Jetty Island is the perfect local beach getaway. The Ferry is free. Get there early to get your tickets or reserve them a couple days in advance if you have an Everett address or party of 8 or more. Sandy beach! Bring sun shade on a hot day. Bring food and water. One bathroom on the island by the dock.

Totally worth a trip! The island is a lot more lush than I thought and stretches for miles. Ill definitely be back before the summers ended.

This place is awesome! Ive been here several times via my kayak, alone and with my girlfriend. I havent been to the southern half because I prefer more secluded environs, plus there always seems to be wind / kite surfers on the southern end. Saw plenty of wildlife including a seal which I was thrilled to see! Relatively clean, but we need your help to keep it clean! This place is really refreshing and it heals your spirit.

What a great place. The little ferry can get pretty crowded so Id suggest getting down there early. We went on a thursday and the return ferrys filled up quickly too. The beach at the place where you land can get pretty crowded. We walked all the way north to the northern tip. After a short walk north there was nobody all the way to the top of the island. Be careful with bare feet as the further north you were there was more debris like broken glass. Likely washed up from the river. The best looking beach was at the far north. Id also be wary of the tide if you go to the top of the island as there is a small crossing that we had to make. This was during low tide.

A small island a few yards away from Everett - Jetty Island! Great (not so hiddem gem). Check ferry schedule, as it is only open to the public during summer months. Otherwise, your own your own - many kayakers opt to paddle over. Clean beach, beautiful sunsets, no pets allowed. Services are limited. Clean restrooms. Welcoming, casual, exciting &/or relaxing - is whatever u want it to be. Just be respectful... The vibe is good.

Brought my kids on float find day. Helpful to read other reviews. Although our ferry ran into some rope, staff was incredibly kind as we waited! Lovely area with enough room for even the crowds we had there. Little windy, just enough for kites but not obnoxious. Honestly I found it almost too big- had to walk waaay out to the water and back with the kids, realized I rather like to sit and watch them as they go a few feet to play. That being said, if you know what to expect, its a great spot to go.

So much fun! Went with my 2 young grandsons!Great opportunity for all. Take sunblock! Plan your return trip well. You may not want to leave!

Our favorite summer day date! If you live in Everett, you can reserve tickets 2 days in advance, child friendly, and around 3pm the kite surfers come out and put on a show!

I love the jetty! Its like being on a sandy beach at the ocean, but its in Everett. My family has been going there since 1977 when we would take a little rubber raft or our sailboat there. Its the perfect summer day outing. You need to make reservations for the Jetty Island ferry usually, but thats not difficult.

Ok till you realize you are a captive on the island. Dont make plans for later...

Had no idea what to expect... Was quite pleasantly surprised.Kids loved the beach and tide. Wind surfers were interesting to watch.Great lazy day at an actual beach.

It was a lot of fun, though it can get crowded. Take a collapsible sun shelter, and prepare to stay for the day. Also, be ready to carry out what you carry in. Great time with the kid on a sunny day. The park rangers were super rad.

Love this place! My kiddos enjoy going each year. Theres limited shade, so be sure to bring sunscreen and some form of shade (especially to protect the littles!) We bring everything we need like food and drinks, as well as sand toys when we go. Couldnt recommend it more :)!

Lots of great sand! But no services once you are there. If you want it, you bring it. Some picnic tables and fire pit. Volleyball net available, bring your ball. Weekends are crowded.

A must go to place. There is a free ferry over to the island in the summer months. Great beach. Take a picnic, watch the kite surfers, go swim. No amenities on the island.

Theres always limited number of people that can access the beach at any one time, and theres like a mile of beach, so you dont have to worry about overcrowding if youre willing to walk a little. You can swim, make sand castles, dig holes that fill with water, find clams and same shrimp. You can also sink into the same until its hard to get out.

Kite surfing true sandy beach. One of the very few sandy beaches I have been at in the area. A bit hard to get to which makes it nice once you are their.

One of my favorite places to kayak. We launch our kayaks at Everett Marina and row up to the north tip of Jetty. The beach is sandy and warm on a good day. You can see the mountains on both sides as well as sea lions, falcons and eagles. There is no bathroom on the northern tip but there is over by the park. The north tip loses most of its beach at high tide so you need to time your trip right. Figure out tides ahead of your trip. Pay attention to where you bring your kayaks up to. Make sure they are placed as high up on higher land as you can get them. Take garbage back with you. Enjoy!

Not a ton to do here, but that makes it great for just enjoying the beach and the water! I prefer going with my own boat, but from 7/4-labor day, theres a ferry to take people from the park to the island. Make sure you plan out your day, you have to get a ticket for your times for the ferry back.

Jetty Island is so fun! The people are very friendly & helpful, they make the whole experience complete! Get there early because tickets go fast, hit the bathrooms when you come off the boat cause there are no other ones on the island & be sure to grab your return ticket slot before you head toward the beach! $3 parking fee for the lot in Everett, but well worth it for a fun day at a not-too-busy beach!!

Fun in the Sun Place to get Away to....

Best beach immediately around Everett / Mukilteo. Nice sandy stretches with few rocks to worry about. Water is typically calm. Island itself has several trails if youd rather wander around doing that instead. Free passenger ferry from Everett Marina to the island; donations are appreciated.

