The only complaint is the people taking parking places from people waiting other than that it was nice and relaxing. They need to provide more parking. Also, you can take a boat ride there on diamond jacks river tours 15.00.

I love the Riverwalk, I only wish that it was longer. I have always found it to be remarkably free of trash and debris. It is safe because there is a continuous traffic flow of friendly users, including cyclists, walkers, etc. I have read that plans are in place to extend it to Belle Isle. I can hardly wait for that to happen. Also, there a few cracks that could use some maintenance for cyclists, but not many.

Beautiful day or night and when you get the see a freighter or two it makes it really special.

Love the Riverwalk they are still expanding the Riverwalk its great looking across the Detroit River seeing the country of Canada. You can bike or walk the Riverwalk. People also come down and go fishing. Its great seeing families and people in general everyone speaks passing by.

Beautiful and clean, feels safe. Nice for people watching. Public parking lot has always had spots available, street parking too. People walk, bike, skateboard, etc. The water is pretty to look at. The carousel is very nice.

Great place to walk,relax, eat and people watch. If you like to exercise you can jog,roller skate/blade an ride your bike. There are places to purchase food,drinks(adult drinks also.lol)an dessert .If you like to read there are plenty benches to sit on relax and put your troubles on water an let them drift away

I Love this area of Detroit because this is where the people from Detroit and the people from the surrounding suburbs meet to say Hello. Canada is so close you can almost read the street signs. Its Beautiful here! Come see Detroit we will show you a Good time!

Going to the riverwalk is one of my favorite places to go. I like riding the scooter it feels like Im not even in Detroit . its so beautiful and belle isle isnt far away. I really enjoy it cause I get out and love being in the fresh air. i recommend going down there and experiencing all the things you can do.

Do not miss this place when you are in the downtown Detroit! It is great place to take a walk and enjoy the great view with your friend, your pet, and even yourself. Well... it is pretty cold during the winter season. And some section of the river walk park is closed for a reason. I recommend you get there after spring :)

I was so pleased at how clean and peaceful I found the river walk. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves also.I look forward to taking another walk around here.Detroit has made such a Hugh effort to renew so many areas of downtown and are doing a fantastic job!

Awesome place for family recreation. You can go for a walk or jogging, you also do cycling. Kids love this place because oc water fountain. The GM building is there in the riverside.

This is a wonderful place to come and chill, fish, and just hang with the family. Theres sand boxes and swings for the kids and a bar for the adults. Come riddle the carousel its tons of fun. The area is highly patrolled by Detroits finest law enforcement. Walk the little paths or jog its up to you. You can ride/rent bikes here people even use skates and skateboards. And last but not least if you didnt pack a punch you can purchase food at the food court and yes there are rest rooms....enjoy have a great summer.

The Detroit River Walk goes along side the Detroit River. It is so nice and peaceful. I took my walk at about midnight. The lights reflecting on the water from the boats and buildings were absolutley beautiful. I walked from the Port Authorty, all the way past the Aretha L. Franklin Amphitheater (Chene Park)

It was very nice the snack/ ice cream bar was open at the end. Everyone was social distancing. It was a nice sunny day. All around cant complain. It was a beautiful walk as always

Great place to spend time during summer evenings. Lots to see and do nearby. A must see for anyone visiting Detroit. You can also rent bikes on a hourly basis, and this is especially useful if you are headed to another spot within the downtown loop.

I Love The Riverfront, and its coming along beautifully. Its great exercise, so I cant wait untill they complete it. I just hope they extend the hours, sometimes I cant get there before 10pm, and the water is sooooo calming it helps me think more clearly,. Meditating and watching Gods Spirit move the water. The West River Walk & Hart Plaza @ night on the weekends has been invaded by young scooter riders. Because everywhere you look a scooter is coming toward you, or leaving away from you. And these scooter riders(from every gender, and race) come in packs of 2, or 3, or more. So when you escape one pack another one is coming. I mean this isnt like the years of the past when everybody walked the River Front while a few road bikes. But if having scooters constantly fly by you isnt a problem then welcome to Scooter Land.

Its just beautiful! And they have a lot to do there. Go there as much as we can!

