Was fishing in the park area around 930am nobody was there so easy to park but be careful there is no sign which tell you park a certain way I almost got a ticket because the way I parked luckily I didnt hear him on the speakerphone Im at water fishing and the park was empty just happened to look up and saw his vehicle no ticket but close he was about to start writing whew!Fishing sucked that day also lol.

Juneteenth Detroit Festival that they have here every year was awesome this year!

Trash everywhere and police constantly harassing local citizens. Asking people to lift up their shirts to see if theyre carrying concealed weapons.

Great Times At Maheras-Gentry Park. Every Year, Lamar Family Reunion, Baseball, Basketball, Cycling, CTC ( Conner - Tennessee - Clairpointe ) Old Timers Reunion Picnic. And now play ground swings and things.

It is for the kids...if you are over 25+ leave it alone it is the hang out for the younger generation. Cars everywhere. If you go it better be at 11am or earlier as to enjoy the peace in the park.

Great fun always. A park is what you make of it. Standard basketball. Baseball. Swimming amenities. And my wife and I love walking the river. Id say get your family set up section and make a day of it. Detroits hidden Gem.

Nice place to clear your mind

Maheras Park is a great place to relax and chill with family or by yourself. The part I was on had loads of baseball fields and areas for sitting. The other side was water great for fishing or just relaxing by.

Wish our locals would throw trash in the bins provided. If not they will take it over like they did the island. Why not keep where you enjoy to go clean like you would your home/backyard. It wont kill you. Also, it was pretty till they removed the trees. Could have kept some.

My Family has lived on Navahoe for 63 years. Maheras-Gentry Park has always been where weve had fun. Well the swimming pool and recreation center are yet closed. Theres no playscape and the tennis courts need help. I enjoyed the park today. Theres new construction going on. So its getting better.

Very peaceful in the morning! I love feeding the birds and feeling the breeze and looking out over the water!

The park NEEDS security! It is SO BEAUTIFUL but the people ruin it. Ladies, do not go here alone it’s full of shady people. I’ve been here a bunch of times to see if it’s ever clear but no the parking lot is PACKED with people littering, drinking, doing drugs and BLASTING loud disrespectful music. They leave their trash everywhere.

This is a great neighborhood park to just relax and unwind.

Beautiful, serene park... Love the scenery, its a great place to clear your head.. And the view of the river at night is priceless, very romantic!! You can even take your boat out, go fishing on the bridge.. This is definitely my go to place

City has put in updates for seniors and children. New basketball court, new exercise area, new playscape, swinging benches on the hill overseeing the Detroit River, and a slide from the hill to the play area..

I like the park nice place to chill and have picnic.

I launched my kayak from this park to explore Belle Isle. Its in a beautiful spot along the river but the place is trashed. Broken glass and garbage were everywhere. The people hanging out there did not make us feel welcome or safe. I hope the city does more to restore this place, as it has a lot of potential. As for now, visit at your own risk.

Nice upgrades too park. Nice fun park for picnic family gatherings and fishing access to the Detroit river. Also know as (The foot of conners). Enjoy!

Quiet, but could use some cleaning up tho!!

Park is nice when it is clean and there are a few people here. Would be safer if police patrolled this area. Some people come and start playing loud music and throwing trash everywhere and mess it up for everyone. Belle Isle is more controlled and safer to visit.

This is the park where everyone goes. Its the local park. Usually crowded and a little rowdy but if you stay to yourself you will be ok.

The layout and landscaping of the park is accommodating and appealing to the eye.Acessibility to safety shore fishing areas are welcomed.However, there are no throwing life saving flotational devices available.Having a park attendant at the site to faciltate the rules of the park is a plus factor.Also, an asset would be bathrooms with running water.Additional waste containers for waste would be a plus.
