This was super neat to explore and see, dangerous though dont go if youre unsure. Beautiful piece of history here.
I thought Jeff was extremely professional. He decided to show us around with a quick tour and saw some great sights while we followed. He followed along the wall and showed us the restaurant which had great ambience and equally delicious food. Next he directed us to the immense art murals on the wall custom designed by the Detroits finest. Definitely worth visiting at night for the lights.
Amazing place for urban exploration, however be weary and protect yourself:A 2004 survey by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality found “asbestos materials, lead waste, industrial equipment, storage tanks, other solid / hazardous debris and wastes, and contaminated soils and concrete” in and around the plant. Further studies found the presence of arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cyanide, lead, mercury, nickel, silver, thallium, and PCB’s.
Abandoned building... but has some sort of spooky feeling to it... dangerous at night... but I like it though...
Definitely didnt go inside. Definitely didnt see the bowl. Definitely didnt get spooked by every noise.
Cool place to take pictures watch out for crack heads tho
Still one of the most accessible abandoned spaces in Detroit.
A lot of history here. Interesting place to visit.
I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place sooner considering how many times I’ve been in here. Unfortunately I think the window of opportunity may quickly be closing like with a lot of Detroit’s other old abandoned factories in its efforts to lock them down and secure them. The last time I was in here (which was about a year ago) they had welded steal plates up over the stairways to prevent people from getting up to the roof but since it’s Detroit someone just used a grind and cut a hole big enough to slip through. I’ve been in nearly every abandoned building in the city along with ones in many other big city’s around the US and I have to say this is one of my favorites and judging by its popularity it’s others as well. You can find some of the best street art Detroit has to offer inside here and up on the roof but unfortunately if it was visible from the outside(meaning the roads) then it’s been scrubbed/painted over by the city in its campaign to clean up the city’s image. It’s only a matter of time before this building is either demo’d or properly sealed off like they did with the Train Station or the Bablo Harbor building(sort of lol) at least that’s my prediction from what I’ve begun to notice over the past few years or so. As for any old history buffs wanting to get a souvenir symbolizing Fisher in some way you might as well forget about it that’s all been gone many many moons ago!!
Great place to explorer.
Can walk right in the building! Ways to climb up to the other floors as well. Nice place to visit an abandoned place with a little bit of American Automotive history
