Beautiful Building. Amazing architecture. So much history and stories I have been told about inside the building on different floors and the well known stars who have frequented it over the years. The office spaces are very nice, spacious, has an amazing energy being inside the 3rd tallest building Downtown Detroit. If anyone is looking to rent out an office space downtown, I would definetly recommend the Penobscot Building.

Shady place this is. I watched a youtube video of 3 men exploring the town and noticed this building. They simply walked I to the building and 5/renta cops started physically throwing them out. All they wanted to do was look at the architect.

Building is beautiful. However the owner is terrible. Building is not maintained at all heat will only work for a few hours at a time then go out. The windows were probably the original windows, and leaked air, so it would get cold quick in the building. More than 3/4 of the elevators dont work properly. All of the floors above 26 only have 1operational elevator though the bank has 6.

One of the most historically recognized buildings in downtown #Detroit. Full of offices that have housed many well known local law firms, city government offices, small bodega, locally owned clothing stores, restaurants, bars, fine dining eateries, a pingpong themed bar, and lastly, one of the last known shoeshineing places in the country.

Located in the heart of downtown Detroit, They have a restaurant and a mini store inside of the building. They have a public restroom. They have valet parking for 14.00 all day, the price has gone up since 2018 when valet parking was 12.00. They have helpful and friendly security. The building is clean. It is very hard to find free parking. There are many parking lots around the area, but you have to pay to park, the building does not have free parking and it is always crowded around the building.

The employees have no idea where anything is and there is no map or helpful directory of the building. They sent me to the wrong location within the building SIX TIMES including having me go to the Coleman A Young building TWICE which is 2-3 blocks away! This is a beautiful iconic building with so much potential. Unfortunately, the owner refuses to invest the money into this building to renovate and bring it up to speed with the rest of the high rises downtown. I have worked in an office in this building for three years and its a nightmare - neglected to the point of being a safety hazard. Only one or two out of the 6+ elevators are in working order so it takes over 5 mins just to get up to the office at times, maybe more during busy times like lunch or end of the day. People have gotten stuck in the elevators and had to be rescued by the fire department. Amenities for tenants are basically nonexistent - security, maintenance, valet and janitorial all suck.Pay Penobscot a visit to see the architecture. would not recommend renting an office in this building.