Love coming here in the evening and skating by the river, the energy and atmosphere is pretty much a rarity around here, they also have parking right next to it available until usually 8 to 8:30

Free parking at the meters on the weekend makes this a nice spot to take the kids to see boats. Love the river walk

One of the most scenic parts of the city. Wonderful place to bring the family.

Visited in July/2018. This Riverwalk development was a huge improvement over what was there before. I really enjoyed walking it, and enjoyed looking at the plants, trees, water, and fellow walkers, runners, bicyclists, etc. It was nice that they had a large police and security presence down there. It makes you feel that you are fairly safe. I recommend to check it out next time that you are in the D baby! :)

Constant breeze, beautiful views of Canada and the atretch of the nature walk make this totally enjoyable. Good looking lighthouse pic ops too!

Detroit is really on the comeback, and this Riverfront area is one of the leading indicators. Very nicely finished and well-maintained. Gone are the days where the entire waterfront was Industrial.

Its one of the more beautiful scenes in Detroit. I go their to just sit and listen to the water. It stretches from Belle Isle to downtown Detroit near GM Headquarters. The views of Canada are nice as well. Its a great area to run or bike ride. The city is continuously developing the river walk. A new trail was added this summer. Sometimes I take pictures. Mommy and Daddy geese were out with the kids.

A great place to visit and enjoy the sights on the River Walk. Bring your family and friends. You can even hold small meetings in socially distance areas.

Great place to relax and unwind. They have several lounge chairs under the trees and fountain of water where kids can play around. There is also a nearby open-space cafe which offers snacks and ice so you can get ice here and not stop over at a gas station. They also have restroom. There is lots of stuff going on and just walk straight ahead if youre coming from the park and youll reach the front of the Renaissance Center and a little walk further leads you to Downtown Detroit. There is free parking by the Riverfront park.

The riverwalk is such a beautiful and peaceful place to go!! It has awesome views of the city and Canada. There is an outdoor Cafe and scooters to rent!!

Beautiful area to walk or relax. There is a water area that kids and adults can cool down in on hot days. There is cute little sand area for building sandcastles and a little boardwalk cafe to grab a cheeseburger or nachos as a snack. Overall, just a nice place to spend an afternoon with family.

Perfect for walk or a run. Marks for miles on the track, I believe total is 8 miles. Can get coffee or small bites from the Renaissance or Cheyenne or River Walk cafe (if open). Well maintained.

The RiverWalk is one of our very Fav things to do. You can grab a Great burger or slice of yummy cheesy pizza, and watch the barges go by on the river... Or let the kids play in the fountains in front of the GM building or go on this Amazing carousel. This is a true Gem of Detroit. Come out and enjoy it!!

A jewel in the city of Detroit the river is always beautiful people walk the air early in the morning as well as throughout the day but it is very special in the morning people are friendly and it is nice to walk past people that smile and speak to you.

The river walk was really nice there was a violinist there name Kim Brush 8n my opinion she plays exceptionally well I really enjoyed the selections she played

This was a love place to visit, especially at sunset. It was nice to enjoy a freshly prepared beverage from the bar and lookout to Canada across the water. There was also a carousel and sitting area.

It was truly beautiful! We walked the river until we were tired of walking and then ventured into town for a bite to eat. The only problem that we had was that every resteraunt and store required a mask. Being from our home state that did not require one we couldnt get into any place around. But you could still get a bite on the river out in the open. Id say to anyone in the area to take a moment to enjoy the Riverwalk..its too pretty to ignore!

The Best Place to walk in Detroit, next to Belle Isle or for bike riding! Its very beautiful and depending on the time, tranquil with the waves crashing against the Rivers Bank. Also, as I am sure, most who arrive early, love seeing Gods wonderful handwriting on the sunrise! Awesome!

By far one of my favorite places to visit with my family. The walk is soothing and they view over the river is astonishing. Also the GM building is right in front so you can take amazing pictures!

This is a really nice walk by the river (of course) with a good view of Canada across the river. It a short easy walk which took me about 20 minutes. I didn’t see any wildlife but it was a nice stroll outside in the fresh air.
