with my friends daughter and she really loves this place she loves riding her bike around the water and she loves feeding the Ducks. Very family oriented place. Where you can just feel safe and at peace

While the Roses werent out at this time of the year, the place is still very pretty. The playground is really nice and well taken care of, and there are quite a few things for the kids to do. There were even some people fishing in the pond there while we were there. Pretty cool place overall. Its a very popular spot to have weddings, especially here in the springtime.

If you love flowers and kinda a Greek style pillars this is the park for you. It is a very well kept park. It is a great place to take any family, prom, wedding Sr. pictures at. there is plenty enough ares to get some great pictures. I was told about this park some years back and I went to see for myself. I fell in love with it because I love flowers, the pond and the fountain. It is a relaxing park for me.

The park is very nice. They have beautiful flowers. A nice clean park. You can also rent a building for family and friends reunions and other get togethers.

Its a nice park in a reasonably safe neighborhood. Theres a playground for the kids. Its pet friendly and theres a small lake. The regular visitors tell me that the fishing is good at times. The restrooms are clean and are wheelchair accessible. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone.

This park is popular and when flowers are in bloom, awesome. The day we came to walk around though, too many people were there to do photos for weddings and prom, so it was crowded and parking on street got jammed up. They should limit number of photograph groups so those who are there to enjoy the walk or fishing can do so without others photo related interference.

I love this park... the playground is well placed and balanced for various ages of kids... and the rest of the park is tranquil and romantic. Very prone to nostalgia. So far this is my favorite park in Fort Wayne.

The roses in the spring are just breathtaking! I love how each rose is labeled with its name and type. It is like a rose lesson learning about the varieties of flowers! The pictures I attached are all from July. The flowers are beautiful most of the year though. There are multiple pavilions to house events. I frequently see weddings and quinceaneras at the grand terrace. People are always around taking pictures for various occasions. It is definitely a perfect spot for pictures!!

Its scenic and restful, great place to walk. The reflection pool is amazing to see. The ponds are a peaceful. Lots of ducks and geese. People say hello when they walk past you.

Love it! Part of my youth was enjoying activities in this park. Winter- Ice skating on one of the ponds, while pop music was blaring on the loudspeaker. For warmth, just skate to the onsite cabin. Summer - us girls loved and enjoyed the playground equipment, particularly the swings and naturally I cant leave out the teeter-totters, I loved jumping off when my companion was in the air - ouch!!!

Great place to bring the family and let the kids play, a lovely place to get married, or have a picnic under the trees.Also a great place to watch fireworks on the holidays.

Beautiful floral gardens. We rented a time slot for 2 hours to have our wedding here. Just perfect, compliments that it looked like we had our wedding in Greece and I was a Greek goddess. Our wedding party didnt have floral accessories nor did I have an expensive bouquet of flowers, nature provided the floral scerenry in August. Very nice forest walk on the other side of park, beautiful fountain with activities courts and childrens play area in between.

Really really pretty place to hangout, relax, have a picnic, or exercise. The gardens and the landscaping is pretty incredible, with many different kinds of flowers plants. A must visit park!

Its late June and so many varieties of roses to see and smell. Very well manicured throughout park. Very fun tire swing.

The only down side to this park is that it the ponds need to be stocked with some large bluegills...

Small and intimate with one of the more scenic backdrops in Fort Wayne, take it for what its worth. The neighborhoods surrounding the park are beautiful as well.

It is my favorite place in all Fort Wayne. It is the final resting place of my beloved wife Valerie. It will always be what it always has been sacred ground. And the most beautiful place for a wedding.

It is an oasis in a lovely old neighborhood. The gardens are gorgeous, and the pond is a great place to sit and relax.

Ive been here several times. We went tonight for the food truck rally. Mostly nice park except the ponds smell a little.

Beautiful sunken garden area that provides great backdrops for senior photos, homecoming, prom, or even wedding photos.The landscaping is well groomed and park is pretty clean overall. Not really a park that you would go to for a run or bike ride due to the smaller size, but more for a leisurely walk with your four legged friend. Good location too, right near downtown yet still peaceful.
