The park is pristine and emerald green. It has the basic amenities and is well maintained. The sand is very fine and close to silky white. Parking is handicap accessible and plentiful.

I like the history of how and why this beach got its name but I will not return here. It seems to be a very popular place to have weddings and my day I visited John Beasley park was rudely interrupted by, Maam, we rented the beach for a wedding and youre going to have to move because we are setting up the chairs right where youre sitting. Yeah, that did not sit well with me because only a few steps away was clear beach just for their occasion but I was in their spot..Maybe they should put up markers so people like me who only want to enjoy their time at the beach are not interrupted by being told to move. Mr. Beasley you do have a pretty beach but Ill never go back due to the lady and setup people who told me I had to move

Family friendly atmosphere, clean restrooms, showers, and wheelchair accessible. We go here quite often because there is a lifeguard on duty during the summer season. The water is usually very clean and everyone practices social distancing quite well. Its a great place to take the kids and family for a day of fun and relaxation.

First time to the Destin area. This park is perfect. We stayed in Fort Walton Beach and would just come over to hit the beach every day. Its handicap accessible, mostly anyway, with showers and clean bathrooms and changing areas. Plus a nice covered area with picnic tables. Dont forget to read the story about the man the park is dedicated to. Inspirational.

The beach there isnt as nearly crowded as other public beaches. Although is you dont want to be by people then youll have to walk a bit. Youll come along an empty pocket eventually. My family an I had a great time and personally I think its great for skim boarding if youre a beginner or I dont even know. I just like skim boarding there. It also has bathrooms that are semi-clean but a lot cleaner than others. There are also two, I think, mini outside showers to wash the sand off on. There is a big dock leading to the beach with pavilions so great to just relax under. Bottom line is that it was really fun and I definitely recommend it.

The park itself is free and so is parking. Weve never had trouble finding a space. We prefer this beach over the resort beaches. Way less crowded!

Easy access to the emerald colored surf of the Gulf of Mexico, by way of boardwalks. Nice facilities, showers, changing rooms and covered pavilions with adequate tables and seating.State maintained, no commercial presence

Very nice public beach access. Ample parking available. There are restrooms available and a pavilion. I just wish there were grills available.

The beach was not crowded. Friendly people. This portion of the beach was originally for African Americans years ago, name after John Beasley a black man. We were the only African Americans there. We had a great day I will definitely go back again.

This was our first time visiting Destin. My cousin brought us to this beach. We absolutely loved it. Kids built sand castles and we relaxed in the water. The waves were beautiful and so calming. The beach was clean and well maintained. The only issue is there is only one water spout to wash off but thats okay. I would definitely return.

My wife and I got married here on this beach.. beautiful water in the middle of July. We married labor day 2019.

We love this park! We come at least once a year, usually just for short day trips. It’s a great place to just park and be able to walk right down to the water. Not too crowded and lots of beach to walk/play on/enjoy!

Beautiful view! Showers and bathrooms available. Bathrooms could have been cleaner, but at least they have them.

Beautiful beach. The day I went, it was at sunrise on a chilly morning. It mustve been high tide and the sea was whipped up... So, I wasnt there to swim. And finding shells was almost impossible due to high tide. There is a handicapped accessible ramp taking you to an area overlooking the beach. I dont really do stairs.

The beach is located right of 98. The water was clear but had lot of June grass which is an green algeas. It very unpleasant to swim in the middle of this green algeas. Its very good for walking a and taking sun tan but definitely not good for water activities. If anyone looking for Clean water for swimming then please visit Panama City Beach access 55.

This is a great public park. No cost for parking. Closes at dark. Great clean bathroom facilities and a couple rinse off stations to clean the sand off of you.Wheelchairs are available for use. You have to call the phone number posted for that.

Very nice beach with clear greenish-blue water. Great place to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend with the family. Good place to snorkel too! Many little fish come up to you when youre in the water.

Great view, plenty of parking, and an easy walk. There was a lifeguard around, several volleyball nets, & bathrooms.

