Stayed here several years ago. Clean and nice, the units are just a little small. But if the price is right it is fine. The help is very rude. Out for a morning walk from my rental down the beach, this is right about where Id turn back. From the sand to the parking lot, its maybe twenty yards. Thought I would walk through the thin slice of land to the street to head back and take a few pics of the place Id stayed at. Being on the wide open property(no barriers or fences) for all of forty seconds, I was accosted by a gentleman working, who asked if I was staying there, I said not this time, and he said, Youre trespassing. Get out. Incredibly rude and elitist, especially for a pretty pedestrian property. Very welcoming staff!

Awesome place to rent, right on the beach and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very clean and friendly.

This was our first time and it was a wonderful experience. Very clean, nice people. The only complaint is that the pool only had an umbrella at one of the four tables and one windy day the one umbrella came out of the table. Since my husband is handicapped we exclusively use the pool. We hope to return and we hope there will be more working umbrellas!

Great little German restaurant with reasonable prices. We had eggs Benedict, pancakes, and french toast. We will be back.

Awesome place with a great view.

This is one of the worst hotels i have been too. The manager goes in your room just to check if it is clean. They only allow 5 people in the pool at a time and they dont have a hot tub. Please do not come here.

It is a quiet place and beautiful sunsets

Ive been coming here for years with my family. We really enjoy this place for its immaculate upkeep, stunning views, and great location. Its a bit quieter here compared to the downtown fort Myers Beach area. Walk for miles in either direction. See dolphins every morning. The grocery store is just a block down the road. Weekly rentals, but believe they do shorter term in the off season. Also great grilling facilities down by the beach. Shuffleboard off to one side. Only downside is the pool is not gulf side.

Well maintained facility with lots of extras. Very close to the water, Publix and local attractions and restaurants. Book this location for your next beach vacation! You wont regret it!

We Normally stay here 1 week a year! very nice, have beach front, not alot of traffic or party people! They have gas grills for you to cook, lounge chairs, pool, laundry. some suites are not totally updated but some are amazing. I spend most my time on the beach so It does not matter either way as long as they are clean! the nicer ones are more convenient in some ways!

We have stayed at Smugglers cove several times. The condos are clean, comfortable and a good value. The beach is gorgeous, the pool larger han most on the beach. The one distinct issue is smoking. They allow smoking on the lani and if you are above a smoker, it not only wafts up into your lani, but also your condo. I brought this to he managements attention and she told me that because some condo owners smoke, they refused to do anything about it. It kept us from being on our lani often. If you are looking for quiet and smoke free, you may want to look elsewhere.

Excellent location. Right in the middle of the island. Very near a Publix grocery store for stocking the fridge. We cooked breakfast and lunch almost every day of our stay, and even stayed in in for dinner one night. Having a real kitchen is a huge plus. Beach is as nice as youd expect. Having bathroom facilities available 9n the ground floor is handy as well. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful place to stay, helpful staff, clean beach, clean pool, on prem paid laundry, screened in porch with amazing view,cable TV in each room. Will be back!

The grounds and staff are AMAZING! Its SO convenient how you can go from beach to pool and back without a hike. The tiki huts, grills, and chairs that they provide are further proof that Smugglers Cove has thought of EVERYTHING, so you can just relax and unwind! My family looks forward to many more trips here!

We come here every year during the week of July 4th with our whole family. Its in a great location, close to many shopping spots and places to eat. Great units, so much fun!

If I could rate the staff at the front desk (the blonde/white haired woman and the reddish/brown haired woman) with a zero i would. I had just driven across the country with plans on checking into the condo i thought i had reserved until May for work and was treated terribly. Upon arrival, they told me the condo was rented for the month. I was in shock. I said there had to be some confusion bc I was renting for the next 5 months. I pulled up my lease to show them and they wanted nothing to do with looking at it. They started laughing and said clearly you arent bc this condo is taken. I felt my world closing in. I had driven over 1000 miles and put $3000 down on a deposit only to find out it was a scam. I wanted to cry. These two women were the most disrespectful humans I have EVER met. I said there had to be some mistake. As they continued to laugh, they said the only mistake I made was being dumb enough to send a deposit without seeing the place and that I would not be a guest at the Smugglers Cove. Then they told me to leave as they laughed you got scammed as I walked out of the front door. I asked if they had any suggestions and they replied nope. These two women COMPLETELY LACK human decency. I would NEVER AGAIN step foot at that establishment. Those two women should be fired for how they treated me. I have worked in Hospitality my entire life and would never imagine treating another person that way. I hope one day the tables are turned and they find themselves on the other side of this terrible incident.

Great rooms very spacious. Almost like an apartment. Except AC and plumbing broke twice and we only stayed a week. We had to switch rooms three times in our visit. The rooms were different themes(kind of ) one room was very out dated, had shaggy carpets and TVs that were from the 1900s(I looked it up). The other room was okay. The bedrooms are medium sized and the beds are fairly comfortable. Over all acceptable.

We did a boat rental. Hands down best experience ever. Friendly staff, very responsive, and gave us everything we needed to have a great time.

Im sure your experience will vary condo to condo but the pool is heated and roomy, the beach is fantastic, and the location is far enough from the public beach to be quiet and tranquil, but youre close enough to drive, bike, or Uber if youre looking for kitchy beach fun.

It was great

For the most part I liked it but the traffic was horrible and it took a long time to get to Times Square whether we used the trolley, Uber or taxis. The beach had a lot of seaweed that we couldnt avoid because the piles were wide and high.

We rent here regularly. Love the close access to the beach, comfortable condos.

Spring break here every year! Kids love it and the grills are great! Not too far from anything but northbound traffic in the evenings is very slow but who cares!

Smugglers Cove at Ft. Myers Beach can be a great place to stay, however, dealing with the office staff is quite unpleasant. Customer service does not exist even to loyal visitors of 10 years (contrary to what their website says). There is no accountability when mistakes are made to reservations and their office manager is just plain rude. If you desire to go there, book online to avoid the painful experience of dealing with unprofessional, unreliable employees.

If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay, try out smugglers cove. The beach feels private and the condos are great.

Best condo on the beach. Location is quite and never many kids. Its the best place to kick back and have a quite luxury vacation. Rooms can be a lilttle dated but if your hanging in your room your not enjoying you vacation. Resturants and old town are just minutes away. Outlets malls are a 20 minute drive. Cocunut Pointe is my favorite shopping around. I highly highly reccomend you stay at sumgglers cove.