Great for familys the water stays shallow helping it be a great place for kids of all ages but parents also must double as life gaurds.it can take time to make the shorts boat ride to the island as it is a very popular place on a hot day but they do allow for reservations two days in advance(highly recommend making a reservation). Also make sure to pack plant of water snacks and sun screen as there none available to you when you get on the island. Parking is cheap at 3 dollars for the day. All and all a great cheap family day

Its pretty and isolated.

A very family oriented day trip. There are picinic tables both in land and near the water. They have 2 vollyball net. Lots of space to ware out the kiddos run wild both on the beach as well in the water as it only gets about 3 feet deep for a good 20-30 feet off the beach. The fierry boat ride is donations only and very appriciated by the staff who keep it well maintained. Its a fun day for all ages. Thanks guys keep up the great job

If u want some relax time. The jetty is definitly the place to go to get away from all the madness of the city. Love it so much i make it a part of my weekly routine. Once a week..... thanks to the park and rec. For the ferry across and making sure everyone gets back safe. Very nice and pleasant people.

This is one of my favorite places in the world so why 4 stars? Well, Im not thrilled with this summers staff (2018). They seem rude and not invested in the importance of this beautiful place.

The captain, the crew are very nice. Place is clean and well maintained. Get ready is hot and no shade, none. Totally worth it.

Good place to take the family

The free ferry provided by Everett in the summer really made this adventure worth it. Great view on a busy beautiful day. The beach is nice and clean. Volleyball courts well maintained. Would recommend for families.

What gem the city of Everett has here. Quick ferry ride from the Port of Everett to a great beach and tidal flat. Good parking options at the Port for $3 you can park all day. Bathrooms available at the dock landing on the island, helpful park rangers and great winds for flying a kite. Be sure to bring your own water for the day and if you plan to lug a load of beach toys and items with you be sure they are packable as there are no paved or packed trails. Great fun for young or old.

I really enjoy going to Jetty Island

Really nice and quite. Only draw back is there is a lot of seaweed. But still really cute place to take the family.

Easy fun place. Cheap to get there by argosy ferry. Make sure to use bathroom BEFORE heading over. There is only one bathroom on island and not a pleasant one.

My favorite place in the summer. Its like being on a California beach. My kids love the boat ride there and back.

Bring windbreaker or light down for windy island. Guided Nature walk worth the donation of $2 per person.

2/5 people that I boated out with tipped over... one of them had an iPhone so its destroyed, and the other one had an Android and only the speakers arent working very well.

It is a great place to visit. Bring lunch and buckets for digging.. The sand however can get pretty deep wading out to the water as I experienced it 1st hand. Lol..

Go to the website for information before planning your trip, it is very informative. We had a great trip to the Jetty yesterday. Pack baby powder! It helps get all the sand off of skin.

Ive only been here once but, I absolutely loved it. I have yet to have a better time at any other beach. Jetty Island is amazing! The water was warm & I was able to walk quite a long way into the water before it started to get deep.. Id choose Jetty Island over every water park in the universe any day of the week. The best way to spend your summer days. Anyone who hasnt been there, I urge you to at least experience it once.. you wont regret it.

Fun park to visit, especially in the summer. You get to take a small ferry to the island and enjoy the view while traveling on the water. Then you get to enjoy the beach, the view, and the wild life. I highly suggest visiting this island park.

It was breathtaking! Its so beautiful and fun!! You can go to a part and be alone or mix with the huge crowd. Its both romantic, and a great place to take the kids and family!

Always wanted to go here. Boat leaves at 11:45 got there at 11:25 got on the boat just fine no reservations. Saw a seal, pleasant boat ride. Get to the other side and they tell us to make reservations to get back on the boat. We see the boat leaves every 45 mins or so. Seems perfect we only wanted to stay an hour or 2. Talk to the person and they hand us tickets for 5:45! We had to stay on that island with just the lunch we brought and 2 water bottles for 6 hours! Never going again... it felt like we were prisoners. Waited in the stand by line for 2 hours trying to leave early and did not get on. This is a terrible place unless you are fully prepared to be trapped on a tiny island with nothing but a bathroom all day. They should be required to warn you before you board the boat. Had we known we could of prepared better for our extended stay.

Great day trip just make sure to plan on getting there early enough to get passes to ride the ferry. If youre in a larger group you can reserve tickets ahead of time.

Very fun to go with kids. There is a ferry that takes you across the water but make sure to book in advance! Sand on the island so its difficult for stroller usage.

Its a really long beach with plenty of room to spread out. It can be pretty busy during the summer when the ferry is running for good reason.

You have to get to the island by boat. They do provide you with a small very not good on time Little Ferry boat to take you there. The times for that are horrible. Unless you have your own boat you can drive over there. But its not really any different type of a place then this beach thats in your own backyard.

Wonderful! The beach is great, probably my favorite in the area. I recommend calling in advance to get tickets for the boat.

Short ferry ride takes you to an amazing sandy beach, warm water, and great memories. Bring sweater or cover up, sunburn lotion, water, and your lunch. Watching the wind surfers overhead is incredible. Everett treasure.