The ONLY issue was the fact that 10 minutes after we unpacked everything, another family came and set up right next to us and started fishing! There was plenty of other areas, but they decided that setting up less than 10 yards away where our kids were playing was the best place to fish. Its people, but not the park. Just be aware that fishing is allowed and people dont care where their lines go. The police ride by on 4 wheelers regularly and there is a lifeguard on duty who seems to be very aware of everything, which is reassuring. There are bathrooms and showers that are kept in good repair. There is a sign for beach wheelchair rentals that states it is open March-September, but we were there in early March and it was closed the whole time. If thats something you need, be sure to call ahead for times. The beach was free of debris. It was a very nice area.

Beach life! White sand! Bring a few chairs and a big umbrella. Its 40$ to rent here. Cheaper to buy and give to someone if staying longer than a day or two. The water is very refreshing. Definitely be careful with kids and the understanding of undertow! Very nice breeze and an excellent place to enjoy the afternoon!

Pristine beach. Clean white sand and turquoise water. Not crowded and plenty of parking. Large shelters. Showers and changing rooms and camp store. Boat launch and shuttle to shell island. Beautiful.

Sandbar made a nice trophy for the kids to swim in. Very windy so rough water. I had to watch grandson very closely. Beach clean. Public bath house smelly. Nice showers to rinse off sand. Bathrooms dirty and no covid care at all.

Beautiful white sand beach! The water was choppy due to weather but the lifeguards were present to warn everyone to stay out of the water due to a dangerous riptide. There was a shower present to wash the sand off when you go to leave. Bathrooms leave a little to be desired. They could be cleaner and dont have toilet seats.

Great place to go to the beach. There are bathrooms and it is less crowded than closer to the pier. We always walk a little ways to the East until we are past the crowd.

This is a GORGEOUS beach!Plenty of FREE parking, showering sand off, picnic & restroom facilities.However, because any busy public place with lazy humans would be a little smelly & unclean, this restroom falls victim of the same. If you come expecting such, you will not be disappointed.The beach is AwesomeSauce!

Beautiful white sand beach. Usually quiet, peaceful especially in the fall and winter. Pavilions to sit under, picnic. Amazing views to enjoy or walk on the beach.

My wife and I have made Beasley Park our special spot and favorite beach. Its clean, has bathroom facilities, and even during season there arent hordes of people. Lots of parking available and weve always found a spot. Highly recommended!!

Beautifully Peaceful!Away from all the hotels. The beach was clean, beautiful white sand. The pavilion provide me a shady place to get out of the sun for a bit. The restroom were clean and also had changing rooms. I Loved being able to shower and change before getting back in the car.

Hot but so worth it. The water was amazing and beautiful. Even got to see a wedding while we was there.

Beach access is great. Parking lot available, no charge for visiting when we went, beaches were beautiful and clean, but the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting when we went, and it was early morning, mid afternoon with very few visitors at the time.

This stretch of beach is well-worth the stop! It boasts beautiful white sand, clear water, and sand dunes teeming with wildlife. Dolphin pods can be seen swimming by the beach. My family loves this beach because it is not blighted by commercial life- no hotels, condos, beach houses, restaurants, nor souvenir shops! There is a large parking lot, foot washing stations, covered picnic ares, and restrooms.

It was nice. But the mens bathroom was horrible.

This is a great public beach. Plenty of parking and plenty of beach. Nice restrooms and pavilion if you want to get out of the sun for a few minutes. There are a few vending machines but were not working when I was there. Walk toward the surf and turn left, head East and there is all the pristine white sand and emerald seas you can handle. Happened to visit right before Michael hit, had the double red out and had to evacuate. Actually writing this about 12 hrs pre landfall, hope it fizzles.

Picturesque location with multiple boardwalk beach accesses. Also, handicap parking, access, and ramps. Located on the mysterious North Shore of the Gulf of Mexico, photo opportunities are abundant, there is great fishing, and miles of snow white beach.

I dont think I went to this place but its so hot that ur cheeks get so sweaty and it feels like I put butter in there and it melted XD

Definitely will be going back Destin Florida
